Prologue

309 Words
Humans should never have believed they were at the top of the food chain. They never were, they never had been and they never would be. Their arrogance had been the cause of the destruction that had come. They did it, so now, they were suffering from the consequences of it. The entire Earth, split down the middle. It's where the demons rose from, well, it's what they liked to believe. The humans always needed answers, I think it's what kept them sane. However, once the split had happened, each side thought the other side of the world had died.  They weren't allowed to contact one another, the God's had made sure of it. The only way to get to the other side was to wander past the split. And, no one was brave enough to do it. The rare few that did, never came back.  Of course, they were humans. No Angel or demon had tried, they had no reason too. But maybe, if they so pleased, they could. Now, one side was overflowing with demons, while the other was where the angel's roamed. Of course, both sides had some of the opposites, celestial balance and all.  Some scientists believed that it was hallow, the split that was. That there was no bottom, if you fell into the split, you would simply fall straight through the planet and just disappear into space.  However, others had sworn they had heard things, people even. Or, they had seen lights in the split.  Whatever it was, humans, demons and angels all avoided the split. The human law on either side had even gone as far as too fence the area off but curiosity always got to them, especially the humans.  Now, we would delve deeper into the side where the demons roamed. Or more specifically, where the Knights of Hell roamed.
