Chapter 2 – Got Ya

686 Words
Zac was furious, “what do you mean you lost him? Stay there I’m coming and bringing back up, he couldn’t have gotten far with his injuries”. The wolf linked to Zac, “actually Zac, it’s a female. We found her apartment. She also broke her arm I’m pretty sure, she jumped from a three story balcony to escape”. Preparing for situations like this, Gemma had marked mass amounts of this forest frequently. This is where she normally would go for runs, if her scent was everywhere other wolves would struggle to pinpoint her location. Unknown to Gemma Baden’s Moonlight pack had excellent trackers. It may have taken a while, but they arrived at the cave at sunset. Alerting Zac to their position the trackers waited. Gemma woke, her body ached, her throat was dry and she was near starving having not ate since before her encounter with the Moonlight pack yesterday. She was also moving, why was she moving? Gemma cracked her eyes open realizing she was being taken out of a car at what she could only assume was the Moonlight Pack den. Fear shot through her body, they had found her. Once completely out of the car the guards seemed distracted by a linking, she assumed they were being instructed on where to take her. Using all of her strength she ripped her body from the grasp of the man that was holding her. Reaching out to retake her, Gemma moved towards him kneeing between his legs before running for the tree line. She tried to shift, but her body refused to follow her will. She had only made it a few meters before she was shoved from behind making her land on her face, a giant paw in her back holding her to the floor. A seething Zac walked to her briskly half phasing his hand as he lifted her by the neck. Slightly squeezing causing his nails to sink deeply into the soft skin of her neck. Pain shot through Gemma once again, this time a scream left her lips echoing through the silent night. Two men grabbed her arms and walked her to the dungeon throwing her into a cell. She skidded across the floor banging into the back wall of the stone cell. A whimper escaped her lips as she willed herself to shift and huddled herself into the corner. Her white fur was matted with mud and blood, now she truly looked like a rogue she thought. From above she could hear a huge commotion, she couldn’t hear the words, but she was sure that was the Alpha. The coldness, and command dripping from the enraged beast was otherworldly. Just hearing it she cowered further into the back wall, think this is the end. Baden heard the scream of a girl as he sat at this desk. Looking up in confusion at Ian who had just finished linking with Zac. “They got the rogue, it’s a young girl in her early 20’s.” “A f*****g girl are you serious?” Baden flipped his desk in a complete rage. Papers flying everywhere, “they wasted a year of man power on a little girl”. His roar shook the whole den. She has been here all of 5 minutes and she is screaming in pain what the f**k was Zac doing. They didn’t hurt girls.. On the most part he thought back to Amelia who he had nearly killed, but that was an accident.   Ian passed an ipad over to Baden. It was the video feed from the basement, the girl had shifted and was backed into the corner of her cell. She was completely covered in mud and blood, he couldn’t even tell what colour her wolf was. Obviously someone felt the same way because the next thing he knew someone had pointed and was now shooting the poor girl with a fireman’s hose he used torture with ice water “For f**k sake, what is wrong with these idiots”. He threw the iPad into the wall smashing it instantly, walking to the basement with Ian hot on his heels. “Ian summon Derick she needs a doctor.”
