Alpha Kawan Wolleson

I looked myself over in the hotel's bathroom mirror once more, I wasn't ready for this. Today was September 13th today would have been a normal day if I had been born human, but because I was not I will be joining thousands for other unmated werewolf girls at the Mating Cerenotry. I had turned 18 in July so this would be my first year going unless someone picks me as their mate. I had curled my blonde hair for this day, my green eyes were a little dull because I was scared. My mom had picked out my dress, a simple plain navy blue, she said she picked this because only a wedding dress should be special. "Are you ready?" My younger sister asked me. She was standing in the hallway between the beds and the bathroom. My sister came to see if I would get picked today. Mom was walking back and forth, talking on the phone with my dad. He was mad that he didn't get to come, he didn't like the thought of Mom being around unmated males. Even though he knows parents come with their daughters or sons. Mom will get a pass that says she's mated and wasn't in the pool. "As I'll ever be," I tell her looking over at Mom she didn't look at me. That was how it was sometimes I felt like my parents didn't want me. They barely paid any attention to me. I met up with Liam, my childhood best friend and hopefully my mate. Liam and I have been friends since my parents were friends with his parents. Liam's mom got pregnant a year and half before my mom did. I was so happy to think that we would become mates, he didn't pick a mate last year so I knew he was waiting for me. "Wow," Liam says. "You look beautiful." I blushed. "Oh it's nothing." I say. Liam reaches out for me, hugging me closely to his chest. "Don't mess with my hair." I tell him. He doesn't say anything else, just lets go of me. I was mostly shy but with Liam I was more myself, I talked a little more. Smiled more, and laughed more than I did with anyone else. We start heading towards the ballroom of the hotel. "Don't embarrass your father and I," my mother hisses at me before leaving me to take my sister to the back since she was too young to find her mate. My parents didn't think I would find my mate tonight because I was shy and didn't talk to anyone but Liam. They thought of me as weak and clumsy and I didn't care. I would be Liam's mate and it wouldn't matter what they thought of me. Liam and I got in line for badges, they would tell others our names, age, if we were Alpha's, Beta's, or Gramma's. They rated us also, so I wasn't surprised when they rated me so low. I knew I wasn't the strongest. I always had a hard time at training. "What did they rate you?" I asked I asked Liam when I got my badge because I was 2/10 "I'm a seven." Liam said when he looked at mine. I smiled shyly and I knew he would be upset about it. He believed I was a lot stronger than everyone else thought I was. "Of course you are." I giggled at him, pushing him playfully on the shoulder. "Big bad Liam James." He pushed me back, and I tripped over the end of my long dress, before I could fall and before Liam could grab me, I cashed into someone. Strong armed on my arms hard enough to leave bruises on my arms. The person behind me from falling on my ass. I blushed before getting off half the floor and half of him because I was just lending back into his chest. Liam had just froze as he stared at the man who caught me. I turned to say thanks when I noticed him. He was taller than people said he was, he had honey brown eyes, with sandy brown hair. He's features were hard and cold. He had a long scar over half his left face, a scar he had since he was a child that no one knew about and everyone was too afraid to ask about. Alpha Wolleson, the scariest Alpha all around. He was the man people talked about to give you nightmares as a child. He was the monster in the closet, under the bed, the man you will never meet but will always fear. I didn't understand why everyone was afraid of him, but now looking into his cold stare I was afraid. Everyone knew who he was because of the scary things he has done, but also because since he's 18th birthday he has been coming to the Mating Cemetery but never picks a mate. He walks around and talks to a few girls but he always goes home alone. All the girls talk about him, and how they hope he'll pick one of them but staring up at him now I hope he never picks me. "A-alpha," I stuttered. "T-t-thanks." He doesn't say anything and I can't keep looking at him so I look down at the floor, to Liam who doesn't say anything I looked to him for help. "Look at me." Alpha Wolleson snaps at me. I snapped my eyes up to him. He grabs my chin looking deeply into my eyes, I whimper in fear I didn't know what he was looking for but when he let me go I went into Liam. standing so close to him we could have been the same person. "What was that?" Liam asked me, like I knew something he didn't. "I don't know." I told him. Liam took me to the table where someone had placed so much food, and drinks that if someone even hit the table or lent into it, everything would fall to the floor. Kawan watched me from across the room, but I pretended not to notice I probably just made his most hated list.
