Gentle breeze waved her long shiny hairs, resulting it to fall inside her eyes. Ignoring the disturbance caused by wind Janhavi stepped into a new part of her life.  Excellence University of Arts and Science, which was world-famous as one of the best colleges in Mumbai. One should either be enough rich or knowledgeable to get admission in this university.  Though She belongs to a typical conservative middle-class Indian family, But she has a goal to achieve. Getting a scholarship in Excellence university is the first step towards her dream.  The college premise was almost filled with rich students. She suddenly felt self-conscious looking at the girls with expensive and stylish outwears. But soon her thoughts were replaced with a new determination to fulfill her dream. She confidently put her next step to reach her destination. She completed all the formalities required by the office room and collected the time table.  Janhavi's pov  I went to the office room and completed the admission procedure. As I am a scholarship student, they asked me to come later to collect the identity card. So I collected the time table and checked for recent classes. The next class was scheduled for ten minutes. As the university was constructed over a large area, the allotted classrooms were situated at a fifteen-minute distance from the head office.  I increased my pace to reach early in the room as it was my first class and I didn't want to upset my lecturer, While moving towards the classroom I bumped into a girl.  “Sorry, I didn't see you earlier.” Being a well-mannered girl I apologized as it was my mistake only. I was moving hurriedly without caring about the surroundings.  “It's OK, I kind of lost into my cell phone too. By the way, I am Niharika, B.Sc. 1st year in biological science.” The girl introduced herself rubbing her forehead. She was the first person who seemed to have some manner, otherwise from the time I stepped inside the university, only rich spoiled brats were spotted, carrying unnecessary attitude.  “Janhavi Mishra here and I also took admission in the same branch.” I introduced myself hoping that I could get a friend as we were in the same branch.  “So, friends?” Niharika asked for my friendship forwarding her hand.  “Friends.” I accepted her friend request wholeheartedly. Even I wanted her as my friend from the time I first see her. Don't know why but she had a positivity aura around her.  I was an introvert nerd back in my school with no one to be called as friend. But I felt a strong connection with Niharika. I hoped we would be good friends in the future.  We together moved towards our classroom to attend the first lecture. I was so focused on the lecture. While unlike me Niharika was peeking into the window as if searching something. I looked in the same direction to find out about the thing she was watching. But it was the football field of the college. Maybe she was fascinated with sports.  After completing three continuous classes the lunch break was announced. Both of us decided to go to the college cafeteria.  Soon We reached the cafeteria. It was a huge space, and I was shocked by finding more number of students here than the classroom.  “Oh, Man! I thought college life would be fun, but the same boring lectures and strict professors! I was feeling like I never left the school.”  A tired Niharika said with disappointment.  “So what else did you expect from college rather than lectures and professors?” I asked with confusion. Isn't we come here to attend lectures only! To whom does she expect other than professors to teach us!  “My innocent Janhu! College life should be fun with bunking lectures and staring at hot and cute boys” She finished her line with a wink at the end.  I widened my eyes at her this gesture.  “Hahahahaha” She bursted into laughter watching my facial expressions. I too smiled looking at her carefree laughter. As I said this girl spreads positivity around her. But don't know why I felt that she was trying to suppress her pain by showing her smile.  I felt a sudden urge to take her sadness away. But considering the less span of time of our friendship, I stayed silent. Maybe I was misjudging her expression. From her attire, she was looking like a rich girl, but her down to earth nature is something rare in today's world. My thoughts halted feeling a pat on my shoulder.  “Hey! Where were you lost? I guess you were thinking about something special. Or someone special?” She finished her sentence with a mischievous smile. While I shooked my head at her childish acts.  “Nothing like that madam. If your food express stopped, then can we moved towards our next lecturer?” I asked her playfully.  “Oh Janhu! Again those boring lectures. Let's bunk it for today only.” This girl and her ideas! I forcefully dragged her to attend the next lecture.  Soon we completed all our lectures and started to leave. But a peon arrived there and stopped us in our path. “Miss Janhavi Mishra!” I nodded my head. “You are informed to collect your identity card from the principal's cabin.” He completed his speech eyeing Niha differently as if he was scared of him, while she rolled her eyes at him. I looked at both of them with confusion.  At the same time, Niha's phone rang, and she urgently left for home bidding bye to me not before saying sorry and take care. I smiled at her caring nature and moved towards the head office.  End of pov Janhavi collected her ID card from the peon after signing in the official register. Then she started to leave. While returning from the office, She heard a soothing sound, probably a guitar tune. She followed the sound only to reach the backside of the college.  Suddenly the sound stopped and Janhavi realized her stupidity. She followed an unknown voice without thinking about the consequences. She was so lost in cursing herself to notice a pair of eyes gazing her facial expressions amusingly. She hurriedly moved towards the college. On her way she noticed a butterfly caged inside a spider web. She carefully freed the butterfly without doing any harm to the web. At that moment she felt a strong gaze on herself. She turned around but found none. Thinking it as her assumption she started moving towards the college again.  On the other side, at the same moment, someone came from the backside of a tree and again watched her retreating figure with some unknown emotions. His eyes were longing and smile was still lingering on his face.
