Little Dream

I rub my palm on my forehead. First day and the torture is already started. I tried to cover my eyes to avoid my embarrassment. “Ab.. I’m extremely sorry. Are you ok?” A husky manly voice asked politely. Suddenly the laughter vanish, as if it never existed. I looked up with the painful eyes. A very handsome face with apologetic look staring at me. “I.. I am ok.” Before I could find to add something else, our teacher arrived and everyone took their seat. I looked down as usual and headed to my bench. Very first place in the middle row. I noticed the same boy was sitting just on the next bench beside my bench in the left row. I never seen him before in my class. Who is he? Anyways he looks like he is of rich class. No need to think of him. Definitely he’s like them. The teacher started the lecture by writing name of the topic on the board - “Poverty”. Unknowingly, I reminisced her words. Again my eyes are struggling not to cry. I tremble for a few seconds. I sniffed, trying to control my emotions. I really want to run away. Unknowingly this fetch his attention towards me. He stared at me for few seconds and then focus back to the board. I pushed my feelings aside with difficulty. I have a practice to focus on with the spoiled mood. After all I have spent two and half years in this college. So along with the business management, I have mastered into paying attention in the class while ignoring the pain. After few hours, I was walking towards my workplace. Going home is the only favourite part of my schedule. I daily congratulate myself for finishing half of schedule, that gives me inspiration to finish the other half. This is how I am spending my days, trying to hold on things even though I don’t like doing it. But I really wish someday, I’ll woke up to find out that this painful life is ended and I’m living a life of my dream. Oh god, I never asked you more. I only wanted a little. I sigh and looked into the sky. As if god is listening to my prayer. A life where there will be no more annoying crowd around me. I am doing what I really love to do. I want to earn enough to live a comfortable and respectable life. I ask only for a little love, respect and acceptance. And company of friends and family who will love me and care for me. Am I asking a lot? No.. I have seen you giving much more to others. I’m not complaining about it. I don’t really care about that. I am thankful to you for giving me enough brain to progress, a loving mother and for never making us sleep with empty stomach. But I am really looking for a peaceful, loving and respectable life. I have my own dreams. Please give me enough guts and luck to fulfil my dreams. “How dare you to touch me?” A feminine voice, followed by a sound of slap made me realise that I have reached to Hilltop Restaurant. Oh shit.. Sonia.. she slapped him. A tall figure wearing a deep neck, off shoulder, thigh high pink dress was standing in the corridor. Her attractive curves can not make anyone imagine that she can actually hit someone hard on the face. The man who got slapped was trembling with the anger. “You b***h, you are just a f*****g call girl. How dare you to slap me? You don’t have any right to do that.” The man was about to push her, but she grasp his hand and before he could do next move, she hit her hard between his legs. That move was enough to make him fall on the floor. “You dirty pig, who the hell are you to tell me about my rights? Do you think I’m a naive girl, who will get scared of you? Yes I’m a call girl. But only when I want to call someone. Not when I’m not calling. So you better steer clear of me.” “I will make you pay for this. You will be thrown out of this restaurant and you’ll die on the empty street.” She chuckled. “I have more contacts in police department and I think my friends will happily help me. Because it will help them to climb one step closer to their promotion.” “You.. you..” “Oh shut up and get out. Before I actually do something to you by myself.” She’s already carrying an iron rod in her hand. The man gritted his teeth and walked away. I was stunned by looking at her. Where did she got that confidence? Sometimes I really want to ask her. But I don’t talk much with her, because my mother told me to stay away from her. She said to me that people judge your character by looking at your choice of your friends. So I should be careful. What a mess, I can’ befriend those who I want to. And those who can be my friends don’t want me. She flipped her hair on back and noticed me. I give her smile. She’s not only strong, but she’s beautiful too. “Hey girl, you are coming as a waitress or as a customer today?” She chuckled at my dumbfounded expression. “I.. I am on duty.” I mumbled. “Then hurry up. Otherwise your manager will eat you.” She walked towards the bar without giving a look to me. Did she knows that I admire her a lot and want to befriend her. But I don’t do so because of her social status. My mom’s safety instructions for me.
