Prologue

323 Words
I'm really not sure how I got myself into this mess. I didn't even believe in gods and goddesses before I moved here. Yet, here I am; standing in the middle of a Colosseum being prepared for the battle of my life. Literally. This is a battle to death.  I'm not sure if I have it in me to kill someone. Though I clearly am going to have to get over it because I'm not about to die. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope that instinct will kick in and save my a*s. I've had one day of training with a sword. ONE FLIPPIN' DAY! Somehow, that's supposed to be enough training to keep me from getting my head chopped off. This is all Sol's fault! If he would've kept his dxxk in his pants, I wouldn't be here right now. But oh, no! The mighty sun God had to go and sleep with- not only a ton of women, but a handful of men to! Which is the reason I'm here. One guy got hooked on Sol's 'love’ and refused to let him go without a fight. According to ancient Greek tradition, the two parties must fight to the death to determine who is worthy of Sol's love. Pretty stupid if you ask me, obviously I wasn’t asked or I wouldn’t be in this situation right now. Honestly, I’m not sure why I’m here proving myself. I don't even think I love Sol, yet here I am.  Normally, I would've shot this idiocy down immediately, but he called me a chicken and started clucking. I'm a very stubborn girl, and I never back down from a challenge. His mockery made me instantly agree.  Stupid pride.  It'll be the death of me, ironically. BONG! There goes the starting bell. May as well get this over with, one way or the other.
