A Little Prank

It was a spacious and beautifully decorated living room. A large relaxable black leather couch sat in the center, a 55 inch LED covered its front wall and a large glass window ran from the ceiling to the floor. It opened up to an elegant view of the gardens outside whenever the curtains were open. Opposite the glass wall was the kitchen which enclosed a large dining table in the middle of it. The walls of the living room were blushed with pure white color beautifully contrasted with black curtains falling from that window. The room looked classy at its best. Two girls in their early twenties with gorgeous looks and a bright charm on their faces were sitting on the couch facing each other, lost in their own thoughts. The room was devoid of noise, yet filled with tired vibes coming from those two. "I'm getting bored of this f****d up daily college life," one of the girls deadpanned, rolling her eyes at the other girl. "What should we do?" She had a slender waist which trapped a tiny pear shaped figure. Her long neck was encased by smooth black hair that ended just at her elbows. Thin lips on fair and bright skin, big brownish-black eyes. To top it all off, a crystal nose pin glistened on her nose. Not getting any response from the other party, she got up annoyed and towered over her, "Dear, are you listening to me? I'm talking to you," she cried in an irritated tone. When the other girl still didn't reply, she calmed herself down and asked again in a softer, feathery voice,"Kayara...what are you thinking? What aren't you telling me?" "Of course, I'll tell you everything," Kayara finally spoke, "Only if you sit quietly for two minutes and let me think properly." Seeing the disturbed expression on her friend's face Kayara added, "Don't worry. I was thinking about something interesting to entertain our boring life," A mischievous smile flashed on her face. Kayara was a 21 year old sensitive girl with a picture perfect personality. She was gifted with bewitching looks and a flawless hourglass figure. A pair of dark eyebrows arched over her sweeping long eyelashes. It was a pleasure to see the curls of her moon shadow black hair cascade down her shoulders. Her enchanting black eyes twinkled like stars and cupid bow lips curved up in a very beautiful heart pouring smile. "Wow! Then tell me what it is! I'm very excited now…please tell me fast," she screamed, jumping in joy and excitement, because she knew the girl in front of her was the queen of entertainment. Kayara could make a crybaby the happiest one on the planet in just a minute. Almost like magic. "Anna," she chuckled, "Anna stop jumping like that otherwise I will not tell you anything." Retreating back like a cat, Anna sat back on the couch quietly. She placed her forefinger on her lips, "Okay I'm not jumping, now tell me." Kayara showed Anna just her pinky finger, "First promise me that you won't tell Sophie anything about this plan." "I'll not need to. You can't hide anything from her either." Anna giggled and accepted her pinky finger anyway. "Okay. Pinky promise. I won't tell her a thing." "Okay good." Kayara shifted in her place and after a short pause she started, "Usually, it's Sophie and I who always pull pranks on others, right?" Anna nodded like a rattle drum, agreeing with Kayara. Sophie and Kayara were the best pranksters on campus. "Let's do something different and more entertaining this time." "I don't get what you are saying." Anna c****d her head, looking at Kayara with a questioning gaze. "A little prank on Sophie this time. What do you think?" Kayara smiled playfully and got a ready high five from her friend in agreement. A pair of giggles echoed in that sophisticated room, replacing boredom with bubbling excitement. ..... At 9:00 PM, Kayara and Anna were in the kitchen busy making dinner. "Where's that girl? It is already late twilight, she should be at home by this time." Anna thought out loud while setting the oven temperature. The three lived together in this small house in the city, which belonged to one of Kayara's relatives. They chose this house because it was very comfortable and spacious enough for three people. It had a large living room, an open kitchen and three rooms cornered in a line attached to each other. Before Kayara could respond, the door swung open and footsteps neared them, "Hey guys, what's up? What's going on?" The girl casually asked, entering the kitchen and stuffing a cookie in her mouth. "Sophie, where were you hanging out at this hour of night, huh?" Kayara asked, folding her arms around her chest. "I was not hanging out anywhere, the cab got stuck in traffic," Sophie explained with a disappointed face and puppy eyes. She, like the other two, was also a very charming and elegant girl in her early twenties. Her eyes were brown with long eyelashes and a round face sat on her small neck. She could be concluded as a stunning and attractive girl at just a single glance. "Okay, don't try to be the innocent one here. Go and take a shower. After that we'll have dinner together," Kayara ordered like the mom she was. "You can have dinner first, there is no need to wait for me," Sophie said instead. "No, we have something to tell you!" Anna butted in, "Now go and take a shower first," Anna pushed the confused girl out of the kitchen. ... After sometime, the three friends settled themselves around the dining table. Scanning the table, Sophie licked her lips, "Is there any special occasion? Why does this dinner look so delicious?" she raised her eyebrow, "And everything here are my favorites? Kayara, you cooked these dishes specially for me?" "Yeah," Kayara smiled. Sophie had a lot of favorite dishes. But they were even tastier to her when made by Kayara. She admired not only her dishes, but also Kayara. The bond that connected these two was not like that of just friends more like sisters. The three had started living in this house for two years and this was the third and final year before they finally graduated. At times, Anna lived with her cousins who were also in the same city. On those days, it was just Sophie and Kayara. This might have been the reason behind the strong emotional attachment within each other. "Thank you, darling. I love you," Sophie grinned and started building mountains of food on her plate eagerly. The other two picked up their forks and started their dinner happily. "Umm...Anna, what was the thing you wanted to tell me earlier?" Sophie asked with her stuffed mouth. Anna choked on her food slightly and looked up at Sophie, "I..um…I wanted to tell you…" "C'mon, say it. What is it?" Sophie beckoned, growing impatient. "Ask her!" Anna diverted instead, losing herself, "She'll explain it to you better than me." Sophie knotted her eyebrows and turned towards the other girl, "Kayara?" She had stopped chewing now, waiting for her answer. "It's nothing," Kayara started, trying to act casual. "It was just that you got a proposal from a guy. But he is not in our college. Maybe he's new here and very naïve. Perhaps he still doesn't know anything about you. Otherwise he wouldn't have wanted to propose to you. And he also titled you as his future wife." Kayara said it all out in a single breath, nervously trying to hide her prankish smile. Sophie's demeanor darkened. Kayara looked down and started to dig into her food again, pretending to ignore the sudden cold vibes coming from the other side.
