Easter Party

1193 Words
The next morning was Easter morning, I wanted to wake up a little early so that William and I would have time to give each other the gifts we got for one another yesterday at the second store we went to. I woke William up saying "My king, it is Easter morning and we have got to get up and go see if the Easter bunny has come to see all of us and the pups. William opened his eyes and looked at me and said that it was too early for the Easter bunny to have come. I finally said "If he doesn't get up, I was going to go get the boys and try to let the kids wallow him in their Easter outfits while they roll around on him. He sits up as if someone kicked him from under the bed. We got dressed and then gave each other the gifts that we got for one another at the second store, these were things that we can have in the bedroom. We had all of the Easter gifts that were supposed to be given to each other and all of the pack members and guests taken down and put in the great hall with the rest of the Easter baskets ready for the party to begin. We went to the pups' rooms. I got the girls, and he got the boys as always. Nicole was dressed in a light pink dress with dark pink bows and flowers on it. Leah had a light purple dress with dark purple flowers and bows on it. James had on a light blue dress shirt with a dark blue vest and gray dress pants. Anthony had on a red dress shirt with a dark red vest and gray dress pants. I got dressed in a dark blue dress that had light blue, pink, purple, and red roses on it. William had on a red dress shirt with dark red, black pants. All of our clothes were made by William’s mom, Cheryl. After we get everyone ready, we go down to the great hall to get the festivities started. When we got down to the great hall, everyone was already there. We got everyone grouped up by age and told all the children that we were going to have an Easter egg hunt for the different age groups. They were all excited about it would be an understatement. They were jumping up and down while hooting and hollering. The first age group to go was the 1-3-year-old children. Then the 4-and-6-year-old children would come next. Lastly, there would be 7- 10- year-olds. With our kids being older they wanted to do one for just the teenagers. We told them that would be fine, but they had to wait until all the other children got their turns. We had some of the omega’s hide the eggs so that the adults with children could help the kids with finding the eggs. When the omegas came back in from outside, William and I got the kids and the parents with children and went out so the kids could find all the eggs. As we were walking out, I asked one of the omegas how many were hidden. A female omega named Ashley said there were 4 dozen, so we had children to find the eggs. Once we thought we found all of them, we had to count them. The kids found all the eggs and the adults had to count them to make sure they were all there. Once we got back inside, the kids were able to play games if they wanted or they could just mingle with the other kids while the omegas were out hiding the eggs again for the next age group. After all the kids had gone out to hunt the eggs the teenagers went out to have their turn, William looked at all of them and told them not to throw them at anyone because there are people that like to eat the eggs after the day was over. Willaim and I were walking around and talking with our guests while the older kids were having their hunt. After about an hour or so I sent a mind link to all of them telling them they needed to come back n we had a surprise for everyone. It took about ten minutes for all of them to file back in. We had everything set up in age-appropriate stations and games for the kids just to give them some fun to do while they were waiting to get their baskets of goodies that were made up the day before. We had the great hall set up in stations so that the younger ones weren't getting run over by the bigger kids and the teenagers. Since William and my kids were still learning to walk, we took them to the toddler's station and let them play with the toys that were there for them. We were watching the children play when an omega brought me a letter that was hand-delivered by one of the council members named Cole, who was the head, Elder. His mate is the Elder of the Blue Rose Moon Pack. They were also my aunt and uncle. I looked at William and asked "Do you know why the council would hand-deliver a letter on a holiday? He turned to me and shook his head now, so when I opened the envelope, it was a letter wishing us a happy Easter and wanting to know if we would host the upcoming mating ritual for our region. They also put in the letter that they were coming for a visit soon. As I finished reading the letter, I turned back to William and handed it to him, and he read it and looked at me and said that " I think it would be a good idea if we had the ritual here." I thought about it for a second, then looked at him and said, " I think so too we will announce it tomorrow after the cleanup." Just as the last group of children was coming in from egg hunting, it was time to give the children, the pack members, and the board members their baskets with the treats and things that we got them after the children played for a little while longer. William and I gathered our children and walked to the front of the hall to the little stage that was set up for occasions like this. We started calling the children up to get their baskets. Once all the children had theirs, we started calling up the teenagers, then the adults were the last to go. They were from William and me. We got all the baskets handed out and told the kids to continue with the fun, then dinner would be served buffet style for everyone to be able to get to it, and it would be easier for the children to be able to pick what they wanted to eat. We had hams, turkeys, and all the traditional fixings that go along with it.
