"Mackenzie!", I wasn't sure if I heard wrong or not, but it felt like a distant voice was calling me. The sound was subtle and could be compared to a sound of a pin falling on the hardwood floor. "Mackenzie! Wake up!" With a voice, this time came a shaking feeling. Was it an earthquake or... "Mackenzie! For God's sake wake up!" My eyes shut open and I was welcomed with a sight of a face. At first, things were blur. But then when everything starts to become clear, I jump up. "J-Jessica? You, a-" my voice was shaky yet loud. I was so shocked to see her as if I've found a treasure. "Mackenzie? Why are you here? Did he, did he lock you up here too?" Her voice was filled with concern and I was also able to see the anxiety in her eyes. Everything seemed to be like a dream. And when I got the urge to pinch myself, I chose to spoke up. "L-lock up? What do you mean?" I was way too confused to deal with the dizziness in my head. As if I was knocked up for a long time. Then I gave a quick glance around the room, which made me more confused and quite...surprised I guess. "Yeah. Locked up. In this dungeon." Jessica spat with disgust as if the room here which is called our prison is literally a filthy old place. Rather it could be compared to a seven star luxurious hotel suite. It was big - no - large. A big white closet against the wall at left and a king sized bed at middle. There were two doors also. And I suppose one of them is the bathroom's and the other one must be used to get out - which is hundred percent sure locked. "Wait," I mumble to myself. "Wait, wait, wait - he locked you up in here for the past six months! Here's where you've been while everyone was thinking you were missing?!" "Yes." I didn't know if she was in an urge to cry, but maybe yes. "He made me a captive in this room. Forced me to wear these clothes. Like I'm his doll." She sobbed. "I don't know what he wants. But let me tell you, he is a freaking psychopath!" I swapped my eyes down to her dress, a white gown with the most elegant design I've ever seen. Must be costly. "Did he - um, did he you know-" I start talking when I see a scar on her left arm. "Did he physically torture you, I mean.." "Rape me?" She said the words which were stuck in my throat. "No, he didn't even touch me." "Well, it's good then," I stutter, examining the room. "Cause last time I was kidnapped, nothing good like this happened to me." "It's good?" Jessica's voice was a bit louder now. "You don't know Mackenzie, this guy, he - he has a total package of psychotic problems! What he did to me was worse than raping!" "Easy, easy, relax. Look we're gonna find a way to get out." I try to calm her down. "How?!" She snapped. "The walls and door are freaking electrical! There's even no window!" "Well, try the underground?" I look down to the white marble tiled floor. "We are underground Mackenzie! We're sitting underneath the ground. There's no way to escape." She continues and my jaw slightly drops. "I've tried for six months, Mackenzie." When I understood she was in an urge to cry, I was about to try to console her. Until a computerized voice stops me. 'Please check the closet. Please check the closet. Please check the-' While the voice was continuing to talk, I confusingly asked, "What the hell is that?" "A way of him giving me messages." She sobbed and anger towards that two faced monster was shaded on her face. Jessica stands up while I find out the source of the voice. There was a microphone on the wall with a device which kind of looked like a camera. "Wait," I stand up too. "He f*****g watches and listens to you too?!" "Yeah and the voice won't stop until I do what he wants me to." She gives a death glare at the camera, which I suppose is being controlled by that bastard. Jessica starts taking steps to the closet and swings it open. When I also peek in, I see a little blue box in the middle. "Didn't you see it before?" I ask confusingly and pick it up. "No, he kept it now." She looks at the closet. "He has his ways." "Wait again!" I snap. "There must be a way through this closet! Or else how does he keep-" while continuing I try to reach my hand into the closet until she grabs my hand. "No! I said the walls are electrical. Means, you can't touch the walls of the closet too." Jessica leaves my hand. I let out a breath and give a glance at the camera. My blood boiling with anger. I wish I could just stick a knife in his ches- "Open it, see what's in there." Jessica calls me out of my thoughts. "No, what if there's a bomb in here?!" I switch my eyesight to her with a warning look. "As far as I know him, it's the last thing he'd do." She stops for a moment and quietly mumbles underneath her breath. "Cause he likes to torture people in a different way. Not by hurting." I think a moment before I open the box. It was a ring, with a diamond in between. The ring was beautiful, but I made sure not to compliment any thing related to that man. "There's a note too..." I mumble as I pick up the small piece of paper from beside the ring. And when I read it, my heart sunk in my chest. "What does it say?" Jessica asked in a concerned voice. I let the saliva down to my throat from my mouth and read out loud, 'Marry me, or she dies.'
