GAZE

It was a nice sunny day but the cold breeze was flowing and enough to freeze the body. I was coming back from my mother’s home in the day time. She was living a little far away from our place so I decided to use the metro to come back. It was 4 p.m. so it was not much crowded. I was wearing a flared dress below the knee length with a cloche. I have worn an overcoat too to protect myself from cold with long boots up to the knees. There were some families where kids were roaming around in the entire compartment with a chirping sound. Some students were there who were either busy in their smartphone or sitting like me to relax a bit. Some couples also were there who are making out secretly. I smiled slyly after looking at them. I chose to sit on an aloof chair as I don’t want to be get disturbed by anyone. I kept my head on the back of the seat. I was tired of walking as public transportation was not good enough at her place. I was trying to relax a bit by closing my eyes. Slowly I drifted in slumber though I was little conscious about my stuff. Metro was moving on its destination with a pace. People were entering and exiting on different stations. My destinations were little far so it might take an hour or more to reach. Fifteen-twenty minutes only passed I started feeling that somebody was staring at me. My back stiffened with this thought in my mind. I looked around but I saw nobody. Everything was looking quite normal. I again closed my eyes and tried to relax not letting my mind to think something useless. Metro entered into a deep tunnel and suddenly the light got switched off. Though the metro was moving there was deep dark as nobody can even sense his hands. Some screams and howling were there at the moment but all of a sudden everything kept quiet. I tried to stand up and figuring out about other passengers. Slowly the lights came back but they were very dim and flickering.  My eyes got wide opened when I saw the scene in front of me. There was nobody in that compartment except me. My heart started pounding at racing speed. I started sweating what is going around there.  I stood up from my place and started moving in the other compartment as all of them were interconnected with each other. I was in the middle of it and stopped in my track. Suddenly I saw a mysterious silhouette at the entrance of the other compartment. I froze in my track. He was looking creepy and my throat dried up by seeing him. The way he was gazing at me as he was there to kill me. I swallowed a lump of my saliva and started to take my steps back. That person also started moving towards me with baby steps. As he was coming closer to me I can look at him more clearly. His face was looking a little familiar but I was not able to figure out that where I have seen him. His dark blue orbs were gazing at me and giving me creepy feelings. In that condition, my brain was not working at all. I was sweating profusely I was about to turn and run from that place, suddenly he crossed me with wind speed. He flew in the air like a feather and passed me through my body. I chill sensation ran throughout my body. I was feeling like freezing. My hairs erected when that mist passed me. I felt like somebody has clutched my entire body and twisting it with great pressure. My bones were about to crush under his strength. Steps so far, I was not able to move a finger too. I screamed in fear with all my energy. “Ga...…vin...….!!!” I was shivering in the fear that what was it. I have never felt like that. I was trying to catch up my breath but failed. I expand my hand to grab my things but was not able to pick them up. I was moving my left hand here and there vigorously while my right one was holding my chest to control the breath. I felt something is missing in the place. I frowned with closed eyes and tried to figure out something. I shot open my eyes and looked at my left side. I was completely drenched in the sweat. It was middle of the night when I woke up after dreaming like that. My heart was thumping madly. I was not able to understand what was that?  This was the third time I saw this type of dream. My mind was in a big mess now. I looked on the other side of the bed but got anxious when I saw that Gavin was not there in the bed. Where he was? I screamed badly. Still, he didn’t listen to me. I stood up from the bed but my head was spinning badly. I hold it with my both hands and slowly walked out of the room.
