Ximena’s POV   Love? Hate? Pain? Sorrow? I have felt it all, I was betrayed by the man I trusted with my life… I stood by the door tears pouring out of my eyes, my heart throbbing I could even hear the sound of it. The air felt like it was being sucked out of the room, unable to move I stood there taking in the full view of the man who promised me heaven and earth. He was f*****g another woman, yes, he was having s*x somebody else who was not me. How could I have been so foolish? I sacrificed everything for him, I lived my two years trying to please him.  I turned away from the door going out of the room, I held on tight my bag and phone making my way out of the bedroom going god knows where I was going. I made my way to the front door, I dragged myself out of the yard going to the man road, the cold wind blowing under my dress the smell of fresh rain hitting my nostrils. I remember the times I believed in my love with Rowan, I felt a tear escape my eye as I quickly wipe it away as fast as it came.  who was the woman? And why do it when he's the one who asked me to come here?  Did he want me to see that?  I inwardly asked myself different questions The cab arrives showing me the booking code I slide in the back seat closing the door, the driver drives me away from the house, tears keep flowing out of my eyes as I listened to the soft music in the car. The cab pulled over in my aunt’s parking lot and I got out of the cab, handing a $50 note to the driver I walked up to the front door of the house contemplating if I should go in or not, I turned around wanting to walk away when the door opened, I looked back at my aunt and tears were falling from my eyes. I couldn’t hold it back anymore “Oh poor girl!” She rushed to me holding me in her arms I whimpered like a little child, “Let it all out!” she whispered to me as I held on to her crying my eyes out, I held on tight to her just like when I was 6 years old when my own mother came to dump me at her doorstep. “Aunt! I found him and he didn’t even run after me!” I said to her in between sobs sniffing back “Oh, baby! I know it’s hard!” She whispered to me as I cried the more “Why don’t we go inside then you can tell me everything?”  She asked me as she gently patted my back, I nodded my head breaking the hug I walked inside the house going to the living room as I threw myself on the couch, I strong of coffee was all I could get from her tiny apartment “What happened?” She asked me after coming to join me on the couch “I went to see Rowan today!” I said trying to fight back the tears in my eyes “Okay! And?” She asked me, she had so much respect for Rowan since the first time she met him. “I went to his house after my shift to see him but he was… was with another woman” I stammered trying to explain that disgusting scene I found earlier. “Let me bring you some coffee!”  She said standing up going to her kitchen, she shortly came back with strong coffee for me. “So, what happened?” She said pushing back my hair after I sipped from my cup of coffee, I felt the warmth of the coffee going down my throat. . “I found him having s*x with some woman in his house. Aunt he didn’t even bother to come after me” I complained as I choked back my tears, to say my heart was broken would be an understatement. I was literally shattered, I felt like there was no reason for me to go on. “Ximena My child!” She said holding my hand and wiping my tears from my face, but it was like she asked me to cry even more. “How many times am I going to tell you not to cry over a man?” She asked me as tears fell from my eyes, whimpering silently “Now I want you to let it out! You have cried throughout your relationship with Rowan, let today be the last time” She said to me pulling me in a tight embrace, I cried as much as I could holding on tight to her. “I will call Javier to let him knew that you won’t be going in today,” She said after she had helped me get in bed “Thank you, Aunt,” I said pulling a blanket on myself closing my eyes trying to get some sleep, I couldn’t sleep I thought about how I met Rowan two years ago. Rushing through the busy streets of New York, It was my first day at a Hotel. I rushed as fast as I could to try to catch the train but looking at the time, I could not make it. My phone rang looking at it.  it was my friend Jacinta who had helped find a job at the hotel “Hello?” I picked up running as fast as I could. “Babe, where are you? Please tell me you are on a cab right now” She said but I was nowhere near that place “Woke up late and just making my way there, what time does he come in?” I asked her trying to find out if I am losing my job “Well he will be here in 10 minutes and you are not here,” she said almost like she was complaining “I will be there shortly, let me just find a ………….” I wanted to say when I heard the sound of a car screeching on the road. “Hey watch it! Are you blind?” He shouted at me as I looked at how close he was to me; I would have died if he didn’t stop in time. “AM so sorry! I am late for my first day at work” I said to him “That doesn’t justify you running on the road like that” He said and he was right, I apologised again before I wanted to leave, he stopped me “Hey! Where’s your workplace?” He asked and I turned to look at him “It’s on the fourth avenue,” I said to him trying to catch my breath “Okay! Then get in!” He shouted raising his eyebrows as I went around getting in the car as I buckled up, He drove as fast as he could and in less than 10 minutes I was already at the hotel. I quickly got out of the car forgetting to say my goodbyes. I took ten steps before I turned back rushing to his car, “Am Ximena Perez “Nice to meet you I rushed into the hotel going to the staff room and found Jacinta pacing around the room anxiously waiting for me. “Hey! You made it, I was worried you would be fired before you even start working” She said rushing towards me as I was panting trying to catch my breath, she took my bag putting it in my locker as I brushed my hair and fixing my light makeup “Yes, I was giving a lift by someone. I will tell you all about him, now let’s go” I said fixing my skirt and jacket as we made our to the reception
