"When that b***h pushed me into the pool, I ripped down her ID badge. As long as I found her ID badge, I would know who did it to me."
Diane's pupils widened when she heard Elena's words.
Yes, it was Diane who pushed Elena into the water. It was dark and the streetlight beside the pool was accidentally broken, giving Diane a perfect opportunity to make a move. Diane wouldn't allow the man she liked to become Elena's fiancé, so she pushed Elena into the pool to drown her.
Diane had always been jealous and hated Elena. She couldn't figure out why Clayton would have a crush on Elena, who knew nothing about fashion and had a bad temper and a bad-looking face. Elena was also a problem student. Why on earth would Clayton like her?
Out of jealousy, Diane decided to kill Elena! She thought that no one would find out what she had done, but she didn't expect that she still made a mistake.
How could she let Elena rip down her ID badge?!
"I know what you want, Lena, but it's not easy for you to investigate this accident alone. Just let it go. The most important thing for you now is to leave with Andrew. If you don't go with Andrew tonight, you guys will have no other chance to be together again! Don't you understand?" Diane said earnestly.
It sounded like Diane was doing this for Elena's own good. Elena smiled lightly and said, "You're right. It's too difficult for me to find out the truth by myself. But I think with Clayton's help, I'd be able to dig her out very soon. I will make that b***h pay for what she has done to me! By the way, Andrew, don't come to see me again. We are done."
Elena looked indifferent as she said that. And then she took a banana aside and peeled it. But the way she ate it didn't look like a lady at all.
"Are you throwing a tantrum now, Elena? You'd better come with me right away. If you really get engaged to Clayton and get laid with him, you will never see me again!"
Andrew felt sick when he saw Elena's crude manners. This woman didn't have a good-looking face or a good taste in clothes. He never liked her from the beginning at all. If it wasn't for the fact that she was still useful, he wouldn't even bother to give her a glance.
"What do you mean, Andrew? Do you have a virgin issue? By the way, are you still a virgin? If you want a virgin, you should keep your virginity too," Elena sneered, throwing the banana peel at his face.
People thought that Elena was nothing but a coarse lady from a powerful family who always looked down her nose at everybody.
She always acted like a willful and spoiled child, but she was very obedient to Andrew. It was obvious that she loved Andrew very much.
Andrew's handsome face darkened when Elena threw the banana peel at him. He warned, "Are you serious? Fine! I'll leave here right now. And I will have nothing to do with you anymore!" He shouted like a furious beast and slammed the door before he left.
He thought that Elena would apologize to him within a day. After all, it was not a new thing that they had quarreled before.
Elena rolled her eyes and taunted, "Funny, he is right about having nothing to do with me anymore. He is going to get engaged to that illegitimate daughter, right? Is he planning to two-time me?" And then she picked up an apple to take a bite.
Diane could hardly sit still. She was here to convince Elena to leave with Andrew tonight. Once Elena tried to leave, she would be taken back by Clayton at the airport and Clayton would be disappointed in her. In that case, Clayton might delay or cancel their engagement.
Seeing that things didn't go on as she expected, Diane got anxious as she looked at Elena and said, "Listen to me, Elena. Don't act like a child! I have told you that Andrew has his own difficulties. He didn't want to be with that illegitimate daughter at all, because the person he loves has always been you!"
"Oh, really?" Elena ate the apple and said indifferently, "but I don't love him anymore."
Seeing Elena was so stubborn, Diane got impatient, "Are you getting mad at him again, Lena? Andrew is angry. I think you'd better go and catch up with him now!"
But Elena just took another bite of the apple and said lightly, "I don't care if he got angry or not, because I don't love him anymore. I can find another boyfriend. Anyway, there is no time to think about this now. I have to call Clayton and ask him to help me to find out who wanted to kill me."
When Elena said this, she fixed her eyes on Diane to scrutinize her face. Her gaze made Diane sweat, and Diane even forgot what to say next.
Elena threw the apple core into the trash and took her phone. She quickly dialed a number and said, "Clayton, when are you free? Can you come to see me? I need your help..."
Hearing this, Diane panicked instantly.
