Fear of the Unknown

308 Words
It’s too dark, why the Hell  I have been wandering in the forest at this time. I think to myself.  Well too obvious, my step-sister, lost her little pony toy yesterday during our picnic and she won’t sleep without it. "That little brat always tries to get me in trouble", I am muttering to myself. My thoughts are interrupted by the faint sound of footsteps or are they something else. Slowly I turn around, but all I could see is only the long tress and sound of leaves, jostling on this windy night. I look up in the sky, it’s definitely going to rain, Damm, I curse to myself. Maybe I should come tomorrow morning, she might already be sleeping for, as far as I know, I turn around to walk back to our cottage. Huh Cottage, we live in a big bungalow, in the posh area, which is definitely not near any forest. Then where am I? I am stopped in my steps when I hear a strange sound. It is howling, loud howling, I turn everywhere to see where is it coming from.  My footsteps are now jogged, I am slowly running towards my house.  “Luna” I heard someone scream, "Run".  Now I am full fledge running and panting, Looking back, Looking everywhere.  I could only see trees and grasses, in front of me. How far have I come? I could hear that someone is following me. More than one person.  I look back again, but this time I suddenly trip. The pain in my leg is too strong, I want to scream, but I cover my mouth with my hand, fearing the unknown. Fearing that someone might hear me.  I am in great pain, pulling my foot up, seeing the injury, there is little blood. I am too absorbed in my pain that I don’t notice the forest has gone completely silent.  I raise my head up. And there it is.
