Pain

A painful kick on my stomach caught me off guard and I jolted up from my peaceful sleep, my eyes opened and I groaned. My wrists struggled to clutch my stomach but they were tied to the metal chains and that's when I knew that I wasn't back in my own bed. My eyes dashed across the cell and landed upon a woman who was standing in front of me. "Get up!" She exclaimed in a very mean tone. I fisted my hands together as the ache in my stomach rose. I got up from the cold ground and moved back to the wall. The woman seemed like she was in her mid 30's, she was wearing a dress and above that she was wearing an apron. I assumed that she was a maid. She placed a tray of food in front of me and then got back up to leave the cell. Until now, I didn't realize how disgusting this place smelled like. The scent of rotten blood and flesh reached up to my nostrils; I just wanted to puke my guts out. The hunger inside me rose as I stared at the food and water in front of me. "Eat," She ordered before leaving the cell. "Wait!" I croaked out. "My hands? How am I supposed to eat?" I questioned as I pointed at my hands which were chained up to the wall. The woman sighed; she came back inside and kneeled down to my hands. My lips curved up into a smile when the chains came off my hand. "Don't think about running away because there is no way out of hell," The woman smiled before leaving the room. Once she was out of my sight, I immediately pulled my hands in front of me and rubbed them. They were black and blue bruises on my wrist and it was aching terribly. I got up and dragged my body towards the sink, I washed my hands with the cold chilling water and looked up at that window. I moved a step forward to see what was outside but the chains on my legs restrained me. They were attached to the wall so I could only move till a very small distance. I sat back down in front of the food and started devouring every bit of it. It almost felt like finding water in a dry desert. I ate every last bit of the food that was provided to me. Once I was done eating, I sat back and rested for someone to come so I can run away or something. My mind was still blank; I didn't know why I was here or why I was kidnapped but I knew one thing and that was, these men weren't good and they were somehow related to my Dad. I started crying by remembering my parents and my school friends. I was just going to the ballet class. I would have been enjoying and partying rather than rotting here. My cries soon began to turn into sobs. From the small window, I could see that it was morning. I didn't know for how long was I here and what date was today. I needed to do something. After some while, the same woman from earlier came inside the cell again. Without saying anything, she picked up the empty tray and was about to leave when I stopped her. "I want to go home, why are you keeping me here? I didn't do anything," I cried. It felt like I was locked up in prison for something I didn't even do anything. I am sure I never did anything bad in my life. To what it seemed like, the men that I had seen earlier were part of an organization or some gang because no one has a huge cell like this and no one had blood smeared in one of them. Maybe they were murderers, or killers. But why me? "Because you have done something bad that's why you are here," She sighed and then turned around to me. "Master has never bought a female so if he has gotten you then it must be for a very horrible reason," She added. Her words send shivers down my spine. Were they going to kill me? "But I didn't do anything, I never harmed anyone," I sobbed loudly. "Are you going to kill me?" I asked. She laughed and replied, "Well, I am not but maybe the master will, who knows!" "What master? Who are you talking about? Please, I want to go home, I didn't do anything. Please let me go," I begged and she walked out of my cell. She locked the cell door and threw the keys inside her pocket. I got up from the ground and hurried towards the door but I couldn't reach it, the chain on my leg restrained me once again. "Please!" I screamed as I watched her leave me alone in complete darkness once again. I dropped down on the center and continued to cry. I tugged on my leg again and again but the chain was too hard and it just caused me pain. The flesh around the chain was red swollen and it was causing me immense pain. I placed my hand on it and tried to reduce the pain but it didn't work. I wanted the chains off my body. My heart jumped out of my chest when the main door was slammed open. I turned my head around to see the same man that I had seen earlier come inside the room and towards my cell with a daunting look on his face. The man who's name I wasn't still aware of came inside my cell, he kneeled right in front of me, studied my face and then turned his eyes towards my hands which were around my bruised leg. Pushing my hands away, he grabbed the chain tight and tugged it causing extreme pain. "Please," I sobbed as I cradled with myself in the corner of the cell hoping he would leave me alone. The man really scared me; I was never scared of men until now. The smirk and the wicked look on his face told me that he wasn't going to leave just like that. "I want to go home," I whispered, my tearing eyes look up at him. There was nothing else in my head except for leaving this place and going back to my Mom and hugging her tightly. "You are never ever going home," He replied as he tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "What do you want from me? Why are you keeping me here? I didn't do anything to you or anyone," I sobbed. He bought his finger up to my lips and said, "Shush, I know." He then rubbed my wet cheeks and I stopped crying for a moment because his touch bought some comfort. "I know you didn't do anything but someone has to pay for what your Dad did," The man said. "What did he do? He didn't do anything," I trailed off while thinking about what my Dad did. He never did anything bad to anyone just like me. Or so I thought. The man's facial expressions suddenly changed, his chiseled jaw clenched and he lined his lips together. "Oh, so you aren't aware of what you Dad has done?" He asked and I immediately shook my head. "Of course, how could he say what all evil things he has done to his daughter but I tell you, no problem." He paused for a moment and then continued. "You Dad killed my sister," My eyes widened in shock from what he just said about my Dad. They narrowed down in shame and I started shaking my head. He couldn't do that. "No! You're lying; my Dad would never kill anyone!" I exclaimed loudly and just as soon as I completed, the man grabbed my face out of anger and pushed me back. "f*****g keep you tone down in front of me," He ordered. I wrapped my hands around his and tried to move his painful grasp away from my face but all my tries failed. This man was 10x more stronger than me and in front of him, I was a weak stick. Tears wetted my cheeks once again. After a long moment, he let go of my face with a harsh push back to the wall. He got up and stormed out of the cell angrily without even locking it. The cell door remained open, and I could see the cell in front of me more clearly. Once he was completely gone, I wiped my tears away and crawled towards the cell door. "f**k," I groaned as the chains restricted me from going any further. I raised my leg and tired to move front but I just couldn't. I hit my hand on the wall and went back where I was. Resting my leg, I threw some cold water on it hoping the pain would go away but it didn't. The water cooled my leg off but it didn't stop the pain. I wanted to get rid of the chains. I didn't want them attached to my skin. I grabbed it with my hand and tried to pull the cold chain off from the wall but the way it was attached, it just seemed impossible. I closed myself in the corner and cried for the rest of the day hoping someone would come and save me. I watched the sun go down and the darkness envelop inside the room. "Someone please help me," I whispered silently to myself knowing no one was going to hear me. I stared at the blank black wall in front of me for as long as I could. Like usual, the door once again opened in the middle of the night. The same woman stood in front of the cell, she looked at the locks and a worried expression crawled up to her face. My cell door was open and I assumed, that worried her. Her footsteps echoed as she came closer to me. "Do you want to go pee?" She asked straightforwardly. The hands around my knees loosened and I nodded my head. I didn't want to pee. A beautiful plan made its way to me as she asked that question. The woman came down to me, she inserted a key inside the chain that was wrapped around to my leg and it unlocked. A smile of happiness crept up on my face and I moved my swollen leg away from the chains. I was finally free from the pain. I could go anywhere, I could do anything, I wasn't restrained anymore! A hand came down to my arm and it pulled me up. I stood straight on the ground beside the woman. My leg didn't support me much because I could barely move it. It was way too bruised and in pain. The woman dragged me outside of my cell room and I got a cleaner view of wherever I was in. It resembled a basement but it wasn't a basement because they were windows and I could see the sky from here. It seemed like a large room inside of something like a house or a building, inside the room they were two cells, one which was mine and the other one where there was blood and flesh. The woman made me walk towards the other cell, she opened the door and took me inside the toilet that was made there. I slapped my hand over my nose as the smell made its way to my nostrils. I was shocked to find out that there wasn't only blood but I could even see actual bones of someone who must've rotten here. "Come on, do whatever you have to quickly!" The woman ordered me as she pushed me towards the sink. There was a small toilet, covered in blood too, beside that a bathtub and a sink. They both were dirty as hell and there was no way I was going to do anything here. I took my chance, placed my both hands on the old woman's chest and pushed her back to the bathtub. She screamed, and tried to grab me but before she could, she fell inside the bathtub. I heard a snap of maybe her bone and then I knew she wasn't going to get up. Do it now, Hanna. I scurried out of the cell and rushed towards the main door, once I was out, I kept on running for my life. My legs were aching with pain and I knew I didn't make t far because I was running inside a warehouse. I kept looking backwards just to make sure that the woman didn't come out. She was screaming but she wasn't running behind me. I was going to get out of here at any cost. Out of blue, I crashed into someone really hard. The person grabbed my both arms and I froze on the spot. My chest steadily raised and dropped down, my heavy breathing continued and I panicked when I saw the man from earlier. Not only him, but behind him the two other men were standing. All of them staring at me with a surprise look on their faces. The man who held me looked the most angriest and that's when I knew I was doomed. There was no way out after this because I was caught. Suddenly, a hand came down to my cheek and I was slapped with such force that I almost loosened my balance. I placed my hand over my stinging cheek and looked at the man who slapped me. I had never been slapped before. Never! My Dad never dared to hit me and this man right here did. I narrowed my eyes down, and once again, I was pushed inside the four cell walls with barely a source of light. The aggressive man threw me on the ground like a rag doll, he gripped my leg and I screamed loudly when he put on chains in them. This time he chained both of my legs. Without even glancing at me, the man walked out of my cell, locked it and went to the woman who was still screaming. I sobbed and tried to push out the chains. I didn't want to be chained again. I just freed myself a few moments ago. My tears bursted out from my eyes and I dropped down after struggling for way too long. The three men were surrounded around the woman, they picked her up from the bath tub and one of the men carried her. "She's bleeding, we need to take her to the hospital, Angelo." The man said to the mean guy who locked me up here and who was terrific. His name was Angelo? "Take her quickly," The man named 'Angelo' ordered to the other two men. They both carried the woman out and soon they all were gone except for Angelo who was still standing in front of my cell. With anger, he was watching them leave and then he turned back to me. My heart jumped out of my chest, and I shrieked when his eyes darted at me. I moved a bit back when he came inside the cell. He roughly grabbed my hair and pulled me down. The look on his face terrified me to the core. I cried out of pain and tried to move his hand away but his grip on my hair was too tight. Out of nowhere, he pulled out a gun, a real f*****g gun. My mouth dropped open as he bought it to my head. "No, no, no, I'm sorry." I cried and squeezed my eyes closed tightly. My whole body was shaking and trembling out of fear as the metal front of the gun touched my bare flesh. It didn't only touch it but he violently pushed it inside me. Was I going to die? Was this going to be it? Was he going to kill me? Is he going too? A moment passed by and the gun didn't go off. The man let go of my hair and he pulled away the gun from my forehead. My eyes opened and I watched him get up straight in front of me. I gulped, hoping he'd leave now. "Can't kill you off so quickly and that's not how you are going to understand," the man trailed off. I was still traumatized with the gun bought up to me that I couldn't take anything anymore. I was at the verge of loosing my life. A wave of something terrifying and uncertain rushed across my body as the man moved his hand down towards his pants. He started undoing his belt in front of me and I trembled out of fear. My lips parted open, my cheeks got wetter and I froze once again. The door slammed open, and the same guy from earlier came inside. "Angelo, you are needed, we can't take her to the hospital without you!" The man said. Angelo stopped whatever he was going to do with me, he nodded his head and fixed his belt then he walked out of the room. I just stared at the blank wall for the next few minutes. Traumatized of what happened and what was going to happen if that man didn't come inside the room. He was going to rape me.
