Sometimes the person you'd take the bullet for ends up being the one behind the g*n. ~unknown. ☆☆☆☆☆☆ "What's so special about them?" Zenith mumbles as she plays with her food. "Uhhh... maybe cause they're hot and rich." Victoria mumbles gazing up at them with admiration. Not suprised. "What's with the silence, Will?" I look to my left to see Bonnie giving me a worried look. I just shrug looking down at my tray of food. My friends are the best ,they have been with me through thick and thin. Zenith Stone is the tough one out of the four of us. Even though we're the outcasts of the school and we're bullied, she's always the one to fight back and doesn't take crap from anyone. She has curly long brown hair, bright green eyes that compliment her pale skin. Victoria Gilles is the sweetheart and the girly one in the group, very optimistic even when students at school tease us she always tries to see the good in people. She has light brown hair, light green eyes with specks of brown in them and has tanned skin. The last of my friends is Bonnie Green she is like the mother of the group and always taking care of us. She says she wants to be a nurse after college. She is selfless and thats what I love most about her. She has golden brown locks, hazel eyes, a light dusting of light freckles on her nose and tanned skin. Then there's me, Willow Kennedy, The Basket Case. I was the quiet one, never the one to waste words. That's why people find it amusing to bully me– they know I would never fight back. I have a curly black afro, light brown skin and boring brown eyes. We're all sitting at our usual table in the cafeteria which is next to the bins. There has never been a day where we find the table clean, there are always food stains on it but Bonnie always has wet wipes. See what I meant when I said she's the mother of the group? "Are you still bummed out about what happened?" Bonnie asks with sincerity in her voice, tears are threatening to pour down my face but I refuse to let them fall. Before I can answer I feel an unwelcome presence and I look up to see the Alice, Bianca and Sarah standing by our table. Power and popularity just oozing out of her pores, Alice looks down at me with an evil smirk. "What the hell do you heifers want?!" Zenith snaps true to her tough girl nature. Alice snaps her head to look at Zenith with pure hatred. "Shut up, freak!" Alice claps back, a pretty lame one in my opinion. She turns her head back at me her usual smirk returning to her face. "So... I see your single now" she starts " did you actually think in that tiny brain of yours that Jason would actually go for you?" She shoot but her friends giggling behind her she doesn't stop there. "Oh Jason I love you too" She poorly imitates me, her dumb friends cackle like hyenas behind her at my embarrassed face. "Leave her and us alone." Bonnie snarls giving Alice and her cronies dirty looks. My friends are the best. This is why we were the best of friends since elementary school. "What are you gonna do about it weirdo?!" Alice snaps and to make things worse I see Jason, the star athlete and most popular guy in our school walking towards our table with his g**g. Uh oh. I've m had a crush on Jason since sophmore year, he found out a month ago, soon after he asked me out I was beyond happy. I thought I could finally be normal and have my first boyfriend. Me and my friends never had boyfriends or guys asking us out so I was happy when Jason wanted to go on a date but that crush went out the window when I found out he asked me out with ill intentions. Oh how I hate him. It's 2 week after the incident, it's still the juiciest gossip and the bullying has gotten worse for my and I. I feel terrible for putting them through this, they took the hate and stuck by me. That night when Jason humilated me was the worst day of my life... "Jason!" Alice squeals snapping me out of my daze. She jumps into Jason's arms and her friends followed after her, leaving us which is great. Jason and Alice start to make out in the middle of the cafeteria moving the attention me to them, the "it" couple of Green Valley High. I let out a breath I hadn't realised I was holding in and I look up to see my friends giving me worried looks. "I'm okay guys, I promise." I say placing on a small smile on my face to reassure them that I'm fine even though I'm not. I was an i***t for thinking that someone like Jason White actually liked someone like me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, I can go home! School was a struggle with the work and mean students and I was glad the t*****e was over. I walk out of History class to to my locker to see Victoria standing there. "Sup?" I greet, "Did Zenith and Bonnie already go home?" I ask opening my locker. "Yeah, you need a ride?" Victoria asks with a small smile. "Yeah, I just need to get my math textbook in Mr Daniels class." I respond. "Okay I'll meet you at the car." She says already walking out the school building. I jog down the corridor, my dirty Vans squeaking against the polished school floor. While jogging I look down in my bag to check if I had the house keys since my mom was coming home late from work. While doing that I trip over my shoelace and anticipate my inevitable fall but instead of feeling the hard floor on my body I feel strong arms catch and secure me. I see tattoos littering the strong arms that caught me and look up to see Maddox Knightstorm, the badboy of Green Valley High. His dark green eyes bore into my dark brown ones. "Watch where you are going next time." He growls letting me go and walking down the empty corridor without saying another word to me. I was shocked seeing as Maddox never spoke to anyone freely to anyone other than his friends at school. I know you're thinking; Willow you are over exaggerating, but I'm not, thats just the way he has been for as long as I've known him. He's an interesting character that no one could figure him out. Him and his friends, everyone gave up trying to be friends with them. Maddox and his friends also happen to be the biggest d***s of them all so no one bothers to talk to them. That was a very intresting incident. Oh shoot my textbook. ▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪
