Soulsworn- Awakening

As Bridget drove to Shane's house, she was thinking about the way their relationship had been unfolding lately, absentmindedly toying with a long brown curl. They had been trying to take some space from each other so they could have their own spiritual journeys, however the last three days she had driven to his house.  She couldn't help herself, she had called again to ask lightly what he was doing and he had said come on over. She genuinely wanted both of them to grow but they could not seem to stay away from each other. She thought of the last few nights they'd spend wrapped around each other and a smile of anticipation crossed her lips. Her warm brown eyes danced with the excitement that just the thought of him provoked. He had been on her mind all day and the thought of him made her ache with desire.. she pulled up and his car was parked outside but she still called him. He had been hanging out with his buddies and had probably ridden his dirt bike there.  "Hey baby, you at my house?" he asked, confirming his absence. She sighed slightly and confirmed, trying to push down her impatience.  "I'll be there in five," he said quickly, "hell yeah baby! I can't wait!"  His voice was excited and again she tried to push away the annoyance she felt that he wasn't already here. He'd been over there all day, he had known for over an hour that she was on the way, why did he choose to make her wait? Bridget sighed to herself. This was part of the issue they had struggled with since the beginning. Jealousy. Negative reactions. She tried to tell herself she was being an i***t but it was too late, she was irritated and couldn't help herself.  Shane pulled up on his dirt bike moments later. She rolled her eyes at her own foolishness, it hadn't even been 5 minutes, why was she upset?  "Foolish woman," she said out loud and then chuckled lightly at herself shaking her head. He had finished putting up the bike so she followed him inside. He was already undressing when she entered the room.  She stopped to study her love as desire spread through her. She considered them both about average height, she was about 5'5" and he topped her by about five inches. Although slender, his physique was powerful and strong. He tousled his black hair as she watched him and he turned towards her. His warm brown eyes gazed into hers as her heart pounded in her chest. He smiled and said, "hey baby" with a glint in his eyes. She crossed the room to say hello. Her arms wrapped around his neck and he lightly kissed her. And sniffed.  "Smokey?" he asked.  Bridget sighed and nodded, "I told you I'd tell you when I quit.." She pulled away from him and in two swift motions she was undressed. She turned and quickly walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth. Shane watched her walk away and sighed. He hated drama and she seemed agitated already. He waited until she was finished brushing, then walked in to stand next to her by the sink.
