"Where is she?" Amber turns to Noah, fear consuming her every fiber. "Did you know anything about this?" she demands. "I..I had no idea. All she ever told me when I asked was that she does some side work for her dad's company, but nothing else. I asked her once what kind of work and she just said some small business deals, nothing serious. I never imagined she could be up to something like this." Noah's voice trails off as he examines the scene in front of them. Blood splattered on the walls, chairs flipped and thrown across the small room and at least a few hundred dollars scattered across the floor; a deal gone bad. In the distance, voices can be heard approaching the room. With only one way in and one way out, Amber and Noah's eyes lock, their bodies frozen in fear. Noah makes the first move, grabbing Amber's hand and pulling her to a small couch, untouched by whatever happened in this room just moments before their arrival. They duck down and squeeze themselves between the couch and wall, practically holding their breath to keep from being found. Just outside the door, the voices can be heard louder, but there is no move to open the door. "Boss called and said they got the girl, so I guess we can leave and go see if they need help." one voice says. "Help?! It's just some stupid little girl, how much help could they possibly need?" a second voice asks. The sound of retreating footsteps and fading voices hits Amber and Noah's ears. They exchange a look, waiting a few minutes and quietly move from behind the couch and towards the door. Opening the door, they are met with the evil gleaming eyes of 2 monstrous men.
