Chapter 1

820 Words
Riding the wave of his mixtape turned album 'If You're Reading This Its Too Late' Drake was on top, literally having the world in the palm of his hand. After ending Coachella with a show-stopping performance that included a surprise appearance from Madonna and the random kiss she forced on him that was seen around the world. It was definitely hot in the 6ix and Drake was more than ready to take over every aspect of life, he'd been taking the serious steps in becoming more than just a rapper. "Aye man, you got everything packed?" Chubbs called out to Drake as he walked a couple of feet behind him down the hall of 'The YOLO Estate'. Drake looked up from his infamous blackberry, oddly refusing to get rid of the once-popular device, he turned on his heels walking backward to look at him. "Haven't even started!" With the ending of Coachella, Drake announced the tour dates for his 'Jungle' tour that would kick off in Houston in May. It was a shorter tour than normal, six shows to be exact. Following Houston would be Detroit, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, and ending in New York. Drake was more than ready to get back on the stage, the road in general, it was kind of like an addiction, once he conquered one stage he found himself wanting another one, his obsession with being on stage showed based on just how much he toured, that constant need for his name to be in rotation. The feeling of seeing an Arena filled to capacity with his biggest fans, rapping and singing every word to every song, was definitely a high within itself, one that was unexplainable, something you had to experience personally in order to understand his addiction. "Bro! What do you mean you haven't started!? We fly out tomorrow!" Chubbs face dawned seriousness, his brows knitted together, his mouth twisted up, he leaned down on the marble island in the middle of the spacious kitchen as Drake made his way to the large see-through refrigerator he slide his blackberry in his black sweat pants pocket before opening its door to grab a bottled water, he twisted the cap off, tilting his head back and downed a good half of the cold water. "I know what I'm doing, I know the schedule. I got this, I'ma do it tonight." He replied back before downing the other half of the water and twisting the cap back on the empty bottle. He leaned over tossing the bottle into the trash then pulled a stool from under the center island, he leaned forward propping his elbows on the cold marble. "Oliver was right. You need a personal assistant to handle all that s**t. At least they'll get it done 24hours before it's supposed to get done." Chubbs replied. His serious tone matched the serious look on his face. Drake's thick eyebrows shot up, he immediately shook his head. "I don't need a personal assistant, I don't need to add any outside people to handle anything personal. I got y'all to remember the s**t I forget." Drake argued back. He wasn't too keen on outside help other than the men he grew up and struggled with, if you weren't there helping push the OVO brand in the beginning then you didn't reap the benefits of now. His paranoia in not knowing who was there to tear him down or build him up had forced his circled to be extremely small. It seemed like Judas made his rounds more than once. "I don't know who 'y'all' is cause I'm security, I don't pack s**t but my shit." Drake smirked. "I got Ryan." Chubbs gave a smirk back at Drake and tilted his hand to the side "Ryan not personally assisting NOBODY but naked women." Drake looked up at the ceiling he rubbed the 5 o'clock shadow that was beginning to look more like 7 o'clock. He pressed his lips together nodding in agreement."Yeah, you got a point... what about OB!?" Chubbs let out a hefty laugh he shook his head while leaning forward against the counter, his head hung low, Drake frowned at him not knowing what was so funny. Chubbs gained his composure. "OB pees off balconies and wakes up at 2 in the afternoon! I once saw that man drink Ever Clear out of a sippy cup bro!" Drake's face went from a frown to confusion. He thought for a moment. "... Where'd he get a sippy cup from?" Chubbs shook his head, he stood up straight and smoothed down his crisp fitted white t-shirt, a gold loose fitting chain laid right under the collar, a gold signature OVO Owl encrusted in diamonds hanging from it. He Backed away from the counter, he pointed to him "You need a personal assistant bro." Chubbs turned around and walked back down the long low lit hall to his room.
