The Back Story

1062 Words
Kamila and Claudette Odette are twin sisters of the Red Moon Pack. Their father John, and mother Ann are the alpha and Luna of the pack. Their parents are extremely strict on the girls, no sleepovers, no grades below a B, and absolutely no dating. The girls are expected to go to school and come home right after so they can start training or working in the kitchen or helping with packhouse work like cleaning, washing clothes. Kamila and Claudette alternate each day on who will train and who will work. John and Ann made this decision the day they turned 13. They were no longer allowed to do things the other teenage girls their age were doing, like going shopping, dating, hanging out with friends, etc. The reasoning behind their decision was because they do not have a son, and without a son to take on the alpha role one day, they needed to be able to keep their selves safe and learn to become a Luna one day. Normally, the pack woman is not allowed to train with the worriers, but with a little persuasion from Ann and a lot of begging from Claudette, they have been granted permission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N: Hello Everyone, I wanted to thank all my readers for giving my books a chance and adding them to your library! This is my first book, which will have betrayal, violence, and erotic content (Mature Audience only). I hope everyone enjoys reading Going Against the Alpha. Love H.M.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kamila's POV Ding! Finally, school is officially over! I think to myself as I rush to the car to make sure Claudette does not leave me again because I am taking too long. Yesterday she left me because I was chit-chatting with some friends, and she did not want to be in trouble for not doing as we are told, which is coming straight home after school. Bless it! I am here before her for once. I need to watch out for pigs flying, I laugh to myself, but I turn around and see her putting her stuff in the trunk. Oh my gosh, Claudette you will never believe who asked me out. “What are you talking about Kamila, you know we are not allowed to date,” said Claudette. Which just busted my bubble, “Can’t you just be excited for me for like 5 minutes or at least pretend to be.” Claudette gives me a look that has are you serious written all over it and then a fake smile and says, “are you happy now.” No, I’m not. I wish my sister would be just a little more excited for me, and you don’t even know who it is yet. Kamila, unless it is the king of the world, our father will not let you date him, so why do you even do this to yourself?  Claudette, why do you always have to follow the rules? Let me dream about Dylan West for a while; then I’ll turn him down … UGHHHH… I’m just so annoyed it is not fair that we are not allowed to date or even have male friends. Thankfully we turn 18 soon, so we can do whatever we want then. Again, Kamila, for the 1,000 time, just because we turn 18 and graduate school does not mean that we are free. I wish it were like that, but since we are the alpha’s daughters, we do not get that privilege. Kamila, do you not think that I would like to be able to get to go out on a date, go to a movie with friends, or make my own decisions or have a carefree day just once? But we cannot, and it would be so much easier on both of us if you would only accept that. Jez, okay, Claudette no need to get on your soapbox. I get it. Can we just go now, please?  The ride home was super tense I could tell Claudette was now in her head. This made me feel worse for bringing it up, but she never breaks the rules and never wants to even daydream or even joke about breaking the rules like we did when we were younger. I just do not understand when she became such a goody to shoes.    The car comes to an abrupt stop as I look up to see she parked as close as she could to the garage wall, so I cannot get out of the car on my side. Real funny Claudette, I guess I’ll just have to… she slammed the car door shut before I could even finish my sentence. WTF is her deal today. After climbing over the seats, I manage to get out of the car to go after her to give her a piece of my mind. I look in her room, but she isn’t there, so I start to search the entire house but can’t seem to find her anywhere. What did she do just magically disappear?  UGHH, fine, whatever, I guess I’ll just get ready and go to training. I change out of my school clothes into my cute little workout outfit. Today I decided to go with black workout pants, a pink sports bar, and my long blonde hair up in a high ponytail. As I’m looking in the mirror checking myself out, I see a sticky note stuck right in the middle of it. I snatch it off and roll my eyes and give myself one more glance, and out the door, I run. I’m cutting it close to being late, and I just don’t need my parents on my case today.  As soon as I walk in, I see Claudette there. She is wearing my favorite blue workout pants, a black sports bra, and has her long dark brown hair pulled up in a messy bun. Seeing her here throws me for a loop because it is my day to train. Once Claudette sees me, she walks over and says, “What are you doing here? I left you a note. Did you not read the sticky note that I put on the mirror?”
