Saved by the stranger

Winter’s P.O.V “Get your hands off of me you perv.” I hissed at my boss, my fists clenching in tight balls at my sides ready to punch him if he tried touching me ass again “Winter you should know by now how things work around here.” He said annoyed “Excuse me? The rest of them are maybe willing to screw you but I sure as heck am not.” I hissed I worked at a high class bar that serves the rich and famous seven nights a week to get by. Some of the guys and girls that work with me cater to some of them in different ways to make some extra cash, I sure as hell don't. My boss has always been a creep. I think nearly all my co-workers have screwed him to get promotions or pay rises...but I am not gonna start being one of them, I have more respect for myself. “Sorry Winter I am gonna have to let you go due to budget cuts.” He said smugly “Budget cuts? Bullshit.” I hissed “you are letting me go cause I won’t screw you, you disgusting man.” I shouted the last part making sure everyone look at us “Keep your voice down you f*****g bitch.” He hissed back at me “No.” I hissed back, turning and walking away As I did I felt everyone stare at me...one guy in particular...one who is here every night with a different girl, some rich music producer of sorts. He is always trying to hit on me, I soon get him told. I am not a piece of meat for men to do as they please to me. “What you looking at you sick f**k?” I hissed at him I see anger take over his face as he jumped to his feet, taking a space in front of me “Who you talking to you silly whore.” He growled “You!” I hissed I was not backing down. I am not scared of him...not scared of any man. He reached in, grabbing my wrists roughly “Do you know who I am? People don't get away with talking to me like that. You ought to be taught a lesson.” He growled ...voice full of anger...eyes full of hate. I am not gonna lie I was getting a little scared now. I heard he isn’t a nice guy and does not give a f**k who he hurts. I froze, not saying a word but never broke eye contact with him, trying to stand my ground. He pulled me into him, his grip tightened on my wrists ...they were that tight it felt like they were burning. Everyone stood by watching...not one person trying to stop him, well so I thought until I seen a large fist connect with his jaw, making him stumble and hit the floor “No one ever told you it is wrong to put your hands on a woman you coward.” I heard a deep male voice hiss from beside me. I looked to see who it was but I never knew him. He has been in here once I think. I felt my heart leap in my chest when his blue eyes met mine...whoa! He was beautiful. “Thank You.” I said giving him a smile “Just doing what is right. You Ok beautiful?” he replied Fine.” I replied Soon enough the prick on the floor, jumped to his feet and getting in the strangers face “Do you know who I am?” he hissed “Yes. Do you know who I am? Maybe you know my father. Dolton Crawford?” the stranger smirked “Oh...shit...sorry.” the cowardly man said like a scared little child “If I ever see you treat any woman like that again I will make sure my father cuts all ties with you and your business” he hissed This talk went back and forth for the next few moments and I took that as my chance to leave before he notices cause I don’t want him thinking I need a hero...that I am some damsel in distress cause I am not. I have been on my own since I was seventeen and I don’t need some rich boy thinking that I need him ...that I need anyone. “Hey wait up?” I heard behind but ignored the voice I rushed to my car. I put my hand on the handle, about to open the door but a hand fell over mine, stopping me. I rolled my eyes, slowly turning around, leaving me face to face with the blue eyed stranger. “Why is such a rush?” he asked softly “Cause I don’t need you thinking I need saving that is why.” I said shaking my head “We all need saving sometime.” He whispered stroking my cheek I sighed under his touch before pulling away from him “Well I don’t OK? Thank You for what you done but I do not need anyone.” I replied “I think that is a lie. You are just scared to need anyone.” He said Who is this dude? What makes him think he knows me? I laughed darkly, shaking my head, climbing into my car and speeding off. I sighed in relief when I pulled up to my apartment, it was nothing special but it was home to me. I climbed out of my car, heading in. I kicked my shoes off, throwing myself down on the sofa, sighing to myself. What the hell was I gonna do without a job? I had some money saved but only enough to get me by for a couple of months, after that is gone I will have nothing. It is hard for me to get a job cause I don’t have much experience in anything, never got a chance to finish high school either so I never really had any qualifications. I had to leave school, leave where I once stayed cause my parents decided I was old enough to live on my own, I was only sixteen at the time. I stayed with friends on and off for a year, after that I was on my own. That is why I had to get a job. I was only seventeen when I started working in bars, used fake ID. I started at the bar I just got fired from when I twenty, had worked there for three years. I hated it…hated the people I worked with…the people I served but it was good money. Now I honestly have no clue what I am gonna do. I will work something out…I will be OK, I always am. I pulled my ass off the sofa, grabbing a quick shower before climbing into bed. I sighed to myself, the blue eyes stranger crossing my mind. Who was he? What was his name? I was asking myself all these questions in my head but there was no way of me finding all these out, better if I forget all about him. I soon found myself drifting off, knowing tomorrow I would need to spend my day trying to find a new job as soon as possible.
