F*ck … I wanted to ask what, but my voice seemed to have gotten lost somewhere. I couldn’t speak. We can’t kill him … Again, I wanted to ask what, but I didn’t even get to think the word, before my wolf whimpered loudly inside my head like she was in pain. She seemed to actually be in pain. I could see her writhing around like she was fighting something, until suddenly she was lying down, her tail tugged in, and she had a submissive look in her eyes. My wolf was nothing but submissive. She was sassy and quite fierce. This was unlike her, but then she offered me an explanation. Mate. Of f*cking course. Of course, the last hybrid male left in the world was my mate … It was just great. I had really hoped that even the Goddess, I had seen my mother pray to every night, would at least have wanted me my freedom too, but instead she had given me to the very person I had despised my entire life, because I knew if he knew I existed, he would want one thing from me, and one thing only. Being mates would make it twice as hard to fight him, but I would fight him. My freedom was what mattered. Nothing more. Ronan lost his mate long ago. They were the last hybrids in the world but also destined mate. He swore to never want another. So, for hundreds of years, he continued to rule on his own, mourning his dead mate and child, until one day he learns he might not be the only one left. Amber was never given much of a choice. Like her mother, she knew if people knew she existed, they would want to pair her with the hybrid king and force her to have his child. She doesn’t want that. She wants her freedom, but she was forced to live hidden away from the world, until her mother died. Then she couldn't contain her curiosity and ventured out in the world. It was a big mistake, and soon she finds herself in chains, just waiting for the king to come to her and do what she has feared the most. Get her pregnant. What Amber didn't know was the king wanted nothing from her, but will it be enough? The council of vampires and werewolves won't give up that easily. They want the king to have an heir, but the real challenge is fighting the mate bond between them. They think they can keep away from each other, but can they? #Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest
“How can you know that, when you haven’t even tried?” I asked her. She sighed and looked at the ground for a moment, before turning back to me again, and I could see the pain in her eyes, how broken she looked. She might have gotten her mark removed, but she had lost herself. It was clear as day. “I put my heart into everything I do,” she said. “I put my soul into it, and I can’t take that risk of trying because I know what will happen.” “You don’t know,” I said. “But I do. I do know.” “Cecilia …” “Don’t … Don’t give me some long speech why I should give this a chance,” she said. “I can’t …” “Why?” “Because I will fall in love with you,” she said. I stood there shocked, as I heard her say those words. It was everything I wanted. Her love. I wanted her to fall in love with me because I could think of nothing better, and I knew she saw it in my eyes. She knew I wanted her love. Lucian has wanted to find his mate for so long, but it never seemed like the Goddess wanted to bless him with one. He even hoped Angela might be his mate because she brought a light into his dark life that has been filled with tragedy and being used by his uncle to keep dark secrets and take care of things he did not wish to take care of. He uses other people to forget his pain, but one day when nothing seems out of the ordinary a stranger enters a life ... or he believes she is a stranger. Cecilia knows what it means to have her heart ripped out of her chest ... Literally, and she refuses to ever let her heart feel anything for anyone again. She drowns herself in work, but when Lara, her luna, invites her to the castle, she meets her second chance, Lucian. She doesn't want him, but can't refuse him either, and Lucian is not one to give up. Can Cecilia ever overcome her fears? And what happens when Lucian's dark past won't stay in the past anymore? #Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest #Summer Update Programme *Book Thirteen* Recommended to first read: A Bite From An Alpha King, A Beta's Undying Love, A Second Chance Mate, A Luna's Broken Heart, An Alpha's Choice, An Alpha's Dark Secret, A Luna's Power, An Alpha's Favor, A Beta's Half-Blood, A Spiritual's Mark, A Queen's Dark Prison, and An Alpha King's Revenge.
“Think very hard about what would be smartest right now. Lying or the truth,” I said before he got to say he didn’t know anything. I was going to find Connor. Someone had to know where he was, and even if I had to travel the world to punish all those who wanted to get rid of me, then so be it. I would gladly show who was the ruler here if they needed me to, but I knew once word spread around that I was hunting down the traitors, people would soon fall in line. They couldn’t help themselves. “Well?” I said. Julian seemed close to snapping, and I knew it was just a matter of time before … Suddenly Julian went for the gun, grabbing it and pointing it at me. I just smiled and leaned back in my seat, and the others didn’t move either, as the other alpha stood up and kept pointing the gun at me. “He will bring a better world,” Julian said. “He will get us all killed. The humans will never accept us. They can’t handle it.” “We will kill them!” he said. I shook my head. “Maybe there was a time when we could overpower them. The thing is they have evolved. They no longer use swords and spears. Now it is guns and missiles. We simply cannot win,” I said. “And that right there is why no one will ever follow you! You are weak!” he told me. “Well, if I am so weak, what are you waiting for?” I asked. “Pull the trigger.” Chris is dead, Kate is gone, Hope has been k*dnapped, Phoenix lost his mind, and Octavia and Valerio are both trying to fight for what is theirs. Their whole world seems to have gone completely off the rails, but none of them are willing to give up. They can't do that now that they must avenge one of their own. Connor has to die, and The Dark Soldiers must be overpowered. This war is coming to an end, but will our heroes be able to get out of it safely? Or are we going to lose more? #Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest *Book Twelve* Recommended to first read: A Bite From An Alpha King, A Beta's Undying Love, A Second Chance Mate, A Luna's Broken Heart, An Alpha's Choice, An Alpha's Dark Secret, A Luna's Power, An Alpha's Favor, A Beta's Half-Blood, A Spiritual's Mark and A Queen's Dark Prison
“Not sorry to tell you, that I prefer another female in my bed,” I told her. She didn’t seem very satisfied with that and narrowed her eyes. I just rolled my eyes and walked away, into the bathroom, quickly undressing and getting under the warm water, but I wasn’t there for long. I knew the quicker I got some sleep, the quicker I could get back to work. So, I showered at lightning speed, before drying off and walking back into the bedroom naked. The cat seemed already to be sleeping, and I quickly got under the covers too. I didn’t care if I pushed her. This was my bed! And I hadn’t invited her, but as soon as I got under the covers, the little fatball lifted her head and then got up so she could lie on my stomach. “No!” I said, but there was no stopping her. She climbed onto my stomach and started making herself comfortable. She ended up lying down, so she could face me, and once again it looked like she was smiling. “What can I do to get rid of you?!” I asked, but she just laid there, closing her eyes, and looking so damn comfortable, I didn’t have the heart to move her. I just fell down on the bed, sighing deeply, before I pushed an arm under my pillow and got comfortable. The little cat started to softly purr, and I was surprised when the sound actually seemed to calm me. Soon, I was fast asleep. For the first time in a long time, it wasn’t a nightmare that held me trapped. No, I actually dreamt a good dream about my mate. Her in my arms, naked and still breathing heavily after a good round of mating. Her head on my chest and one leg over mine. I stroked my hand down the side of her face, and she was looking up at me with those unbelievable eyes. I had never seen anything like it, and my own eyes were yellow. But I had grown up with people around me, who shared the same eyes. Octavia was the last of her kind, and she was all mine. Octavia is no longer herself. After being abused for so long, she is trapped in her wolf form unable to find her way out and slowly forgetting more and more about herself, as she is dragged further into darkness. She sees everyone as a threat and leaves dead bodies all over the world, while both good and bad people chase her, all wanting different things from her. Connor wants to use her as his weapon and her mate wants her back in his arms. Valerio has gone out of his mind losing Octavia but knowing he now had Hunter on his side too, ready to help bring the queen back to him, he got a little more clearheaded and is actually able to return home and be the king he is, but he knows he will never be whole until he has his queen back. Sadly, he cannot forget himself and he needs help from the others, but will it be enough? Can they bring Octavia back and heal her, or is she truly lost to her wild nature? #Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest *Book Eleven* Recommended to first read: A Bite From An Alpha King, A Beta's Undying Love, A Second Chance Mate, A Luna's Broken Heart, An Alpha's Choice, An Alpha's Dark Secret, A Luna's Power, An Alpha's Favor, A Beta's Half-Blood and A Spiritual's Mark
“Now little one, can you tell me why my own mate is trying to have me killed?” he asked in a husk and deep voice. He licked his lips as he looked at me. “Are you not going to answer me?” he asked almost threateningly as he tightened the grip around my throat. “L-…” I tried speaking but nothing would come out. I pulled the silver knife from my back pocket and plunged it with all the force I had left in me right into his chest. He gasped as he looked down at the knife in shock. His eyes then turned to me looking almost horrified as I smiled my evil smile. “Long live my father,” I whispered almost without sound. Octavia is seeking revenge for her father the late king. She has trained since birth to be a deadly killer by her father, but he was brutally murder by the new king. When Octavia on her nineteenth birthday, finally sees an opening to get back at the king for killing her father she sets out to kill him, but his yellow eyes couldn't be mistaken, and she learns something she would rather have lived without. Valerio has finally gotten the throne and now has to keep the promise to an old friend who helped him get it. He has to be mated to his daughter. “I haven’t had sex in over six months, asshole. All because you! So, yes, I am slightly pissed.” I didn’t really plan to admit this. I mean I had no plans of marrying Jax, but my words could easily be interpreted in ways that they shouldn’t be, and I could see they surprised him. “Thought you had switched me out for someone else,” he said, as he started to smile that evil smile again. I was so angry right now. He was purposely pushing me, and he knew what it was doing to me. Like him, I didn’t like to be cornered. I didn’t like that someone was forcing me to admit some things I wasn’t ready to really talk about. I was a private person. He was too. Maybe why we worked so well together, sadly, it also made it impossible for us to really let the other in. We didn’t like it when things came too close, but Jax had clearly spent these six months working on that, because now he seemed all in. “I haven’t seen Luke since I went out with Megan, shortly after she came back to Chicago,” I told him. He seemed even more surprised. “And I haven’t slept with anyone else. So, I am not going to apologize if I feel slightly hurt that you are now rejecting me, when it is clear that you did this to me! You f*cked with my head!” “What happened?” he just asked. “What?” “That night? Why did that night change anything for you?” he asked me, making me swallow hard. I didn’t remember that much about that night, but I did remember what I confessed to Megan. There was no way I was telling him though. He was playing with me, and I didn’t like that, so there was no way I was giving him anything. “That doesn’t matter,” I said. “You are the one being a jerk tonight.” “For taking you out?” “You know what you are doing!” “Oh?” he just asked. I wanted to pull my hair because he was pushing me a lot tonight. Normally, he wouldn’t go so hard on me. I loved our banter. I loved our teasing and challenging the other, but things were different tonight. He was purposely trying to push me to my limits, and I didn’t like it. Kat is not a believer when it comes to relationships. She thinks it is best just to be on your own, and have sex whenever she feels like it, but after a promise that Jax made to her, she is no longer so sure that being on her own is what she wants. Jax has messed with her head, and even if she tries to keep her defenses up, it is hard when he makes her heart beat so much faster, whenever he is near. Jax knows Kat is the one. There is no doubt in his mind, which is why he has promised Kat that she will marry him. He sees no other outcome, because he knows Kat is a runner, and he needs to lock her down with a ring on her finger, but it also means he has to work hard in order to seduce Kat. The game has begun, but can the two of them really figure out what it means to be a married couple? Will Kat ever accept marrying Jax, or will she run so fast and so far, that no one will find her again? #Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest *Book Three* Recommended to first read: Our Loveless Marriage and Our Pointless Fights
“What did you do?!” I yelled as I walked closer, hoping to take them from him, before he did more damage. He threw them away, before I could reach the papers, and then grabbed my shoulders. “I love you,” he said. “It isn’t enough,” I whispered. My heart was beating like crazy. His words were bringing it to life again, and it almost wanted to jump out of my chest, so it could be with him. Even if my mind didn’t agree, my heart was his. There was no doubt. “It is! It is enough because you love me too.” “I …” “I know you do,” he said. I pressed my eyes together, trying my hardest not to cry, and when I opened them again, he didn’t hesitate, as he kissed me hard. I couldn’t stop the tears as he kissed me. It was too good. It was like coming home. Like this was exactly where I should be. “You can’t,” I said and turned my head, but he didn’t listen. He pushed me down on the couch, and then removed his jacket before getting on top of me. He kissed me again, and I responded. I couldn’t help myself. I really f*cking couldn’t. My body was heating up, readying itself, because even my body knew who it belonged to, and for a moment I didn’t want to fight it. I just wanted to listen. I didn’t like being touched very much. Whoever I did end up f*cking was always bound or I made sure to keep their hands away, but something in me craved to feel her even closer, feel her hands on me, leave my scent all over her skin, like she would leave hers on mine. I would never just want a quick shower afterwards. I would never just think of her as a way to scratch an itch. I would be so f*cking obsessed. “Phoenix?” “Yeah?” “You know we aren’t getting out, right?” he asked. “You think I am planning our escape right now?” “Well, you said you were thinking.” “Yeah well … not about a plan.” “No? Is it a certain person, who has come to mind?” he asked, his voice indicating that he saw right through me, just from what I had said. “Something like that …” Hope's heart is broken. She cannot get over the fact Phoenix doesn't want her, and she hates that she is bringing everyone else down with her. She knows she needs to go. She needs to leave, so Phoenix can come home again and be with his family. “Why is it so hard for you to even try?! You are making me play this cruel game!” she sneered lowly. “I hate lying!” “Well, you just have to suck it up,” I told her. She let her arms fall, only to clench her hands into tight fists, like she was ready to punch me. For a second, I believed she might. “Why am I the only one having to suck it up?!” she asked. “Why can’t you give something in return?! Like going to the Bahamas and not abandoning me like some sad little wife, whose own husband can’t even stand to be with her for one second longer than he has to?!” I walked closer to her, ready to tell her that there was a big difference about us spending time together because we had to and because we chose to, but then I heard voices coming closer and instead I wrapped my arms around Megan pulling her against me, before turning us and pressing her up against the counter. “What are you-“ But she didn’t get to finish the sentence, before I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers. We hadn’t kissed before. She hadn’t let me at the wedding, and instead turned her head in the last second, so I kissed her cheek. Now she had no chance to prepare, and I claimed her lips in a hard and hungry kiss, that made her completely melt into me, and gave me a chance to deepen it, letting my tongue slide into her mouth and tangle with hers. Damn she had a sweetness to her. It was twirled together with the chocolate cake she had eaten and the small glass of red wine. She let out this soft moan too, just before the doors opened and in came a drunk and laughing Miss Johnson. Megan the second daughter of the Johnson's family and the daughter of a billionaire and probably the family's last hope to redeem themselves, ends up through an arranged marriage tied to a family friend's son, Nathan, who wants nothing to do with her and uses her only to get back into his family's good grace. Megan gets sucked into Nathan's plans, in hopes to make the marriage easier for the both of them, but it is a hard mission to smile and nod and act all in love, because hopefully if you act happy, then one day you might be. At least, that is the way Megan hopes to survive this awful business transaction that is her marriage. It doesn't help when feelings get involved, and Megan learns just how possessive Nathan can be once he calls something his. Maybe his hate is better than his love? Or maybe it is love, that scares Megan? And the thought of actually being cared for must only lead to a broken heart. Can the two of them really learn to be a real married couple or will they drive each other insane before the year is up? Which is when Nathan is certain his grandfather will name him his successor of his company and empire, instead of his older brother. *Book One*
