"So, you are not a Princess." The park bench was cold and Ryan was freezing but he kept his back straight as he stared at his brown haired companion. "I am a Princess as much as you are a business man." Ryan was positive that she was pulling his leg. The smirk on her face grew as he glared at her in irritation. Not only did she get them kicked out of the restaurant, she was also being an absolute annoyance. "You are a con artist." He concluded, pursing his lips. The only light was coming from the street lamps and the park was deserted with the exception of both of them. "So are you." She tilted her head and smiled. Her brown hair was still piled on top of her head in an intricate up-do and the shimmery material of her gown looked dull due to the lack of light. The girl, Cierra Anthony, was an enigma. She seemed unaffected by his charms and efforts to sweep her off her feet. Of course, he was no longer wasting his energy trying to impress her given that he had found out that she was a con artist just like him. It must have been fate-or really bad luck-that bought the two con artists together to try to cheat each other out of money they did not possess. She hummed. "It must be fate." Ryan jerked from his thoughts and eyed her warily. He wouldn't put it past her to be a mind-reader. Her smile grew wider at his expression. "What-" He started, but was quickly interrupted. "Let's team up." She offered. He blinked. "What?" She smiled sweetly. "Two heads are always better than one. You may be good at charming the ladies but you need someone to research their background first." Her hands were folded across her lap and she talked like they were discussing the weather. Running a hand through his dark hair, he allowed his grey eyed gaze to rest on her. "Why would I want to team up with you?" "I am cute and you are handsome and we could earn more money if we worked together. I also think we would make a great team." She sounded like she was stating facts. He thought about it. He had to admit that having an accomplice would be useful in the long run. It was even better that it was someone who he was sure wouldn't be attracted to him even if they lived together. No matter how much it hurt his pride. Extending his hand towards her, he grinned. "I accept." "Let's do our best shall we?" She proposed with a matching grin on her face as she shook his hand. It was the start of a utterly devious and mutually beneficial partnership.
