Meet and Greet Event

"Say hello to our new CEO, Ms. Jaimie Wilson!" 

The announcement made everyone clap their hands and give the young CEO a round of applause. She's young to be in that position since she only looks like she's just in her 30s. But they don't have any say in it. After all, she's the owner's only daughter of the former CEO, Mr. Jacob Wilson. 

In the corporate world, everything is unfair and it's all about connections if you want to step up. It's best if you're an heiress of a multi-million company. But compared to Cassie, she's just a regular employee of this real estate company who needs to work hard to reach the top.

Cassie is a real estate agent which makes her to always work out in the field to assist the trippings for the potential homebuyers. But today, they were all required to attend this meeting to introduce the new CEO. Everyone was informed to look their best since the new lady boss will meet them.

Cassie has a pretty face and trimmed body which makes her look good in whatever she wears. Some people even commented that she will still be beautiful even if she's wearing a sack of flour. That makes her question if they find her pretty or want her to look bad. 

She also happens to have an average height. Her 5'6" frame is just right since she from Asian descendant. Her brown eyes made her more beautiful and she always has a lot of admirers wherever she goes. Her wits and charm made her become the top agent ever since she started as a real estate agent.

People are drawn to her and most of the time, they buy anything that she offers. She's great in sales but some co-workers said that it's only because she's pretty. But for her, it's just a small percentage of her success. She always works hard and even joked that she's married to her job as she flipped her dark brown long hair.

She always thinks that no matter how pretty or smart you are, you can only be successful in either your career or relationship. Cassie gave up on the relationship part. It's hard to find a serious guy who can see her for her and not just for her beauty. Most of the guys she dated treated her like a trophy and she got tired of all that.

"Cassie, our new CEO is perfect! I mean, look at her!" Nicky whispered to her.

Nicky is one of her friends from the Wilson Empire Real Estate. She's a petite and beautiful girl with a great smile and cute dimples. She always tries to rank good-looking and successful guys to be her next boyfriend. But Cassie seems to no longer feel attracted to those types of guys anymore. 

"True. She has it all! A pretty face and a lot of money! I hope she also has the brains to match up those qualities." She commented but can't take her eyes off the new CEO.

Nicky is a real matchmaker and she's very successful in doing it to everyone they know. Except for her, since she's not even interested to date anyone at this point. But Nicky still never gives up. It's been a long time since she went on a date and she's serious about finding her perfect match. 

"Yeah, I wonder if she got her father's brains? But I hope she's not as strict as him!" Nicky said in a hopeful voice.

Jaimie Wilson looks very gorgeous even in her corporate attire. Her father is one fine gentleman and you can still see how handsome he was when he was younger. That will guarantee that his daughter will also look great when she reaches old age like her father. Her mother still looks very young than her age.

Sure, she's a beautiful woman who can surely get whatever she wants. Women are no exception from her charms. But something's off with their new CEO even if she looks perfect. Cassie can't point it out but it's something that she needs to avoid at all costs.

"Stop staring at her too much, Nicky! She's going around the tables now." She suggested.

The company hosted dinner for this event. They all gave them a day off to get ready to meet their new boss. The event is held in one of Wilson's hotel restaurants. It's an elegant dinner and wine is also being served as they are all waiting for food. 

"This is Nicky and Cassie! Our consistent top agents!" 

OMG, she's already here! Cassie seems to also get excited about this meet and greet dinner. The new CEO is taking time to meet everyone and there are no exemptions. She now feels embarrassed to meet the new CEO because she looks more beautiful up close. Her short raven black hair makes her eyes more mesmerizing. Cassie stops herself from admiring her too much.

"Glad to meet you! I think I can learn a lot from you!" She greeted them both with a smile and shook their hands. 

"I'm looking forward to working with you, ma'am!" Nicky offered in an enthusiastic tone. 

Cassie panicked all of a sudden. She seems not to know how to respond anymore. Her presence overwhelms her and she can't understand why. But come to think of it, she also felt the same way when the former CEO approached her before. All she can do is smile at the former CEO same as what she's doing right now with his heiress.

"Thank you, ladies! If you'll excuse me, I will need to meet with the others. See you around!" She said and moved on to the next table.

Cassie can't still stir the odd feeling from meeting the new CEO. She's always been like that and she hasn't solved the mystery when the old Mr. Wilson met her from the past. Now that his daughter is in charge, she feels that awkwardness again. She has forgotten about feeling that way. But now, the young CEO reminded her how the Wilson's can affect her.

"What's wrong with you? It's your chance to get noticed and you just smiled!" Nicky exclaimed with a tone of disappointment in her voice.

"I guess I'm just not good with meeting CEOs!" She replied. 

"You meet a lot of different people every day Cassie! How come the Wilson's can make you shut up instantly?" Nicky asked.

Nicky also knows how she felt meeting the former CEO. But now that the successor is here, she also feels the same. She was able to greet the old Mr. Wilson before. But his daughter only allowed her to smile. It's a weird feeling but it's close to her being timid all of a sudden. Plus, did her heart seem to skip when their hands touched?

It's very unusual because she's one of the best salespeople around. Which means she's very sociable and confident. She knows that she has the world in her palm. But whenever any of the Wilson's comes close to her, she becomes a totally different person all of a sudden.

"Maybe it's the fact that they're billionaires!" She exclaimed.

Nicky looked at her cold in the eyes. "We meet a lot of billionaires Cassie! They are our goldmines, remember?" She reminded her.

She remembered the seminar that they both attended before. The speaker said to look at the rich people as their goldmines. All they have to do is to reach through them and go for their gold. From that day on, they never felt inferior anymore. That made them the top agents of this company. 

"Whatever! It's not like we're going to meet her anymore after this!" She exclaimed.

Thinking that it's just a one-time event makes her come back to her senses. She only met the former CEO once in her five years of working in this company. Now that he's retired and his daughter took over this part of their empire, she will be busy to even bump into each other. After all, she's working in the field and the CEO will be in her office.

The new CEO is now standing in front of them. She's done with the meet and greet and would like to say a few words to the employees. It's basically the usual talk that they had from the past from her father. Although it looks like she has new ideas for the company. 

She told them that she studied abroad and shared what she had learned from there. But interestingly, she wants to be more familiar with how real estate works in the Philippines. She wants to experience being a real estate agent for a month to make her more effective with her role. 

"I will handpick an agent so that I can observe how the sales process goes. Don't worry, you will be compensated for all your efforts. Let's make the Wilson Empire the number one real estate company in the country!" She announced in a confident tone.

Her announcement made Cassie nervous. She's the top agent and Nicky is the second in line which makes them be easily picked by the new lady CEO and she's not ready for this. How can she work if she can't even talk in her presence? 

"Without further ado, I want to tell everyone that I have already chosen an agent to guide me along the way. Let's give it up for Ms. Cassandra Cruz!" 

Cassie almost falls from her seat hearing her full name announced. She's the chosen one and it means that she will have to work with the new CEO for a month! When the spotlight is focused on her, all she can do is give everyone a wave and a plastered smile.
