We didn't have time for this! fighting these weak wolves. The King's best my ass! We were on the brink of war and all I wanted to do was warn them, they needed to hear the information we had, and we needed them for the muscle to get back to our mother. It sounded pretty cut and dry but they refused to listen; they refused to let us speak with their King. However, I couldn't blame them. I am sure my sister and I looked crazed when we arrived. They were only trying to protect their kingdom. There was so much commotion going on I could barely see Julissa, but I could feel her powers radiating around me protecting me from the vicious attacks from the warriors. If everything wasn't so crazy, I would have laughed. Oh, how these men must feel to get their ass kicked by two small girls.
"Julissa, we need to end this, we are outnumbered. More and more warriors keep flooding in. I can hear at least 40 more running this way" I shouted through our mind link.
"It's too late, the King is already here" she replied sounding almost scared. Before I could reply, my senses were flooded with the most mouth water scent. It smelt like fire burning in the summer, it made me weak in the knees. I could hear my wolf chanting something in the back of my mind repeatedly, however I couldn't quite make out what she was saying. I tried to locate the scent in all the chaos.
The second my eyes locked with his it felt like the whole world slowed to a stop. I couldn't see anything but him. He was by far the largest man I've ever seen, he had to be at least 6' 7. His hair was the color of the night sky with facial structure that seemed to be cut by the Gods. His eyes are what shocked me, one glowed a vibrant ruby, while the other glowed like fresh honey in sunlight. He stormed through the pile of dead and unconscious wolves on the ground heading straight for me. The closer he got to me the more my body reacted to his. I am not sure if it was shock or if it was fear, because the power radiating off him was like nothing I've ever felt before. It felt like my brain was rebooting and I couldn't do a damn thing until it was back online. In seconds he had me wrapped tightly in his arms. His large frame shielding my body from the world around us. He growled out one word that traveled throughout the whole surrounding forest; it made everyone in the clearing freeze in shock.
"MINE" and it was at that moment my brain turned back on, and I could hear my wolf call out the same four-letter word.

Demonic was angry when he got word that his border was being attacked by two young girls and his "best and brightest" were calling him for help. However, the second he reached the clearing and he locked eyes the little brown skinned angel for the first time in years, his wolf was almost quite in his head only putting out one word "MINE"
