Friday, November 25 8:00 AM Peyton Hosini "I'm surprised many of you showed up. Especially you seniors. Graduating and moving up in life, I remembered when you stepped foot into my classroom. So many memories to share. So, all of you that showed up today, congratulations on becoming an adult." My teacher finished just as the last bell of the day rang. "This is it Peyton." I mumbled to myself as it really it me. I, Peyton Hosini, am finally stepping out into the world. I couldn't believe that today was the day of graduation. 18 years had gone by and I was finally a grown up. Only what would I do with my time? Would I choose to go to college, or maybe take time off and start a job. I knew I couldn't live with mom and dad my entire life. Starting a family is a goal that I value, and hopefully I can achieve that. But, how will I start a family with no boyfriend. Well I did attempt a few relationships. My first boyfriend Jason was a complete jerk and not to mind, he was never paying any attention to me. My second boyfriend however, was a completely different story. At first. Mason Kino, my only high school boyfriend was as sweet and subtle as could be. I let him meet my parents and vice versa. We went on dates, played games together, and fell asleep on the phone like normal couple. That all lasted until he made the football team our second year of high school. After making the team I started noticing changes in his attitude. He was hanging out more with a different group of people, and would often ditch me for them. Then I grew tired and eventually broke up with him halfway through the third year of high school. By then he had completely changed, and it hurt me to let him go, but it was best. Our parents tried countless times to get us back together, but it was pointless. He had changed, and I had began to change as well. Maturity came quick for me after the breakup with Mason, however he became more reckless. As I was studying more, he was partying more, and quickly became the most hated guy in school. He became an early drunk and tried to cover it up by acting, but majorly failed. At his time of being a child, I was molding into a woman, and by the beginning of this year he had dropped out, while I had managed to maintain a gpa of 3.8. I don't really know who Mason is anymore, nor where he is, but as you can tell I sure can pick em. Now onto the current news. What shall I do for the rest of my life. I thought about going to college for a while but the thought only lingered in my head before it was buried under all the possible failures in life. My biggest fear was not succeeding in life, as I had really never failed anything. Mom and dad never let my grades fall too low, and I had never really had to struggle. I never had to walk the streets of town to get anywhere, nor did I need anything. My father provided me monthly allowance which I never spend. I planned to save it for college, but as I said, I'm not too sure if college is the thing for me. "Miss Hosini, are you alright?" my teacher asked, well I should say my past teacher as of now. It was then I realized that I had been starring at the board, the same board of which I had dreaded for the past 237 days. After drowning in realization, I quickly exited the classroom and hopped into my 2020 cherry red mustang. You see what I mean, I had never had a job in my life, but already owned a car that many dreamt of even in their late 30's. It's not something I was proud of, but I surely wasnt complaining. 5:00 PM "Peyton Hosini...Josh Hongzuld" the announcer said as us recipients of the diploma pranced across the stage, received our diploma, and stepped into reality. ——————————————————————————— After the ceremony my mom and dad decided to take me out to eat for our last night together. Earlier that day I had done some serious thinking, and came to the decision that I would go to college. After arriving at my decision, my parents immediately booked my flight to The Terrestrial College Of Blenheim. Now I'm standing at an airport waiting goodbye to my parents as I shed a tear. I never thought I could make it this far in life. Boarding the plane, I looked back once more before my life changed....forever.
