TYLER I know I said I'll move on But the truth is that I miss you I miss how you used to make me feel I miss how you made me happy Every time I try living a normal life A life with no stress and depression All I think of is you,you were the best thing had ever happened to me I wouldn't lie if I say you made me feel complete I know this probably sounds crazy but I wish you never left You left a gap no has ever made the effort to fill it up I've tried everything to forget about you but the good things you did The sweet memories of you surpass what mistake you made I wish I could tell you this but the situations wont allow When you used to have those stupid pet names just for me When you could call me past midnight to talk about nothing Listen to each others breathe because no one wanted to hang up When you'd send me your favorite songs and asked me not to share with anyone When you'd call me and sing for me before I slept I can assure you that no one has done that ever since you left No one can fill the gap you left behind Why did you have to make those sweet memories and leave me To wallow myself in agony and stress It's never easy to let go, I think I'm breaking apart No one really knows what I'm thinking bout but you're the reason The reason behind my miseries, the reason I'm hurting The fact that I miss you doesn't mean I'm over you If I had the chance I could've killed you with my bare hands And make sure you die a painful death People say I'm a broken b***h with no future Maybe they're right but as for you, you don't deserve to live The thought of loosing you made me shed painful tears But you never came back to check up on me Some say whoever will be with will eventually leave like you left Just like that with no reason, and that's what I'm going through They're loosing hope in me and treating me like trash Once again Tyler, why did you leave me so broken On the verge of ending my own life Please come back and finish what you started, I can't take this anymore ----------------------------------------------------------------------- That was the forth poem Lisa wrote down, writing for him, it was like a norm to her, Every time she felt like talking to someone she used her pen and her book. She would just scribble down whatever feeling she had deep in my heart. Tyler was the love of her life, her first love to be precise. He was everything she ever wanted from a man and he proved to be a good person till that fateful day. I know you might be wondering why she started lamenting but let me do a brief introduction about her. Lisa ,a twenty year old girl,a second born in a family of three, her two brothers Roy and Ray were the only family she was left with after her dad passed away some fifteen years ago. They had been spending the better part of their lives with their grandmother ever since their mum left immediately after their dad passed away after serving a short illness. Now that aside, she was doing that for almost her whole love life, everything seemed so weird to her, she had never ever enjoyed any part of her love life but she spent most of it writing short poems and messages to her exes. About Tyler, he was the first boyfriend she ever gave her heart to, her whole trust ,in short he was her first boyfriend whom they met when she was still in form three. She stood up from her bed and walked straight to her bedroom window, with her bare back facing the other side of the room, she watched the sun set to the west side of the horizon. The beautiful orange sun rays beamed brightly on her face as she watched the busy road down the street. She was in her room,on the fifth floor, the building, was just located in the midst of the town, giving her a picture of the other side of the town, it was a walking distance to her campus and so it wasn't a task going to and fro As she stood by the window, the memories of her meeting with Tyler flowed through her mind, her mind travelled back into her past, some four years ago when she met her first boyfriend Tyler. It was during one of the school's academic trips. She was among the few girls who were chosen to represent her school in the English contest held at the county level in Kakamega school. She was the brightest girl in her class so she wouldn't have missed the chance of being chosen, although the contest was meant for the form fours, she was among the few form three's who got the chance. Her English teacher, Miss Esther had believed in her. The day was going on quite well to her expectations, although the trip was an academic one but students still socialized. She was the shy type and never involved herself with the boys The results were announced and she was the best girl, Tyler was the best boy. And that's how they clicked. At the end of the day they had met, talked and even exchanged contacts. Even though they were both students their relationship still grew and nourished. Even after they joined University, their relationship has no doubt. That was it until the previous day when Tyler decided to break those saddening news to her, the news about their breakup. It tore her apart, she tried begging him to at least give her an explanation but he refused saying he wasn't comfortable dating her knowing well she was miles away from him. But that was it, it was over and she now had to move on, focus on her life and forget anything about him. After all she wasn't going to fight for what was not hers. Stemming those memories out of her mind, she walked past her bed to the adjacent room which was serving a purpose for both the bathroom and the toilet as most of the bed sitters are known to be. She walked in to the shower and adjusted her position under the shower, as the hot steamy water cascaded down her back, tears freely flowed down her cheeks, she couldn't control them, it was turning out to be a nightmare to her. Another night full of thoughts, regrets, mystery was soon approaching and there was nothing she was going to do, she only hoped that these awful days would just go on quickly and let her see other brighter days. After spending the better time of the evening in the shower, she walked out and wrapped her towel around her body. She applied some oil on her soft and spotless skin and slid into her shorts and a baggy T-shirt scribbled " it's my life". One of the t-shirts that Tyler used to leave behind whenever he visited her. She didn't throw them away or burnt them like others would do but she kept them with her because they carried the memories she never wanted to let go not knowing she was worsening the situation than it already was. After supper she decided to call Tyler hoping that this time it would be different, but to her disappointment ,the call went straight to voice mail. She sighed looking disappointed and went to bed earlier than she had planned
