I exhaled and sit again, I don’t know if how long or how many times I’d been doing that. But its really frustrating me waiting here, more than that its so hot. I was waiting for more than hour already, but the person who’s going to pick me up, is still not here. “Damn it! Why is it so hot?” I removed the scarf and jacket I am wearing to lessen the heat. I’m not inform that people in the Philippines is lack of efficiency, its already an hour but his still not here. God, why do I have to be here! Oh, have you forgotten already that you’re here because its your punishment? I rolled my eyes in annoyance now that I remember how they dragged me, just to get my ass on the pane. “Excuse me, Miss… can you please stay still? You’re fidgeting and its disturbing us.” “Oh, am i? I am sorry. Maybe you can moved to the side bench, so you could sit peacefully.” I scowled at the lady beside me. Where did he go? I already waited for my brother too long and he still hasn’t show up. I don’t have a phone to call my brother or even my parents, who actually throw me here. Argh, I really hate this place! “Excuse me, Miss?” I turn around to see the old lady poking me. “Yes, grandma?” I asked the old lady while fanning my hands on my neck. “Are you feeling hot? Cause your clothes were actually not appropriate for a lady like you. You should wear cloth that can cover or hide your body, not the other way around. You look like a slut, walking around here. Can you dress properly? It would be a very big help.” The old lady said before walking away. I can’t even say a word coz I was taken aback by her bluntness. I immediately look at myself, but I really do look fine. I'm wearing Loubotin ankle boots and a lace sleeveless crop top. Actually I was in the mall when Mum drag me to the car and throw me my luggage. I don’t have time to get changed, cause she already pushing me to the car and drive to the airport. Thankfully I found this oversized jacket as a cover up. Coz I might die in coldness where I get here. I look like a cat that has been abandoned by my parents, its as if I’m not their daughter. I don’t have a choice but to wear again my sweater, coz people kept on looking at me. “Where the hell my brother go? Is he something important to kept me here waiting? God, I wanted to go home. I don’t even have a phone to call my brother. Argh! I really hate them.” I can’t help but stomped my feet on the floor in annoyance, while waiting for my driver. “Excuse me? Fabania Puertonillo?” I scowled to the guy in front of me. I looked at the man in front of me from head to toe, coz I don’t know him. “Sorry, Diego Magtanggol, I am the one who’s picking you up—” “Oh my god! Do you know what time is it? I’ve been waiting you here for ages. Seb, will gonna hear about this, how can you keep your job if you’re incompetent.” I hissed walking out from him. I murmured while walking my way out to the airport, thinking that he’s been listening. But to my dismay his not, instead his standing where I left him. I don’t have a choice but to come back, he reason out that his been waiting for my order that’s why his not moving. Oh, for heaven’s sake! “Where did my brother hired you? Your not fit for you job. What?” I scowled at him when I caught the man name Diego staring at me. “Can you make it faster? Its just two luggage’s, but you moved so slow. You, already came here late, and now you are moving like a turtle.” I almost jumped on shock, when he put down my luggage loudly. “W—what do you think you’re doing?” “First, Sorry it's traffic, cause on my way here I was caught up on the fire near the airport. All the vehicle can’t pass through. Second, I’m not your driver or even a employee of your brother. Third, can you please stop talking? Cause my patience getting thinner and thinner… I might plaster your mouth. I think you did understand what I said? Coz your brother told me you can speak and understand Tagalog well.” I gulped and nod when he step forward when I thought his walking towards me. “Now, that’s my jeep. Get your ass up their before I lost my patience on you and left you here.” Without a word I walked hurriedly to the car his pointing. I looked around for the car he told me, but it looked like no other jeep around here other than the car in front of me. I hesitated to ride first, but when he open the back door of the jeep it confirms that its his. I can’t complain about how awful the jeep looks like. I feel like in one blow this whole jeep will collapsed. I wanted to complain, but when I saw Diego opening the driver seat. I suppress my complains and just watch him quietly. “You can sleep, if you wanted to sleep. Its still traffic because of the fire we might take long.” Diego stated before he start the car. But after Diego started the engine my tummy growls. “You haven’t eaten yet?” I nod. “I forgot, you don’t have money. Okay, let’s eat first.” I bit my lower lip on what he said. I feel pity about myself right now.  No money, no home, no family, and now even my ego has been shattered into pieces because of him. My jaw literally fall when Diego stop in front of a fast-food. He really ordered a take out of burger and some fries. Goodbye keto diet. I thought were having a stop over in a restaurant or something, my expectation doesn’t meet my reality. I don’t eat carbs! “Is there a problem? Wont you eat?” I gulped while looking at the food in front of me. I feel like the burger and fries will gonna eat me alive. “I don’t eat at fast-food. Can’t we take out from the resto?” He smirked and whispered. “What a brat!” I pouted on what he said. “Then don’t eat it. Just put it back on the paper bag, I’ll just bring it to the shop, my people surely hungry.” When he said that I blocked his hand before he grab the burger. I don’t have a choice, I cant be picky right now, so I need to eat this. I don’t have anything or anyone on me now. I heard him tsked when I started eating the burger. I think I lost my composure while eating, because of hunger. I didn’t know that food from fast food were taste this good. The last time I eat at McDonalds were when I was in high school. God, it taste like heaven. I woke up when I bumped my head on the window. Reckless driver! “Yeah! Were two blocks away from the shop. Just keep on entertaining them, so they won’t get bored. Okay, have you finish what I told you, before I left? Okay. Thanks!” I heard him talking to the phone. “You're awake. Let's go to my house first! I have important thing to do first. Tomorrow we're going to your brother’s house. I've talked to your older brother. People here are kind, so don’t make them worry about you and please don't leave the house, your not familiar around here." He informed me. When he said he talked to my brother, I feel at eased. But when he stop the car in front of a Auto Repair shop with a Car washed beside it, I don’t want to go out. I wanted to grab my phone and call my parents to take me back. But sad to say I don’t have a phone and they don’t want me back. When the car stopped, he immediately went down without even realizing that he has a company. He approached two women who was seemed to be very happy to see him. Inwardly I rolled my eyes on him. I wonder why his such in a hurry just to greet that women. “Ma’am you can could get off the car ” I was startled when someone open the door beside me. “Who are you?” I scowled, while checking up on him. He scratch the back of his head and smiled. “Teo, I’m Diego’s assistant. I’ll just get your things.” He said and left to get my luggage. Why do people here look snob and shy at the same time? I looked around the shop. There’s so many kind of car, some of them were broken and I think some were already fixed. I lean on one of the car near me, coz I feel like my feet is swollen. Where does that grumpy man go? I think he already forgot about me. “Oh, f**k! f**k!” I jumped in surprised when someone grabbed my feet. Shocked and scared I run away from the car. “Ms. Abba, what happen? ” Teary-eyed i hugged myself and pointed on the man coming out of the car. “Oh, I’m sorry. Its Bert one of our mechanic. Bert you scared our visitor.” He said. Bert apologizes on what happen. Bert didn’t see me cause it's so dark under the car. Second’s past and I saw Diego walking to us. Look’s like he heard me scared, I thought he already left. Diego just asked Teo, on what happened and never even bother to ask if i'm okay or not. “I see. I'm leaving so take charged here. I also have a meeting, so I’ll just drop by on the supplier for the stocks we need on the other shop.” Diego said and rush to his jeep. I pouted when Diego passed by me, he doesn’t even bother to know if i'm okay or not. He doesn’t even help me first to settle my things. How rude! I thought Pilipino were hospitable, then why that asshole treat me like a nuisance. He make me feel unwelcome. So what are you implying? You need his attention? Tsk! No, why would I? Its just he doesn’t even bother to asked me. After Diego left, Teo approached me and take me to the third floor of the house. Their were in the middle of the two shops, were Diego’s working. Its were they lived and some of his acquaintance stayed. Teo brought my luggage with the help of Bert. The place were so nice up here, it has a view of the city, I think it would be best at night. The place were near the park and I guess the big houses not far away from here were a subdivision. “Ms. Puertonillo, this is your room. There’s a washroom inside too, so you don’t need to go down. The second floor is our room, you can knock if you need help or something. Then the kitchen would be on the ground were we get in.” While his talking, I can’t help but to look around. The room were not big as I had on the states. It just big as my bathroom, and the room were so plain, as if the one who’s using it, were just like a sleep and go person. I think I am not going to stay here for too long. In short the room were so boring for me to stay. What a brat! You’ll stay here for a night, so put up with it. If Diego brimmed with your finicky attitude, I bet you’ll spend a night on the street. “Thank you, Teo.” I called Teo again before he closed the door. “Ahh.. w—what time does your boss going back?” “Ah, I don’t know, but maybe he’ll be late. He has so many important things to do today.” I look at the paper bag Teo gave me. “Sir, Diego told me to gave you this, wear it coz you might be uncomfortable wearing it.” Teo said before he left me. After Teo, left the room, I laid down the bed. I wanted to rest but after changing positions, I still can’t sleep. I saw the paper bag Teo, gave me. I got curious on it so I got up the bed and checked it. I saw a pair of Adidas white rubber shoes and a pair of slippers. Im amazed when it fits on me, cause I never told him about my shoe size. I feel comfortable when I wear the slippers, I hesitated to wear it first but my feet is aching. Nagpasya muna akong bumaba at dahil nakakainip ang wala kang cellphone at wala kang pera. Kung nasa states ako baka kanina pa ako nasa mall o kaya’y nasa bar. Pagbaba ko sa second floor ay walang tao doon, ganoon din sa kusina. Mukhang sobrang busy ng mga tao dito kahit alas kuwatro na ng hapon hindi pa rin sila tapos magtrabaho. “Excuse me, do you have phone here?” tawag ko doon sa isang dumaan sa harap ko. “f**k! What an idiot!” I face palmed, in so much disappointment to myself. I tried to walk around and check the street were I think I walk down. But I really can’t remember where is the way to Diego’s house. I tried another street if its right, but again I end up in the middle of the park. Now my legs starting to get numb. I don’t have a choice to sit on the gutter of the road to lessen the pain. I massage it a little bit, maybe it can help to lessen the numbness. I already take each road three times but end up still here on the park. “f**k! I wanna go home.” I hugged my legs and I bowed my head on my knee. I’m so helpless. My parents throw me away, I don’t have phone, money. I cant reached my brother who supposed to be taking care of me. And now the only place I have now is nowhere to be found. I can’t help but to cry, and sobbed while sitting on the side of the road, hugging my legs. “You’re really so stubborn!” I looked up and found him standing in front of me. “D—Diego…” “I told you, don’t leave the house, but you still did. Your making my people worried about you, you are our responsibility, Ms. Puertonillo. I case you don’t know that. Me and my people were not a people like you. Were busy, we need to work our ass off the food we eat. Money doesn’t fall from the trees, Ms. Puertonillo, so stop being a nuisance to other people. You’re so hardheaded that’s why your parent throw you here.” Diego angrily lashed out on me.  I close my hands into a fist, he doesn’t even know me. When I wanted to give up, but seeing him standing in front of me where like a hope for me. But every words that’s coming out from his mouth were like a dagger that keep on stabbing me. He doesn’t know me… he doesn’t know what I’ve been through, but he judge me easily. I hate him. I hate him for judging me! I hate you, Diego Magtanggol.”
