I am ready,” I responded as I smoothed down the front of my apron. I was super excited and super nervous. Today would be my first day working for the Alpha and his family. My brother Patrick has told me the omega staff was needing some help around the castle and I quickly jumped on the opportunity to offer my services.  Patrick agreed to let me work because he would be close by to keep an eye on me. He has always been very protective of me since our parents were murdered back in the days when Alpha Damian’s father ruled and we were at war with other species. Father, Mother, Patrick and I lived in a small cottage in the woods outside the village. I was too young to remember but Patrick saved me before vampire warriors killed our parents. He has been more like a father than an older brother.  I walk out to the kitchen to pack us both some Were-coffee. It is similar to humans only much stronger. We also need caffeine to get through the day but our systems work differently then humans and our bodies can handle a lot, just like alcohol.  I smile, thinking I have never tried Were-wine or even Fairy wine. I am hoping to one day, try both. Without Patrick noticing of course. Patrick walks out to the kitchen and I hand him a cup of coffee. “Thanks, Fae. We should get going or you’re going to be late, on your first day on the job.”  “I’m ready,” I assure him as I gulp my coffee down and then quickly wash out the coffee cup and place it back in the drying rack by the sink. He grabs my shall and puts it around my shoulders as we walk out of the house.  The early morning breeze can be nippy during this time of year. The sun is yet to rise and it is dark outside, once it’s up, it will warm up beautifully.  We quickly make our way to the castle, for we live close by. I had only been in the castle a handful of times when I have been with Patrick on errands or when Alpha Damian has had receptions for the pack.  Patrick was a little hesitant to let me work at the castle at first, for the Alpha has many pack females living in the castle. But after he got to know the Alpha better, he knew that Alpha Damian would respect me and agreed to let me do this job. Alpha Damian is a good leader for our pack. He is nothing like his father. Alpha Damian listens to his people and wants what is best for us. He hasn’t been our Alpha for very long but he has absolutely started making changes for the benefit of the Yellow Moon Pack.  It is going to be an honor to work for him. Patrick was training with the Alpha’s guard and was even being considered in line for the next Gamma.  When we arrive at the castle, Patrick and I go to the back entrance that leads into the kitchen, where the omegas work. We walk in and I notice an older, plump woman washing some fruit in the sink.  One other young omega girl is stirring something on the stove. “Frida, this is Fae, my sister,” Patrick says to the elder omega. She turns around and looks at us, “Thank the Goddess, child. Kayla and I are swamped with everything in this place. I sure could use your help, young one.” Frida says to me. Her smile was so friendly, I felt welcomed right away. “Just tell me what to do,” I said to Frida. Frida started talking about a long list of things that needed to be accomplished before breakfast was served. “Well, it looks like I am leaving you in good hands, I will come by to pick you up after my gamma training,” Patrick says to and gives Frida a wave as he walks back out the door, we came in. “Well first things first, I need to send you to the market, dear. Please bring me back the list of things I need that are on this paper. Don’t dottle, we need those ingredients to get breakfast on the table for the Alpha.” Friday instructed me as she handed me the list. I was hesitant at first. I had never been allowed to go to the market by myself without Patrick.  But I wasn’t about to tell Ms. Frida that. I smiled and took the money from the can by the stove, where Frida said the money was kept for household expenses. I quickly made it to the market. The vendors were just putting up their stands and merchandise out. Luckily the things I needed to get for Frida were already set out and I got to select the best fruit and vegetables I could find. I quickly paid and was on my way back to the castle with my basket of purchases. I walked on the dirt path, through the woods back to the castle. I could see daylight trying to break through the dark night and the sky had started to turn purple. The sun was chasing the night away.  I walked as fast as I could not wanting to dottle as Ms. Frida said and I heard the snapping of a stick behind me. I quickly turned around and noticed a man walking behind me, maybe a few hundred yards away.  His presence made me uneasy so I started to walk faster. He seemed to walk faster as well. I thought about shifting into my wolf form and running the rest of the way to the castle but I wouldn’t be able to hold the basket of goods for Ms. Frida. Maybe I was just being paranoid.  I turned and the man was gone. I guess I was just being paranoid. I smiled and was turning when I suddenly stopped.  “Looking for me, little wolf,” the male voice came from behind me, freezing me in place.  I turned slowly to look at him.  He had appeared out of nowhere.  He must be a warlock. Before I could shift or even scream, I saw darkness. When I came too, the sun was up in the sky and I was covered in dirt. I looked around me and he was standing next to me, fixing his trousers. I scooted back away from him and got ready to scream. “Don’t bother screaming, you dirty dog. By the time someone comes running, I will be gone.  Just know that I was the first to have you and I will be the only one to have you. You now belong to me. I made sure of it.” the warlock says with a laugh. I look down at my dress and realize the red stain of blood. That explains the pain I feel between my legs.  I am in total shock and the only thing that moves are the tears falling silently down my cheeks. “You are forever tainted. I have cursed you, b***h. If any male dares to enter you, they will die painfully. Your body belongs to me and only me. Tell anyone and I will make sure to kill every single person you love.” the warlock threatened me. He kneeled next to me and caressed my cheek with his long finger, I cringed and whimpered when he roughly grabbed my chin and made me look him in the eyes, “What is your name, b***h?”  My lips refused to move and my brain refused to work. He slapped me hard across the face, making me scream in pain. “F..F..Fae,” I whimpered. “Fae. It suits you. You, Fae, now belong to me. I am your owner, forever. You are now property of Ezequiel. You will be faithful to me and only me.  I will visit you from time to time, just to make sure you don’t get too lonely at night, baby. “ he said, kissed me on the cheek and disappeared into thin air. The second he was gone I threw up on the ground. I let the storm of sorrow overtake me and I cried silently. Holding my body together, by pulling my knees up to my chest and wrapping my arms around my legs. I rocked and cried to I was out of tears.  I slowly stood up, on shaky legs. Trying to wipe the dried blood from my leg with my shaking hands. My insides felt all in knots and I felt so dirty.  I picked up the basket of goods, wiping the fruit off of the dirt.  I slowly walked to the castle and placed the basket of food by the door and turned and walked home slowly. It hurt to walk. I brushed my skin raw and sat under hot water till it ran cold, still feeling dirty. I don’t know how long I sat in the shower.  The next thing I realized Patrick was banging at the bathroom door yelling for me, “Fae? Are you in there? What the hell happened? Frida said you disappeared.”  “I...I am not feeling well, Patrick. Please tell Ms. Frida I will be back tomorrow. I just need to stay in bed today,” I said to Patrick, my voice sounding hoarse. “Is there anything you need?” Patrick asks worriedly. “No. Go back to work. I will be fine,” I say, trying to make my voice sound better. “Alright. You rest. I will be back before dark.” he said then I could hear his receding footsteps. I waited till I heard the door of the house close and I got out of the shower. I wrapped myself in a towel and quickly ran to the door to bolt it shut. Then I went to each window, making sure they were all locked and secured. Not that it mattered. If Ezequiel wanted me again, he would appear out of nowhere. I walked to my room and hid under the covers.  I lost myself in my sorrow and pain.
