Prologue
'A demon possessed human is a dead human to me.'
Sarah violently pulled out the angel blade she thrust into the demon's chest. The cry of the demon echoed in the spirit realm as its black blood splattered on the cemented road. Its tail wagged violently as it chased its laboring breath. Its scaly and sharp hands tried their best to reach in her direction. Its green eyes were sharply focused on her as if its glare were going to kill her.
She smirked at the minion of jealousy. "Die, you demon." Gradually, the demon's body ignited, it smoked and flamed before finally disappearing and leaving the man's body.
"What are you doing?"
To Sarah's surprise, Castiel suddenly appeared, along with six other angels in his care. She shook her head. She's gonna hear an earful for three reasons: one for leaving her post in Aessentia Haefen; two for coming to the human realm; and three for killing another pathetic mortal.
"You broke our rule once again, Sarah." Raziel smirks and beams at her, silently clapping in the air. He casually hides his hands when Castiel glares at him.
She calmly wiped the angel blade on her angel robe. She folded her arms and pointed in the direction of the crying woman. "I saved them."
"You mean you killed another human?" hissed Castiel.
"The demon minion is too attached to him already. He'll only bring more harm. I have no choice, Castiel. What I did saved him too," she insisted.
Meanwhile, in the same park, what people are seeing is the gradual disappearance of the breath of the recently dying man. The red blood flowed from the knife he was holding which he suddenly stabbed in his own chest. He finally released the hostage he was holding and fell on the cement. Witnesses at the park each gave their opinions as the responding police approached.
"That is her stalker, right?"
"I guess it's her ex. Probably got too crazy in love. Tsk. Tsk."
Others approached the woman. "Miss Alexandria, are you okay?" Someone wiped the tears from her doe eyes. Another put a handkerchief on her bleeding neck. Somebody called an ambulance. Others didn't care and were even more interested in taking pictures.
While hearing the incoming siren of the ambulance, a man ran from inside the mall and immediately supported the crying hostage earlier. He guided the woman away from the crowd. "I'm sorry I left you..."
The woman shook her head, continuing to cry while holding her large belly that is almost due. Pain reflected on her beautiful face. "My baby..." She looked down at her bleeding leg and panicked. "Save my baby... please..."
Despite Castiel's sermons, Sarah continued to stare at the crying woman. She approached.
"Sarah, what are you going to do? Get away from her."
Sarah ignored the threat in Castiel's tone. Before he could stop her, her hand went up to the pregnant woman's stomach. "It's a boy," she whispered, smiling as she saw the baby in the woman's womb. "Hush, calm down woman. You'll be okay."
"Sarah!"
As Castiel's voice grew louder, Sarah was forced to leave.
Meanwhile, the ambulance responded quickly and took the pregnant woman to the nearest hospital.
The woman did deliver her baby safely.
But with the angel essence on him, the baby itself is far from being safe.
