Prologue Seattle, WA Today is my day. The every girl'sdream, The starton beingwith the person you'll live forever, The union of two souls, The sanctification of your marriage, The day wherein I should be happy. "You look so beautiful, dear." My Mom said with teary eyes. Tiningnan ko ang sarili ko sa salamin. I'm wearing a white gown with a long veil. My hair was fixed elegantly and my face was painted with make-up. Maganda talaga ako pero may kulang. "Don't worry Kyra, Daniel will be a good husband." I smiled at her. Isang pilit na ngiti para hindi niya mahalata. Di ko lubos maisip na mahahalintulad sa mga cliché stories at movies ang mangyayari sa buhay ko— a fixed marriage.A fixed marriage with Daniel Harrison, ang lalaking magsasalba sa amin. In books and movies, the leading lady always fell in love with her arranged husband but in my case—in real life case—that is not possible. Well, Daniel is a nice, funny, smart, gentleman, rich and handsome. We dated twice or more, butI could not find me being attracted to him. This marriage might work through friendship, but love? I don't think so. "The wedding will start in five minutes. Bride, let's go?" Nakita kong dumungaw yung wedding planner para samahan akong lumabas ng dressing room. "Can you guys leave me for a second?"Nangungusap ang aking mga matang tiningnan sina Mommy at ang wedding planner. Sumang-ayon naman sila at iniwan ako sa kwarto. I looked myself in the mirror, asking, "Can Kyra Sandico leave her single life— partying, traveling, volunteering, playing, and doing things on her own?" I guess not.
