I follow close behind Tony with Monica and Alex behind me. My feet sinking further into the snow with each step, seeming like the snow is getting deeper by the minute. I shiver as the cold wind blows into me, sending snow into my face, forcing me to put my head down to breath.  Just a few minutes ago the snow was falling lightly and everything was calm on our hike back down the mountain and now we're caught in a raging snowstorm.  I glance up at Tony's back every minute, feeling my feet and hands starting to grow numb as the temperature continues to drop from the cold wind. All I can hear is the strong winds blowing and the sound of my teeth chattering. My jaws clench down, trying to stop my teeth from chattering, only to cause my jaws to start to ache, forcing me to unclench them.  My thoughts go to the warm car, thinking about the heat blow on high, wondering how much further do we have to go to get down the mountain and back to the car. Looking down to shield my face from the wind, I crash into Tony's back. I look up at him, seeing him standing there looking around. "I can't see the trail." He say looking back at us. I'm barely able to hear the sound of his voice over the wind. I look around through my foggy glasses, not about to see too far ahead. The blizzard making it impossible to see any further. Tony continues to look around for a moment, causing me to start to worry. There's no way in the hell this is how I go out, freezing to death on a mountain in a snowstorm. All I wanted to do was to try something different and go hiking up the mountain and now I may freeze to death because of it, this is a load of bullshit. I continue to look around trying to see if I can see the path that we took up the mountain. I frown a bit when my eyes land on what looks to be the figure of four people standing there in the blizzard, but im unable to tell exactly with the thick flakes of snow falling and my fogged-up glasses. I reach up and wipe away the fog from my lens. I look back to where I saw what looks to be people, but nothing is there now. I doubt anything was there, just my fogged-up glasses making me see things. "Looks like there's a cave or something over there. Come on, we have to get out of this blizzard, the sun will be setting soon." Tony looks over at us, seeing me shaking. He takes off his scarf from around his neck and wraps it around my face, leaving only my eyes uncovered, before wrapping his arms around me, helping me through the snow as the strong winds blow against me. Once we finally get to the cave, I look around not really able to see anything inside the dark cave as I continue to shake uncontrollably, happy to be out of the storm even if it's inside of some cave. I slide down the side of the cave wall next to a shivering Monica, needing to get off my feet, too cold to stand any longer. I wrap my arms around my knees, trying to help my body warm-up. I breathe into the scarf that's wrapped around my face, feeling the warm heat from my breath warming my face up a bit. I watch as Alex takes off his backpack, taking out a small ax. "I'll be right back, there's a small tree right outside of the cave. We need to get wood to start a fire to warm up." He tells Monica and I.  I nod my head, unable to speak as my teeth chatter. I watch as Tony and Alex leaves back out the cave, starting to regret accepting their offer to hike up the mountain. I didn't expect a snowstorm to come out of nowhere.  After about ten minutes or so, Tony and Alex walks back into the cave carrying branches from a tree. I continue to shiver as I watch them set the wood on the cave floor in front of Monica and I. Once they get the fire started, they take a seat next to Monica and I. "I got you." Alex says wrapping his arms around me tightly as I shiver. I lean into him, burying my face into the crook of his neck, feeling the heat from the fire starting to slowly warm me.  I hear Alex let out a low chuckle, as he rubs his hand up and down the side of my arm, trying to warm me up. "Wh-what's fun-funny?" My words come out low through chattering teeth.  "Maybe we should've listened to Those signs that said to keep off the land. This was a shitty hike." He let out another chuckle.  Too cold to even let out the low chuckle that wanted to come out, I close my eyes as I bury my face further into the crook of his neck, trying to warm myself. *** ** * I slowly open my eyes not knowing that I had fallen asleep. I look over seeing me now laying on the cave floor next to a sleeping Alex. I slowly sit up and unwrap the scarf from around my face, feeling nice and warm as the heat from the fire fill the cave. I look over seeing Tony and Monica sleeping as well. I dont hear the wind outside letting me know that the blizzard has passed. I look around the cave as the light from the fire light the walls up reviling some kind of red writing. I look over at them sleeping again, before standing up deciding to not wake them. I make my way over to the other side of the cave, looking at the weird red writing on the wall that I can't understand. It all just looks like a bunch of weird symbols.  I reach out, letting the tips of my fingers trace over the writing as I walk along the side of the cave, looking at all the writing, wondering what it says. Seeing how some of the writing is starting to fade, it's clear that it was done many many years ago.  As I continue to walk, the cave starts to get darker as I get further away from the light of the fire. I stop at a narrow passageway that seems to lead further back into the cave as the writing continues.  I pull out my phone and flash the light ahead as I continue to walk further into the cave until the long narrow passageway starts to widen out again. My eyes widen a bit, looking at this place in awe as I slowly turn, flashing the light from my phone looking at the gold trimming lining the walls along with more of the weird red writing all over the walls. I continue to flash the light from my phone around the room, seeing golden statues, old looking scrolls and other things. What is this place? I ask myself as I continue to look around. I walk over to one of the statues, flashing the light from my phone onto it. I frown a bit as my eyes scan over the golden statue, looking at the scary looking creature. I reach out letting the tips of my fingers trace over the cold smooth shiny gold. Pulling my hand away, I look at the statue for a moment wondering if it's made out of real gold. Reaching into my pocket, I take out the small pocket knife and scrape it against the statue, waiting for paint to peel off. I frown a bit as I pull the knife away and rub my finger over the scrapes, seeing that it's all gold.  "Woah." I whisper to myself, looking around again. I stop the light on what looks to be some kind of weird looking tomb inside of the wall. I walk over and place my hand on the cold metal, letting the tips of my fingers trace over the symbols on the tomb. "Rya." I jump at the sound of Tony's voice echoing through the cave, calling out to me. I take in a breath, calming myself after he just scared the s**t out of me. "Im here." I flash the light from my phone towards the long narrow passageway and wait until I start to see Tony making his way towards me with a flashlight. "What are you doing?" He frowns a bit, flashing the light behind me, before moving it back onto me. "I found this back here in the cave. It's real gold statues in here." I watch as he flashes the flashlight around looking at all the weird stuff in here. As he starts to look around, I bring my attention back to the metal tomb wondering what's inside. I try to pull it open but it doesn't open. "What's that?" Tony asks coming over with his flashlight. "I don't know, it's locked. Maybe there's hidden treasure inside." I smile over at him, joking, but maybe there is gold inside with all the gold statues in here.  I watch as Tony flash the light, looking at the metal tomb, grabbing a handle on the side pulling it down, unlocking it. The tomb squeaks loudly as Tony slowly pulls it open. Hoping to see gold, I flash the light from my phone into the tomb and let out a scream, slapping my hand over my mouth. Now breathing heavily from shock, I feel my airway starting to close as I feel an asthma attack quickly approaching. I reach into my jacket pocket and grab my inhaler and shake it a few times before putting it to my mouth. I take in a deep breath of the medication and slowly exhale, before doing it again feeling my airway opening back up. "Are you okay?" Tony asks, sounding concerned. I give him a nod, unable to speak just yet. I bring the inhaler to my mouth again taking in more of the medication. "Im fine." I say once my breathing evens back out. I stand here with wide eyes as I stare at the face of a corpse, knowing we've disturbed some kind of weird old burial. After a minute or so pass, my wide eyes slowly turn into a frown as my eyes scan over the dried rotted face and the long fangs hanging from the top lip. My eyes slowly move down the dried-up body, looking at the long black claws, knowing this is totally fake. Some asshole probably put this here to scare people shitless and they definitely managed to scare me shitless. "It's fake." Tony let out a chuckle saying what im thinking. I watch as he reaches inside of the tomb and unclamps the necklace from around the corpse neck. "Here's your hidden treasure." He laughs, handing me the necklace. "Haha very funny." I say taking the necklace from him as he continues to laugh, walking over looking at the old scrolls. I look at the big round gold medallion on the necklace. I look at the symbols on the medallion and the red ruby in the center, knowing it probably has to be worth something. After putting the medallion into my coat pocket, I stand here looking at the corpse for a moment, seeing how lifelike it looks.  I slowly reach out and touch the face with the tips of my fingers, expecting to feel plastic. I'm not sure what material was used to make this, but it's not plastic. Moving down to the mouth, touching the long fangs, I cringe a bit feeling some kind of sticky substance dripping from the long sharp fangs.  "s**t!" I say through clenched teeth, feeling this sharp pain shoot through my finger.  "What's wrong?" Tony ask. "I pricked my finger on those stupid teeth." I flash the light on my finger seeing blood starting to drip from where the sharp teeth pierced my finger. I wince at the pain as I press my finger against my pants to stop the bleeding, feeling my finger starting to burn a bit. Tony comes over and takes a look at my finger. "I have bandages in my bag. Come on, let's get out of here. The sun will be coming up soon." He tells me.
