Release Me (On Hold)

I watch helpless as she runs back towards the burning house, I scream at her begging her to turn around and come back to me.  She turns around for a split second, her bright blue eyes wet with unshed tears, her light blonde hair that was almost white blowing wildly around her face, as she looks at me. I could see that she was fighting with herself over what is right, thinking about the choice she has here. She chose wrong because she turns back towards the house, the blue and red flames burning brightly, I scream and cry fighting against the arms that hold me back. They are the only thing that keeps me from following after her. As she disappears into the burning house I turn towards the chest that holds me,  burying my face into them, right as I heard the explosion. I wake up struggling against the blankets on my bed and screaming like someone was murdering me, screaming has been the only sound I've made since that awful night. The single worst night of my life, and I was forced to relive it every night and every day of my life. My bedroom door is thrown open, as Isaiah comes running in. He's in gray sweatpants and a white t-shirt, his dirty blonde hair is all over the place. I sit up and wrap the blanket around me as I wipe at the tears on my face. He looks worriedly at me as I sit up and wrap the blanket around me wiping at the tears on my face. When the nightmares get really bad I have trouble keeping quiet I scream waking the whole house. Raphael sits up from the ground where I no doubt kicked him when the nightmares rolled in. The nightmares I've had since that night have been getting worse not that I tell Isaiah he worries enough as it is. Isaiah sits down by me when I've calmed, Raphael climbs back onto the bed and into my lap. He wraps his tiny arms around me and lays his head on my shoulder, closing his eyes he falls asleep again. "Jaclyn," Isaiah says quietly. I looked up at him, his face was tan and the worry was still there along with dark purple looking bruises under his eyes. Turning away from him I began playing with Raphael's wild dark black hair like Isaiah's and it was sticking up all over the place. Isaiah pulls my attention from Raphael when he says.   "Jaclyn, you should go back to bed." I knew that he would stay with me until I was asleep again sitting on the end on the bed. I couldn't go back to sleep not yet, not when I could still see her, I shook my head at Isaiah not looking up at him he sighs but doesn't say anything for a moment. "We have that meeting with the neighboring pack tomorrow remember?" Isaiah says after a long moment of silence. Looking up towards him;  'Yes, I remember  we're meeting with Midnight Shadow.' Night Shadow was a very powerful and cruel pack; they got their name from their Alpha who hated anyone who didn't belong to his pack, he attacked millions of packs and never left anything behind. The Alpha is known for his killings on other packs for no reason. He was the most scared Alpha in the area, I've never met him before, I don't understand why he's coming to our pack. People say he never leaves his pack. "Okay, I'll see you in the morning." He lends over and kisses my forehead like he does every night since I was a baby. I watch him get up and walk out of the room knowing that once I'm asleep again he'll come in to check on me every once in a while. I lay Raphael down on the bed, before I slide over next to him. I lay there for a long couple of minutes before I fell asleep,  this time there were no nightmares. *^*^*^ "Mom," I heard someone say as I got shaken, "You're going to be late." I heard them say as they shake me again. I groaned as I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I looked at the clock on the nightstand next to the bed. The clock read 9:30 in big red numbers. I felt my eyes widen as I jumped out of bed also falling on my face as my legs got stuck in the blankets. I quickly get dressed grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl on the kitchen table. I started making my way towards the office building, I knew that Raphael's  babysitter would make him breakfast. Before going to the meeting room I grab a jug of water and cups, when I get to the door I open it Isaiah stops  mid-sentence when he sees me walking into the room. Everyone else stopped talking as well. A lot of the other packs didn't know that two people ran our pack. Packs mostly get run by two people an Alpha and a Luna, a Luna is the Alpha's chosen mate she helps run the pack when the Alpha is out of town or needed elsewhere, she helps with other stuff like helping cooks, or watching the children of the pack. Well, that was what my mom did, she helped with training and making sure the pack ran smoothly.  I wasn't Isaiah's mate so that's what made things complicated. Isaiah smiles at me as I set down the cups and water jag. 'Sorry I overslept Isaiah,'  I tell him as soon as my hands are free. "That's okay," he says "I think the other Alpha is running late."  I nod and look around the room, it was fairly big with cream color walls and two windows that had the blinds put up so you could see the sky. Clouds began to form over the sky, big gray, and black clouds you could tell that it was going to rain. There was a long table in the middle of the room full of papers and drinks, Jasper our Beta sat in front of two men I've never seen before, The first guy had blonde hair and tan skin. The other had light brown hair and his skin was sun kissed like spent all his time in the sun. After the death of our parents Isaiah became Alpha of our pack, I made it harder since I was twelve and wanted revenge on whoever killed our parents. I was getting into fights and lots of trouble so Isaiah made me train in order to get a handle on my 'furiously' attitude. After I had calmed down and stopped getting into trouble and fights, Isaiah asked me to help him run the pack. I know that he only asked me because I used to follow dad around with him and he taught me how to help run a pack, I also followed mom around helping in the kitchen and with the sick children. Since then we've become a great team. I still help with the kitchen and training and other things Isaiah needs. I also became the top fighter in our pack not because of being Alpha's sister but because I worked for so long and  worked for where I am now. The door is opened, a tall guy with dark blue eyes that look so cold that you can't help but get lost in them, his black hair is wild on top of his head almost like he needs a haircut. "Alpha Killian Morris," my brother's voice brings me back to the office. "Alpha Isaiah Grey" he said with an odd accent. My brother begins the meeting and I place a cup full of water next to everyone, I don't pay attention to what their talking about until Alpha Killian says; "I'm here today looking for a mate."
