Unexpected Love

Bonny's Pov

Today it was supposed to be the best day of my life, as I were to get married to the love of my life the man who complete me and my high school sweethearts. I was currently waiting for my fiance Seth at the magistrate office.i have been waiting at the offices for almost an hour and he hasn't showed up or even notify me that he was going to be late. I decided to call him since he wasn't showing up and it was getting late, he picked up after I have made seven calls to him .

" Seth where are you, it's been an hour since I've been here."

I asked with a shaky voice somehow I wasn't confident because he took so long to answer.

" Bonny I won't make it today something has come up and I don't think I should leave it it's important that I finish it."

" what do you mean, how can whatever it is be important than our wedding remember we have been planning this for so long and now we finally have the chance to go through with this"

I felt tears trickling down my eyes, how can this be happening, no he is just teasing me I know it. I sniffled to drive the tears that were threatening to spill so that my make up wouldn't be messed up.

" It is important Bonny, just bear with me for today. I know we planned this but right now I can't make it, I will meet with you later to explain the matter further."

we have been planning this day ever since he proposed and he couldn't wait to get married to me but today he is telling me to cancel everything how can that be.

" But everything has been planned, what about our dreams together, please you can't cancel on me and embarrass me like this."

" I'm sorry to be honest I don't think we are compatible and I don't want kids, we want different things ,so I believe that we won't work." he answered.

" I won't force you to have kids Seth, we can still have a beautiful life without kids, that's how much I love you. please don't do this to me and come here I am waiting for you please I beg of you"

" Tell that b***h that she is disturbing us Seth , I am becoming impatient, it's high time she knows the truth, we can't be hiding forever beside you don't love her anymore why waste time on her. "

A voice echoed from the other side of the phone indicating that there was a female person who was with Seth and I had a feeling that I knew that person very well but who could that be, the voice sounded very familiar.

" Who was that?" I asked in a panicked voice.

"who was what, are you hallucinating again there is no one here ."

" The person who was just talking a few moments ago I heard a female voice Seth "

" you know what f**k it, it's about time I tell you the truth, that was Amelia" he answered so freely without thinking twice.

" What truth Seth, Why would Amelia be with you, where as you were supposed to be here with me getting married.?"

I asked him my heart thumbing like crazy in my rib cage.

" She is helping me with something at the moment and you have interrupted us."

" What kind of a thing is she helping you with,you never work with her, why today. Are you two seeing each other ?"

i asked in a muffled voice no wanting to know the answer ,knowing that I'm about to break down.

" it's clear that you are dumb b***h, obviously we are dating and it's been going on for years, if I were you I would go home and cry myself to sleep because there won't be any wedding that would take place on this day. And by the way the niece that you love so much it's his daughter."

Amelia answered the phone and she was speaking with venom in her voice ,the anger was too much to bear and what was this thing she just mentioned about Kristy being Seth's daughter,I don't believe that,I would have seen it ,or would I? . I was full of questions that I didn't have answers to, I feel like I can't breathe yet I am here trying to find put air in my lungs. How can they do this to me, for all the years I've known them especially Amelia I have never thought she would do this to me, I trusted her, they both betrayed me and it's been happening for four years now since. Kristy is four or maybe even before that.

" No please ,give Seth the phone Amelia please. I need to know what's going on please. "

But the call was ended with a snickering laugh that taunted me the entire time and when that call was disconnected I felt empty and didn't know what to do, I was dejected and way too embarrassed to even try to meet anyone so I decided to sit down on the pavement Infront of the magistrate office without caring about what people would say as they watch me in this state. I just had my heart yanked out and broken into several pieces and handed to me in a silver platter without a second thought and to think that it's the people I held dearly in my heart, is the thing that is slowly killing me. The pain was worse I felt like dying as I felt like there was nothing else for me to live for. while I was busy crying my heart out, I overheard a conversation of a man standing not too far from me and I know it's wrong to eavesdrop but I couldn't help it as he was actually louder.

" I don't like people who are not punctual, she was supposed to have been here ages ago,didn't you tell her how important it was for this to happen at this very moment."

He shouted over the phone and I felt sorry for the person who was on the other line .

" I'm sorry sir, let me try to get hold of her again"

The other man said over the phone speaker as the one next to me was speaking with a speaker on.

" what a waste if time" he sighed and spoke out loud after disconnecting the phone. the phone rang again after a few minutes and he picked it up immediately.

"And ?" he barked at whoever was calling and I got scared at the sound of his voice, it was harsh and cold

" we are unable to get hold of her, even her workplace doesn't know where she is as she didn't report to work today."

" if you didn't find her,why would you come back empty handed, you know how important this is, you should atleast find someone who can do the job and stop wasting my time, make it work."

" I'm not leaving until the deed is done, better find me someone who is willing to get married this instant" He replied.

This was my chance, without even thinking twice I found myself responding.

" I will Marry you."

The man turned around and I responded again with surerity in my voice.

" I will marry you if you are willing" I said again.
