Please read the first book "Stained Love" and then continue reading this one for a better understanding of the story. Third Person's POV "Moving on to the next slide, here we can check on the risks we would be taking in this deal," "Not only the location for import will be an increase of costs, but we might also face some climatic challenges," "Adding to that, we would need a warehouse build in the southern parts nearby Mumbai to cut renting expenses," "Mr. Dhruv, have you made this presentation?" Mayra asked sitting on the head chair of the conference room spinning the paperweight with her thin fingers. One might think that her concentration was not at all on the person giving the presentation because she wasn't even looking at the screen or him but was fully indulged in the spinning contest. "Miss Sinha I haven't prepared it myself but my team has," He replied with a sense of accomplishment. Every person present in the conference room was impressed with the details of the presentation and the ideas for the new project. "That's great but have you supervised your team?" Mayra asked staring straight at his face without any expression. "Yes, I have," Dhruv, the head acquired for the project replied. He was recruited for this project as he has great experience and has dealt with many such proposals in his past work undertakings. No wonder, the project was something he could easily handle. "Would you then explain why have you shared the Location of the warehouse as a climatic risk as well as an advantage?" Mayra asked leaving the paperweight and leaning on the table resting both her hands. Just by the question that Mayra asked, one can understand how attentive she really was throughout the presentation. Even the person standing there in front of all who was giving the presentation wasn't aware of the point Mayra asked. He moved back to the slide and thought for a minute about what he is about to answer her as his new job is at stake! Mayra rolled her eyes and glanced around the conference room looking at the other employees. She saw one of his team members moving his fingers impatiently looking at his boss. "Can you answer that?" Mayra asked him and he nodded after glancing at his boss guilty. "As we all know that Mumbai has heavy rainfall every year which leads to floods and increases the chance of ruining the stock but it is also a great location for imports through water transport and we do have connections that we can use for the warehouse," He answered. "And what would be the solution?" Mayra asked now looking at the minutes of the last meeting held for this project. "We can u-----" The head tried to answer but was cut off by Mayra. "Mr. Dhruv you haven't given this project much importance by not supervising your team so please refrain from indulging now," She said with a displeased tone and gestured to his subordinate to answer. "We can check for low-risk areas for the warehouse and increase a minimal transport expense," He replied but his voice wasn't confident enough. "Do you have anything you would like to share with us?" Mayra asked him keeping the papers aside. "Ma'am I know that everyone has taken this decision to import the part after checking every possible scenario but I still think there is a better option," He replied and waited for Mayra's approval to continue which he did. "We are already setting up a lot for import but we can produce the product ourselves. We can get some manufacturing units and a separate team to build it up," He replied with a beaming smile which showed how excited he is to share his thoughts. "This is absurd!" "No, Not at all!" "This discussion is not even worth another minute" All of them started murmuring and demotivating the guy. "Enough!" Mayra yelled taking everyone's attention. There was complete silence in the meeting room for a minute and everyone looked at Mayra to continue but she didn't. "Meeting adjourned," Mayra said taking the documents and stood up. "My cabin," She ordered looking at the guy and left. Most of them laughed at the guy and commented on his stupid idea.  In the corporate world, many people would belittle you to gain some sense of superiority. Mayra was no new to this. Since the day she joined, she was never taken seriously until she showed them her abilities. She didn't give much importance to what people say other than what's important to the business. "I told you to not say a word but you went ahead with your over smartness. Now run for your job!" Dhruv said with a chuckle feeling relieved that his job is not at risk now. The guy took his laptop and rushed toward's his CEO's cabin. "Miss Sinha asked for me," He informed her secretary and entered the cabin after getting his approval. As he stepped inside, he glanced around the room with amusement. He took his time to appreciate the modern interior of the space and the look of the glass wall. Mayra was standing with her back in front of him while he was checking her out from head to toe. Mayra had a professional attire of navy blue pants and a white silk shirt. "Please sit Aman," Mayra said breaking his attention, and he moved forward with wobbly steps. "Ma'am you know my name?" He asked in surprise as this was the first time he was having a face-to-face meeting with her but still, she knew his name! "I have heard about you," Mayra replied turning back and looking straight at his face. "I am sorry Miss Sinha, please don't fire me..." He pleaded and Mayra swayed her head chuckling. "What makes you think that I will fire you?" She asked sitting in front of him on her leather seat. "Because I gave you a stupid idea..." He replied looking down at his hands guiltily. "Mr. Aman, are you calling my idea stupid?" Mayra asked with a smirk on her face. Aman's head scooped up in confusion and Mayra responded. "What you suggested was already on my mind. I was planning on expanding to the same industry as you know the market is low at the moment and this is a golden period for an extension. We don't even have many manufacturers in India for the same so we can even increase demand and take hold of the monopoly in no time." Aman's jaw dropped by her words but he composed himself. "That's what I was thinking but Mr. Dhruv said it would be a big risk which we should not take..." He said while the beaming smile was back on his face. "Business is all about calculated risks Aman," Mayra replied and picked up her desk phone. "Raman please come in," She said and cut the call. Seconds later her secretary came in with a notepad and a pen in his hand. "First of all, send a termination letter to Mr. Dhruv Jain with the reason for inefficient work and misrepresentation of skills." Aman gasped hearing her words but was gone unnoticed by everyone. "And Mr. Aman would be taking his position by leading the project. Also, we would be giving him another project to overlook our expansion," Myra said looking at Aman who was stunned by her decision. "Ma'am but I..." Aman tried saying something but they were interrupted by the sound of the opening of the door and glanced towards it to see a tall man wearing a black business suit with his black hair styled perfectly. He just glanced towards Mayra, his brown eyes meeting her blue orbs once and he strode towards the couch unbothered by the presence of the people. His aura was demeaning and dangerous but Mayra looked back at Aman and gestured him to continue. "I don't have an experience like Mr. Dhruv," He resumed. "We don't need an experience which of no use to us Aman. A person who is informed enough and is ready to think out of the box is what we need," Mayra replied and nodded to Raman who left the very second. "I will not let you down Miss Sinha," Aman said and Mayra nodded with a smile. He stood up and peeked at the man who was pouring a drink for himself like he owned the place and left. Mayra walked towards the man who landed on the couch opening his jacket buttons and said, "Comfortable much?" The guy smirked and was about to sip the scotch when Mayra took the glass from him and drank it. "Mayra!" He cried out annoyingly. "Jay!" ************** Hey there lovelies, To know more about this story, please go through my social media accounts. Instagram - Maan_1995writer Facebook -  Maan_1995
