CHAPTER  1 Special Management Committee meeting, 2 pm. CatStark skyscraper. CATSTARK International, a leading perfumery and ladies' personal apparel brand manufacturer and distributor worldwide. Owned and operated by the Stark family, a multi-billion dollar business empire.  A tall man entered the room. He has a signature style--he looked no one but himself. His presence was enough to silence the entire room. People were unable to fathom what was different about him. Could it be his particular style of clothing, his oozing manly scent, his hairstyle, or his hard to describe appearance? Whatever it was, as soon as the man entered any room, people focused on him without the need to say a word. His name, Anon Damascus Stark. He has an overwhelming air of mystery around him. People could see him in elite events, but no one knew who he was. “I want this face,” his deep smoky voice reverberated in a very silent room.  He threw a magazine he acquired some years ago in the conference table. “That face will appear in every billboard in major cities across the country and around the world. Find me that woman as soon as possible,” was his firm order to the startled people inside the room. Ada lowered her head, hoping he wouldn’t look in her direction. She was confident he wouldn’t recognize her, but just the same, every fiber of her body trembled, and her face turned scarlet all over. Ada couldn’t help feeling this way whenever Anon was around. All the more today, his petrifying words conveyed his overwhelming desire to find the lady he was looking for. “Where will we find her boss? That magazine was issued four years ago. No more projects for the lady since that magazine was released,” argued Silver, one of his loyal special assistants. “A mystery, right? Why would she disappear just like that? I would like you to shake the whole advertising industry. I don’t care how much money you spend, but I want that face and body representing our new product the soonest time possible," Anon ordered firmly. Oh, god, oh god! Ada whispered. “Ms. Greyback!” Anon barked straight at Ada. Adalfa "Ada" Greyback, 23 years old, was part of his special team for two years. She displayed a stoic personality, calm most of the time, almost without emotion, but constantly quiver when her boss Anon was around.  Anon very seldom came to the office. He has an entire team to manage the daily course of his mega-billion operations, but when he was inside the building, all his employees were like ants in an underground kingdom splashed with cold water.  Ada held her breath, waiting for his following words. She felt the fires of hell scourging the side of her face facing him, and she almost fainted at the sound of his deep smoky voice calling her name. Ada knew that her boss has the temper of a ruthless alpha male, and god forbid if they couldn't give him what he wanted, their livelihood would be placed on the line. “S-sir!” She replied nervously, a tremble in her voice. “Where’s my coffee?” Anon tilted his head; his vision narrowed to a pinprick. He wondered why his assistant secretary was so nervous all of a sudden, and her red face always bothered him. “I-I will go and get it, sir!” Ada released the heavy air from her lungs. A trembling hand clutched the front of her white shirt to steady her quivering nerves.  "I don't have the entire day, Ms. Greyback!" Anon couldn't read her thoughts. "Yes, Sir!" Ada stood up and made her way to the door in a hurry to escape his penetrating gaze. Relief registered on Ada's face as soon as she turned her back and headed towards the door. Ada thought Anon had discovered her secret. She did not know what could happen to her when he found out the truth about her. When she closed the door, she pressed her back against the closed door. She knew her boss by now. He wouldn’t stop unless he got what he wanted. She was too worried that he would discover her secret.  Ada liked her job, it paid well, and she had come to know him for the last two years that she had been with the company. While he roared like a beast but he never hurt anyone. He had always been fair to his employees. She was safe under his turf. Anon was known as sybarite dating models, and elite women left and right, sometimes simultaneously. Still, there was not a single employee rumored to have a sensual involvement with him in business. Although, there were rumors, circulating in their office chatroom that many had tried, and their fate was either fired immediately or reassigned to a business branch away from the country. Ada couldn't fault his employees, he was after all a very handsome man. “Ada!” Estan, their head designer, called on her as he stepped near her.  Ada snapped out of trance when she heard his breathy voice. Estan was late for the meeting, but he was once of the boss's favorite. “Hi!” Ada composed herself and smiled at him. “Is the wolf roaring again?” The gay head designer muttered in an effeminate tone, and his hand went up to his waist, posing like a model. “Yeah! His fangs are about to come out.” Ada giggled.  “Oh my goodness. What made his fur tinkle?” Estan joked. Just like Ada, he knew of their boss's temper. “He was trying to find a model who is, unfortunately, no longer in business!” Ada disclosed.  “Fvck! Shhh," Estan screeched. "What made him look for a nonexistent model? There are thousands of them he can choose. Damnit!”  “I don’t know. Silver was arguing with him when I left.” Then she remembered why she was out in the first place, “Oh no! His coffee! Talk to you later.” Ada straightened her back and pushed Estan inside the room. She ran as fast as she could to the pantry area. There was coffee inside the conference room, but her boss never drank ordinary brewed coffee. Anon wanted an unadulterated variety, the espresso. Meanwhile, inside the conference room, Silver and Estan argued with Anon. They knew it would be hard to look for the model he was looking for, but Anon emphasized that he was willing to spend whatever was necessary to look for the model. He even promised to reward. Anon was adamant. “What if we can’t find her? What will happen to the launch?” Estan asked worriedly, his eyes sunk into their sockets. “We will use a masked model, temporarily, and then the reveal on the launch,” Anon remarked. Ada opened the door and stepped towards Anon with his coffee. She placed the cup in front of him. Anon did not even look at Ada when she put down the cup of coffee near his hand on the top of the table. Her hand shook when she heard him say. “I won’t stop until we find her.” His smoky voice reflected his steadfast determination. Ada pushed up her glasses, a clear sign she was nervous as hell.  Fvck! She murmured to herself. “I’ll be honest with you, Anon! It’s been four years. I am not confident the lady still looks like that. She might be married with a child or children, shabby, and have aged more than she should be--” Silver explained, but he stopped speaking when he saw Anon's eyes. His fiery stare stopped everyone who wanted to second what Silver had said. Their boss was demanding and overbearing. Nobody could reason with him. Once he set his mind on something, he moved heaven and hell to get whatever he wanted.  In business, Anon Damascus Stark was a ruthless businessman who made his millions for manufacturing a perfume brand loved by women worldwide. He makes millions of dollars daily.  He was extremely handsome with a highly irresistible personality; some even said they seemed like under a powerful spell when he gazed at them. His physical appearance was oozing animalistic appeal. He was a unique, unimaginable, and indescribable entity. To know him was like being led to a world of the unknown.  “I appreciate keeping your mouth shut when you can't say something good!” Anon intimated matter-of-factly... All the people in the conference room looked at each other for a common theme. They were baffled by Anon's determination. Why was he so interested in the woman? The reason was so unfathomable. It was the first time he was adamant over a simple matter --he never meddled with simple business affairs. Anon tapped his long, slender fingers lightly on the top of the hard-wooden conference table. He had no intention of disclosing why he wanted to find the woman with amber eyes. As a matter of fact, he was dazed about why the woman appeared in his dreams several times for the last four years. Aside from the business purposes, he was clueless as to why he couldn't sake off her face and amber eyes from his mind. After a long silence inside the room, “Dismissed.” Anon declared. He stood up and left the room. Ada and his other assistants followed him in a pulse, matching his steps. They were on their way to his office when he suddenly stopped walking. Anon sniffed deeply but unnoticed, and his eyes hardened in concentration, scanning the room behind a solid wall. A small smile arched his lips when he affirmed his suspicion. “Hold my calls for the next hour. I need time alone. Cancel my next meeting. I will call you when I need you.” He ordered in a guttural voice. Anon entered the room alone, leaving his assistants and Ada bewildered, but they did not dare to speak a word.  Once inside his room, Anon immediately pressed the auto-lock of the door. “Show yourself!” He commanded. A soft sound echoed where he saw a form. A lady wearing an all-black outfit with red curly hair showed herself slowly. Her eyes were magnetic, her skin was pale white, and her lips luscious as cherries. She smiled as she strolled, moving her hips temptingly towards Anon.  His amber eyes were smoldering as he scanned her form.  Anon grinned with an inexplicable excitement in his eyes.
