Belle had been exiting Books a million when she felt the eyes on her. She had two overlarge bags stuffed to the brim with the latest romance, thrillers, and mystery novels. She looked around as she approached her white mustang but saw no one. She bit her full bottom lip worried as she got into her car she named Philippe and quickly drove home. When she arrived she could tell her father was home from the smoke coming out of the house. Running in quickly she observed her high father passed out on the couch and ran to see had left a pot on. Again. Quickly throwing it in the sink, Belle turned water on the burnt instant noodles in the pot. Opening windows, the scent and smoke left the house slowly and as she began to clean up yet again another one of her father's messes she groaned when she heard him lumbering to her. Turning she looked at the old man and said, "Papa you left another pot on!" Maurice ducked his head and sheepishly said, "Sorry darling, I had gotten caught up in the tv." Belle wanted to call bullshit since she had already seen the needle in his arm but kept quite When her father came towards her more she stiffened and watched him shuffle his nervous beady eyes around before asking, "You got any money Bells? I got to go and handle something." Belle sighed and let out a deep breath, she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a twenty to her father. Maurice greedily snatched it from her and ran out the house without another word to his daughter. Belle looked behind him knowing he was going to go and find more drugs to shoot into his veins and didn't bother to stop him. If her father wanted to squander his life away with drugs she couldn't stop him. She had tried once and all she got was a bunch of crocodile tears about how he needed it to function without her mother. Belle didn't see why Maurice missed the vapid and shallow b***h that had moved on without a backwards glance. She had destroyed their family when she packed her s**t one night and claimed she was moving on to bigger and better. So the once upon a time great inventor took a backward spiral as his wife was seen with a multi billionaire in every tabloid. Angry Belle cleaned up the discarded mess her father made in the living room and left the pot to soak in hot dish water. Grabbing her books out of her car, Belle settled in her room with the one she had been the most eager to read. Across town, a high Maurice was thrown out another bar and stumped through Transylvania with blurry eyes. He stumbled through the dark alleys and back streets hoping he'd get home quicker but ended up getting lost. He found himself on a dark, twisted path leading to what seem to be a broken castle. He sighed and leaned against the fence and tried to call Belle. She'd come and pick him up and help him get sorted. But as Maurice called and called, Belle's attention was focused purely on the book in front of her. As she soaked in a hot bubble bath with the book planted right in front of her face and her phone on her bed in another, Belle didn't hear a thing. Maurice grew frustrated and cursed, as he thought he'd have to stumble through out the night trying to get home, the gate suddenly gave under his weight and he was on the ground. It took a moment for Maurice to get his barrings but when he did he stood and looked in both directions. He could go back the way he came and try and get home. Or he could go to the castle and see if anyone would let him in for the night. Maurice shuffled towards the castle and as he approached he jumped afraid when he heard wolves howling. Moving faster on his stubby legs the fat, balding man quickly knocked on the door. As the door slowly creaked open, Maurice started to thank whoever opened it but no one was there. Confused and a little baffled Maurice walked into the house and looked around in awe. The outside of the place did the home no justice. The inside was huge, the dark marble floors shiny and pristine. Maurice's greedy eyes feasted on the silver, one of a kind oil paintings, and expensive vases. As he lurked into the parlor he saw a nice warming fire and slouched to it. Flinging himself down in the large chair he let the fire warm him as he kept trying to reach his daughter. Belle was still unaware of her father's calling as she made herself dinner and sat down with her book. Maurice groaned in annoyance and as he started to drift asleep in front of the fire, it suddenly went out and a loud roar filled the room. Maurice shot up to run but he was knocked over and when he looked to see what had done so he screamed as he saw the monsters face looking down at him. The Beast snarled at the waste of human flesh in front of him and smelt the fear radiating from his ever pore. "Human waste." He huffed in a deadly growl. Maurice panted as he said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude, I came only to seek shelter when I got lost." The Beast growled as he sniffled the neck of the fat man in front of him and growled as his senses went into high alert. He could smell the drugs littering the man's veins and roared in his face as the smell bothered him to the point of anger. Maurice shook and cried like a baby as he predicted his death swift and brutal. It wasn't until his phone rang that the monster on top of him was distracted. The Beast picked up the phone in his large hand and looked at it confused. When he flipped it over on to it's screen he licked his lips hungrily as he looked at the beautiful brunette calling. Watching his attacker look at his daughter's picture caused Maurice to scramble to save himself. "My daughter, Belle. She lives here...in Transylvania." The Beast growled at Maurice's annoying voice and pounced on him and punched the floor next to his head. The stone marble cracked before repairing itself. Maurice watched confused as the monster stalked off on it's hind legs and started to get up but when he heard a warning, "Don't!" He laid back still and waited. The Beast found one of his most loyal servants, Lumiere, and showed him the missed call from the female he had saw. Lumiere looked at it and when he looked into his master's eyes he saw exactly what he wanted. Her. "Of course master, I'll make that happened. And her father?" The Beast threw his head back in a disgusted motion like the idea of Maurice was too much. Lumiere nodded and soon had dragged the fat man out of the castle and thrown him in the back of the van. As he drove fast and reckless through the town's back streets and used the human's memories to find the house. When he pulled up with a screech he grabbed his kit and the drug abuser from the back of the van. After carelessly throwing Maurice like he was nothing, he walked into the young females room and drugged her before she could wake. As Belle was unaware in her current state she was drugged, bound, and kidnapped, her father sat tying a strap around his arm and slid a needle in as Lumiere carried her out into the cold night air.
