The Girl Who Is Half-Human and Half-Demon

Chapter 2

       It was sunrise and the bell of the castle rang. Iris woke up complaining, "Ughhhhh!" She buried her face to the pillow while the bells are still ringing. Nikki woke up yawning, she licked her fur and jumped to Iris and said "Wake up Miss Iris, or Queen Callidora will be mad." She touched her hand with her paw. Iris groaned "Fineeee" and Nikki leaped out of the bed and changed herself to a black crop top. Iris got up and stretched. She yawned.

       Her hair was a mess, she got her hairbrush from her dresser and started combing her hair. As soon as she finished coming her hair for 10 minutes, she went to the bathroom and bathed herself. The bathroom was a cabin looking one with a white-colored bathtub. Showered for 10 minutes and covered herself with a white towel and went to her room and found clothes lying on her bed. "Nikki." She called out. "Yes?" Nikki answered. "Who placed these clothes here?" She asked. "Oh, it was Keara. She knows the exact measures of you all. Those clothes are for training and nothing else." Nikki replied.

        "Oh okay." Iris put on the clothes. She wore a black leather corset with a black top underneath it and some black pants paired with some long black boots. "I mean it's a little tight..." She said. Nikki replied, "It's a corset and it's for training." "Right." "You'll be training with swords and bows too later on," Nikki added. "Okay." Iris said. 

          She went out of her room and Nikki followed her. "This way," Nikki said, "the way to the training field." "Alright" Iris replied. Nikki walked to the field. Iris followed. "We're here!" Nikki cheered. The field was full of grass and fighting stands, swords, bows and even a little ballet studio if anyone wants to exercise stretching and standing on both tips. There wasn't much people. Only Jake, Serenity and Keara which all were training. Callidora went up to Iris and said, "You're late." Everyone stopped doing what they doing and looked at Iris.

        "Sorry." Iris was embarrassed and Jake continued on fighting a stand. While everyone was still looking at her.  Callidora sighed, "That's alright, I guess. Now come with me." Callidora walked and Iris followed, the others went back to what they were doing.  "Now, everyone here all has powers but we can't keep relying on our powers because sometimes our Magic will run out and needs time to get it all back. So, I decided to form a training taught by me. But ballet classes are taught by Miss Adams. "Miss Adams? My homeroom teacher?" Iris gasped. 'Yes," Callidora replied. "Miss Adams is actually a demon herself but a "Field Demon" and her actual name is Elranoth. She is my trusted right hand, but she's a ballet dancer and teacher. " "Wait, is that Keara? She's actually putting herself to that work?" Iris asked.

        "Yes, but she has experience in ballet dancing because she schooled here when she was young." Callidora said. "So what should I be training for?" Iris clarified. "You'll be training like Jake over there and practice using bows too. I'm certain you know how to do martial arts?" Calidora asked. "Yeah, of course I do." Iris replied. "Good, cause I'll be teaching you and some people soon on how to use a bow and a sword later in your training." Callidora said. "Okay." She replied. "Here's your spot." Callidora added. "Okay." Iris looked to her side and saw Jake training by himself. Serenity has the same clothing as Iris but smaller, she's over in the west side of the field training with arrows with that flowy brown wavy hair. Iris started punching the wooden stand and kicking it but she also has paid attention to Jake a lot.

        Jake saw a glimpse of her looking at him, Iris looked away and continues on punching and kicking the wooden stand. Jake just smiled a little and chuckled. "i***t!" Iris said to herself and keeps on punching at the wooden stand. "Why are you always looking at him?!" "f**k!" She exclaimed. Then she blasted off a fire to the wooden stand and it burned. Jake looked at her, Iris looked down. Jake wondered what's happening but he didn't seem to care and continued on fighting the wooden stand. Callidora saw what happened and went up to Iris and said "Good job, but next time don't set it on fire because if it was a real person you would end up killing an ally. " She walked away, "Break time for everyone. It's lunch time. Your companions will lead you to the cafeteria." They all stopped practicing and all of them were still wearing their training clothes.

        Keara had a ballet uniform on and tiptoed through the halls of the castle to the cafeteria. In which the cafeteria had a proper lane. One for Iris, another one for Jake, Serenity and Keara. All went to their table. Keara and Serenity talked and laughed while eating, but Iris and Jake were silently eating. Since both are wondering about 'them falling in love'. "Damn it!" Iris thought to herself, she looked at Jake for a little while and she saw that glimpse of Jake having a no emotion face. Jake looked at her and Iris continued eating while blushing a little. She felt her cheeks burning, she ate her food fast and walked to the balcony. "Hmm..." Jake wondered. He finished his food, and walked away. Serenity and Keara then followed.

         Jake looked for her everywhere and at last, he found Iris standing in the balcony singing, "Unconditionally" by Katy Perry. "Hmm, nice voice." He wondered then kept on listening. "Unconditional, unconditionally I will love you unconditionally. There is no fear now. Let go and just be free, I will love you unconditionally." She sang and she levitated, her hair flew and fire started to appear all over her body. "Unconditional, unconditionally I will love you unconditionally. There is no fear now. Let go and just be free, I will love you unconditionally."  She exclaimed. She was still floating without her noticing. Jake blushed a bit and walked away silently. She slowly went down when she stopped singing.

        "Wait, what just happened?" She exclaimed. She looked down to her chest and saw a white heart necklace given by her mother. She saw a paper attached to the back of it and read, "It will help you fight. Trust in it. -Kris" She held tight to the necklace and said "Thanks, Mom." She walked to her chambers. Nikki was sleeping in her room. She jumped to her bed, "Training really is exhausting." Iris said. "Got another training hours in the afternoon. It's gonna be a tiring week for me."  She then sat on her bed, took a black diary from her dresser and started writing on it.

        "Training is real hard isn't it? It's only been a few hours and I'm already tired...Then there's this guy named Jake, he's a friend of mine. I met him a few days ago at school. But I just knew yesterday that he was a 'Half-Demon' like me. Like wtf? why him. Then I met my great-great grandmother, who is a Demon and the Queen of 'The Ivory Fields' so like I'm heir to the throne when she dies and she said I would need a partner/prince/king to help me with duties when I become ruler. But why him? he's such an i***t and I can't help but look at him! Ugh, he's annoying too. Ever since we've been told about me being heir to the throne and having Jake as my partner, I decided to ignore him, but I couldn't. I kept looking at him in an instant and when he looks at me, I look away. He's such an i***t like seriously." She wrote.

    "Ah, I'm done writing." She placed her diary back to her dresser, and went out of her room. She went to the training field and sees Jake in a black robe paired with black boots fighting a wooden stand. Then, she sees Keara practicing her ballet and Serenity using a bow. "Right." She said. She went over beside Jake and started punching a wooden stand. They trained till daybreak, and Callidora went over the field and said "Training is over, we'll continue tomorrow." Everyone was exhausted and went to their chambers. Iris took a bath and wore a sleepwear and went to sleep, everyone was asleep.
