His Angel

Angelica's POV I woke up silently on the sound of my alarm. After shutting my alarm off, I headed to the bathroom to take a warm shower. Even tho my ribs are still hurting from yesterday I must go to school. I pull out white jumper and blue jeans. I slip in my Converse and put my jacket on. I quickly rush out of the house knowing I need at least half an hour of walk. I don't have money for bus as I'm still underaged to work and my father is only giving me money for hygiene stuff. I'm quoting his words: 'Slut like you doesn't deserve anything, but I don't want people to talk how I'm not allowing you to wash.' He is not the father I used to know when I was 7. All changed when he started drinking with that came abusing me and my mother until she died from heart attack. I managed to stay okay in front of people even if I'm torn apart from the inside. God put us for the reason on the place we are now and I hope everything will be alright in the future. I came in front of the big building I call my sanctuary. This is the only place in which I can be treated as a normal human being. I have one bully that's constantly pestering me but that's fine. At the front gates of the school, I was greeted with my best friend Casey. Casey is beautiful blonde girl. She helped me so much when I lost my mum. She knows my condition at home and keeps it a secret because I told her so. She is always here when I have bigger wounds and I'm grateful so much for that. We rushed to our first class. I study hard because of my future. I want to be successful one day, I want to afford to buy clothes by myself, I want to be independent woman one day. That's way education is important to me. I tought today will be normal, like I go to school, prepare a dinner for my dad with earning a beating from him, going to sleep and repeat. I was walking home from school when I almost got hit by a car. My heart stopped for a second. It was very expensive car, I think Lamborghini it's called. But what was hotter than a car was his owner. From the car got out a handsome young men around his twenties. His hair was messed up but he still was handsome than any person out there. He was dressed in a black hoodie and black ripped jeans. He got closer towering over me. I must look up because he was like a hill. He is bigger than 6'3 and has this murderous look on his face that petrified me. He stared at me as much I stared at him. I put my head down when I figured out I was staring for too long. I mumbled 'sorry' ready to turn around but he pulled me back catching my wrist. My limbs stretched and it hurt causing me to let out a small whimper. 'Are you okay?' He asks me with his deep voice on which I shivered. 'Yes sorry I almost caused accident.' I say afraid he might call the cops then my life is over. 'No it's fine but are you okay?' He asks cupping my face. I'm blushing so much right now just because he touched me. 'Yeah, I'm fine. I need to go home.' I tried to remove his hands but he has tight hold on my face. 'You don't look like that. I will drive you to the hospital.' 'No.' I snapped. He doesn't understand. 'What did you said?' He asks angrily. I don't know why is he so worried if I said that there is no need. 'I said I'm fine and I need to go home fast.' I pleaded to him. He let go of my face and poked my stomach, I crunched a little. Tears welled up in my eyes. It hurt so much, it was almost unbearable. 'Then why are you crying?' He brushed his tumbs on my cheeks removing tears. I broke down crying like a child in front of a stranger. The day couldn't pass better. I immediately locked my legs around his waist when he picked me up. I shove my face in his neck crying my eyes out. He put one arm under my butt and with the other was making small circles on my back. I cry for everything in my life. I cry for my abusing father. I cry for my dead mother. I cry for my miserable life. I cry because I can't leave from that house. I was tired of crying and my eyes were closing. I fall asleep in stranger's warm embrace. I was getting a rest I hadn't had in a long time. I woke up covered with jacket in a front seat of a car with arms around me. I fully opened my eyes and looked up to see stranger's eyes already looking at me.I jump backwards with my back hitting steering wheel. 'I'm so sorry I fell asleep on you. I didn't mean it. I'm sorry.' I look down at my lap. 'It's fine princess. I didn't want to wake you up. You looked tired.' He says caressing my cheek. 'Thank you but I really need to go now.' 'I will drive you home, no need to rush.' 'Thank you again.' I mumble feeling awkward with the position. 'Btw, my name is Drake.' He says already keeping my hand. 'I'm Angelica. Nice too meet you.' He drove me in silence except when I told him when to turn. After I got home lights were out meaning dad's not at home. 'Thank you again for helping me.' He hugs me suddenly melting me slowly. 'No problem. I hope we see each other again.' I blush a bit before responding the same. Once I got in, I sprinted in my room. Putting backpack down and immediately changing clothes, I laid on a bed with relief closing my eyes. Why weird things always happen to me? He was so gentle and warm may I add. Nobody was so good to me in a long time. Good people still exist actually.
