Have you ever believed in destiny? It depends. These two characters were from the same world, but never crossed paths till years later.

Meet Allison Miller, a successful billionaire in her twenties. She accomplished everything in life except finding her shining armor.

She’s the master of bad decisions and one of her terrible decisions led her to her shining armor, Isaac Winston.

Here’s how everything started. After one of her closest friends, Jordan lost his modeling agency, she met him at her best friend’s wedding preparations. Jordan warned her about their common enemy, Holland Cooper.

To his luck, Allison was about to open her modeling agency and she just found the perfect manger, she offered him the spot and he had no other options than agreeing.

Now that Jordan had a friend on his side, he narrated Holland’s whole plan to her, and Holland’s next target was a European billionaire. If he agreed to that partnership, then Allison could wave her company good-bye.

Luckily, Allison met the European billionaire at the wedding as he was best friends with the groom.

And let’s just say Allison’s entire plan changed when she saw that man. She only didn’t want the partnership with him, she also wanted his heart.

Isaac Winston, the hot European billionaire, everybody’s target in the business community yet he chose between them wisely.

Women fell for him while he already had set his eyes on one woman, Allison Miller, his very first crush. How did he even have a crush on her without even talking to her?

Well, that’s how the heart worked, unpredictable.

He went to the same college as her but never had the guts to talk to her. Fate played his way, or let’s just say his best friend played a role in it and Isaac saw Allison again at the wedding.

How will Allison win Isaac’s heart if he already liked her before?

Happy & bad news
Allison's POV The elevator opened, viewing the empty floor. I stepped out of it and made my way to the office with my assistant following me; she kept talking about my meetings and job interviews. I huffed and stopped, then turned to face her. She noticed my annoyance and stopped talking. I took off my black sunglasses and took the clipboard from her hands to review everything she just said. My brown eyes trailed the words written on the paper, I shuffled the pages then handed her back the clipboard. "Cancel the job interviews for today and inform the applicants to come tomorrow instead," I said. She nodded and left for her office, which was on the lower floor. I held my sunglasses in my hand and continued walking to my office, my heels clicking echoed in the hallway. I reached the office and pushed the cold glass door open. When I noticed my mother inside the office, giving me her back, I stepped out of the office and the door slammed shut in my face. What was she doing here? I thought. "Allison, I saw you, don't you want to greet your mother, or you also forgot her," mom shouted and I rolled my eyes. I pushed the door open again and saw her standing with a smile. "Hey, mom." I found difficulty in saying this word. Don't get me wrong, I love my mother, but after my father's death, she changed a lot. Our relationship wasn't great either. She usually never visits and I know why my mom gave me this brief visit, marriage. The same topic we always fought on. She was on a hunt to get me a husband while I was already attached to my work. "Allison, you are 25, you aren't getting younger anymore. You get older, you focus on work and nothing else," every word she said, she took a step closer in my direction. When she was in front of me, she grabbed my hand. "Honey, have you ever thought about dating?" She asked with disappointment in her tone. The same speech of hers didn't change except adding numbers to my age. I opened my mouth to defend myself, but mom beat me first. "Don't bring out your exes. They either wanted money or sleeping with you and I warned you about your reckless choices," I sighed and walked to set my stuff on the desk. "Are you ignoring me?" Mom asked when I didn't defend myself again. I knew where she was going with this conversation, and it was hopeless to stop her from continuing. "Mother, I won't go on a date with your best friend's son, fine?" I said, showing her I knew her plan already. A sad smile appeared on her lips. Here we go again. I mentally slapped my forehead. "I just want to see you happy with a man, have children and a life, so I could die peacefully, Alli." Tears dropped on her cheeks, I walked to my mother and pulled her in a hug. If Grandma knew how I treated my mother, she would also visit me and I will have two women giving me the same talk. Allison, save the situation quickly. My inner voice ordered. "Mom, you will live to see my children having children, but I'm not ready now for another toxic relationship." I rubbed her back and pulled away. I still had a soft spot for her, even if she treated me like a piece of s**t. She was the only parent left for me. She nodded and wiped her tears. "Please, just go on this date, he's a good guy," she spoke again. I knew she wouldn't give up. I rubbed my eyes then shot them open, staring at her. I had no choice. "Fine, I will go on a stupid date." I threw my hands, and a smile made her way back on her face. "Mom, after this there are no dates, so quit playing Cupid," I warned, and she ignored me. "I gave your assistant the details, call me after the date." She kissed my cheek and left me stunned in the office. If I said no, she would be more upset, and I didn't want that. When was the last time I went on a date? I asked myself and found out that my mother was right. My last date was three years ago, and it was after my break-up. I guess one date wouldn't hurt. I sat in my comfy chair and brought out the file I prepared for the meeting I had in a couple of hours. I never thought to be like my father, a workaholic. He died when I was seventeen, leaving billions of dollars and a huge chain of companies. He prepared me to take over his work one day, and this was exactly what happened. Miller's enterprise was my father's blood and sweat. He poured every second of his life into his work and it paid off, eventually. I had no time with my father except when I became an intern in the company; he was a very busy man, and I got this trait from him. When I turned eighteen, I took everything and became the youngest female billionaire CEO around the world. All of this was my inheritance from my dear father. The company was known for interior design till my aunt proposed that I expand to fashion. Thanks to her, my designs ranked the most selling in the very first week. So as a thank you, I gave her half of my shares. Sometimes I hate this life as my mother said, people want me for my money and nothing else. My life was perfect as an independent woman and I couldn't ask for more. I was happy this way, but whenever I saw a happy couple together I got jealous. I wanted that type of love and care. I didn't want to be alone for my entire life. I tried to think about the date instead I drowned myself more with work. After a while, I got tired and took off my medical glasses. I yawned and threw my head back on the chair. A soft knock on the door made me groan, I hoped it wasn't more work. "Come in," I said with a loud voice. Clara, my assistant, opened the door and entered with my lunch and a cup of tea. She set the stuff on the coffee table and waited for any further orders. "Thanks, Clara, can you make an appointment with Dr. Reece for the weekend?" I said as I massaged my forehead from the sudden headache that struck my head. She nodded and left the office. I checked the wall clock and figured out I have one hour left before my meeting, so I got up and went to sit on the couch to eat my lunch. My days in the office were usually the same, paperwork, meetings, and job interviews. Later in the day I go to nightclubs or have a girls' night with Jayme. Jayme has been my best friend since middle school, we were very close till my dad died and I pushed everyone away, though it didn't keep her away from me. She stuck by my side and was the only one who heard my problems. She was like my therapist, I can tell her anything without being judged by her, not like my mother. But still, Dr. Reece was my therapist, and he was the best so far, he helped me with anxiety and depression. Work stresses me a lot, and sometimes I drift back to depression. I bit the turkey sandwich and looked at the tv which was viewing recent topics. One of them captured my attention, I pressed the pause button to read the head title. The heck?! I pressed the play button again to hear what they were saying. "Ms. Miller was rumored of stealing Cooper's latest designs which were sold for millions of dollars for the past week, Ms. Miller didn't fight or address the rumors yet but here's a video from Mr. Cooper," they switched to a video, showing Holland Cooper. A man in his mid-fifties with white hair popped on the screen, and I recognized it as I saw him before when dad was alive, except he had ginger hair back in the days. He was also the man I was supposed to have a meeting with later that day. Guess he blew up his chances. "Allison wanted to settle with a decision and that's why she called out for a meeting with me and my board, I can't believe she stole my designs and sold them under her name, sh-" I turned the TV off because it got on my nerves, accusing me of stealing to earn the media's attention wasn't cool. He shot his first arrow and I'm going to unleash my entire army. I sent a message to the show presenter with proof of everything. Beat it, Cooper, I will destroy your entire career. My phone rang, and I thought the show wanted to call me instead it was Jayme. I picked it up and pressed the phone on my ear to hear her squealing. "Why the happy mood, huh?" I asked her. "I'm getting married, Alli, and you, of course, are my maid of honor, no refuse, and I'm expecting you tonight at mine," "Congratulations Jay-Jay," I joined her happiness, and she giggled. "And you saved me from a stupid date." I continued and heard her harsh breath. "A date…" she trailed. I hope she isn't thinking of what I'm thinking. "I'm dressing you up for the date, Hunny." Before I could speak, she hung up on me. I pulled the phone away and set it back on the table. I hated my luck. I had two things to worry about, for now, Holland Cooper and my stupid anonymous date. "Holland, you just started a war with the wrong person," I muttered under my breath.
