“Chief, the queen is about to put to bed, and the midwife asked for you because she wants you to be the first to see your heir” said the head doctor For the future clan, the doctor wasn’t allowed to help since he was a man and nobody was allowed to see the queen naked accept for the king and midwife who is about to deliver his precious heir “I’m coming let me fetch the herbs to protect her from any evil eyes” he smiled happily it took them time to finally get the queen to be with child, ten years to be exact, since he was crowned the chief of the clan after his father’s death, he went behind the house and picked from the tree taking three big leafs that smelled like mint and lavender they used this leafs for centuries to protect newly born foreseers from evil eyes, although they can see the future some gifts were pure evil, and he didn’t want that for his heir He went into the small house they used to make sure the queen put to bed safely, she was hidden in there from the moment they knew she was with child, for protection against enemies although no one knew about them yet, he still was too cautious He hard screaming coming from the bedroom and a smile adorned his face reaching for the door nob, he saw his wife wet with sweat and legs in the air, and another scream left her dry lips her eyes connecting with her husband’s “it’s okay my love you are almost there” he said taking her hands in his squeezing softly “One more big push my queen, you almost there” said the midwife, and the queen gave one last look at her husband before pushing hard squeezing his hand, and a cry of a child was heard and the chief ran to the side going to see his heir “Its a girl my chief” said the midwife giving him the scissors to cut the umbilical cord, and he did happily and after the child was cleaned and the queen resting waiting to see the small princess the nurse came back with the child both her hands closed and the king too excited to see her gift, he was holding his dear wife’s hand possessively, they been together since childhood, she was the woman his mother chose for him since birth and he loved her dearly The mid wife handed the baby to rlthe chief with a smile on her face, it was a great day, the clan had been waiting for this day since the chief and queen wedded ten years ago, she then went to wait by the door waiting to hear the child’s gift so she can inform members of the future clan who were waiting for the news anxiously, before they begin the celebration The chief hurriedly opened the left palm of his princess and he came up with nothing but that didn’t stop him or the smile on his lips it wasn’t unheard of that the child gift was on the right palm most people used that hand after all, but when he opened her hands he found nothing absolutely nothing and a frown replaced the smile as he hurriedly gave the child to her mother leaving the room angrily and the midwife was knocked out of the way The queen opened both the princess palms to see what was the matter and she also couldn’t find a thing, now, she could see why her husband was angry their child was human, she thought crying handing the child to the midwife “Is it that bad?” asked the midwife taking the baby putting her in the small crib, she had no right to open her palms, she was the helper but her duty was to inform the clan the news good it bad “She’s human” she muttered angrily, her head tilting to the side, she was wondered how can the gods make her own daughter, the princess she sacrificed for to be human that was unheard of, the embarrassment that it was going to bring to the royal household was going to be too much, and the Shane that it’s going to bring her was unbearable maybe being barren was better, thought the queen The midwife nodded but that didn’t change anything she still had to inform the coven members the disgrace the royal family had created, and she was sure nobody was going to be happy upon hearing the news and it was true nobody was and for years nobody even accepted their heir to the throne even her parents didn’t even give her the time of day but by the age if sixteen she overheard the conversation between her parents, and that gave her enough courage to disappear knowing perfectly well nobody was going to look for her, and no one did, until now! ‘who would want a seer without a gift'
