Chapter 1 Sniperization 06:22 pm A bedroom, Manhattan, New York Target’s File Name: Qadir Severn Age: 35 Occupation: Butcher Status: Wanted Vira Cynfael just received the name this morning via her black market company, Murder, Inc. He is currently living in an outer ring of Manhattan under fake identity. But with a little help from technology, they are able to trace him back to his apartment. As if it is not bad enough that he is wanted by the police, he just had to make enemies with the rich. Vira got quite an offer for the guy to make sure that he is dead. Not that she is greedy. Vira loves the excitement of murder. That might sound wrong, coming from a girl of her age. But if you have been active in the world of secret organizations like her, you would be too. She kills for self-defense, but she can also kill for fun. In this case of Qadir, she kills to make sure that he will not kill any innocent civilian anymore. This kind of murder is what turns her on the most. Setting her sniper rifle in place, complete with silencer, Vira takes a long 100 km range aim by using the help of satellite monitor. Her to-be victim of the night will walk in that door in approximately three, two, one…. And she fires. The bullet trans-pierces the air in Wesley Gibson style. It cuts through anything that is in its way and goes through to the target. Vira watches from her laptop screen as Qadir lies bleeding to death. A few minutes later, a knock from her door gains her attention. The motion is followed by, “It’s dinner time, Rara,” by her mother. “Yes, Mom. Just a minute.” She eyes the screen once more, finding Qadir still lying motionless on the floor with his blood splattered everywhere. She closes her laptop and walks out of her bedroom. “So, what’s for dinner?” she asks as if nothing has happened. “Steak and asparagus salad, your favorite.”
