Chapter 1

"No! No! No!" Carol stands up, stomps her foot and throws her stuffie at us. Ana looks flummoxed. Grey and I look at each other. We were expecting this. I sigh. We had discussed every single detail earlier. "Carol, if you calm down and think about it, you'll understand maybe it's not that bad an idea," Grey states calmly. I roll my eyes at this and Grey nudges me with my elbow, reminding me to keep my attitude in check. But come on, Carol and calm? I mentally laugh my ass off but stop when I see Grey glaring at me. "Why do you have to spoil everything now, when everything is going so perfectly well?! Why?" She screams as angry tears start rolling off her cheeks. My heart hurts seeing my baby cry. Thank God we are done with the dinner and the bath already. There is no way Carol would have not thrown a tantrum at doing both of those things right now. I quickly pick her up and place her on my lap. "We won't be doing it unless we are all on board with this. All four of us." I tell her calmly while Christian plays with her hair. "What do you think about this, Ana? Would you like an addition to our family? Would you like a brother to play with?" I ask her and she looks at Carol and then shrugs. No way she is agreeing to this if Carol is this unhappy about the idea. "I will kick him out of our crib, I swear!" Carol chimes and I see Grey trying to suppress a laugh. I glare at both of them. "Carol, behave. We are only talking about it right now, as a family should before taking all the big decisions. Don't make me punish you." I tell her. She gives us a rebellious look. That's the problem with Carol, she is really headstrong. She won't listen to anything right now. "Okay! Looks like we are done here, for now, time for bed!" I stand up with Carol in my arms and my husband picks Ana up and we go to tuck the girls in for the night.
