Chapter 1: His An Asshole

Phia’s Pov

“I have to go.” I said while waving to my co-worker Wendy and my Bestfriend Zhai. I’m a working student and a part time receptionist in a famous Hotel and Restaurant which is Zhai Rupert Alleje is the owner.

“Take care Phia, and please call me immediately if something bad happens.” He said, I’m already used to it, he’s very sweet, kind and gentleman, annoying sometimes but I love Zhai, very much, he is more like a brother to me. Zhai and I are very close. As in super duper close. We’ve been friends for 5 years, I met him in Highschool, he transferred in my school. And that’s it! Long story! I met him in highschool and we became friends. He was in a higher year, I was in third year highschool and he was in fourth year.

When I was out at work, I decided to walk until I get to the terminal, I have to save money so I can use it in some other things that is more important, and Its fine with me its not that far 15mins walk is really fine with me.

I’m Sophia Romualdez a graduating student in a prestigious University. How did I get to this school? I’m not rich, I don’t have a gucci sunglasses nor branded bags like LV, Michael Kors , KateSpade, an ATM card with thousands on it, a lot of friends? Nah! I have few, and I keep them, I am nobody in this school, an ordinary girl who enters and exit, but for me It doesn’t matter, what really matters for me is to maintain my grades and to finish my college. So I can get a proper job to help my mother. I’m a scholar student in this University.

I keep humming while walking down this street, keep thinking my mother who’s alone right now. I’m worried about her. I’ll take a look at her before I go to school.

Broooooooooom!!

Until something happened.

“Aaaaahhh!!!” Something really bad! I suddenly closed my eyes when I felt something throwned in my face and a dripping water all over my body I was about to shout when I saw a Ducati in front of me and a guy who is now taking off his black helmet. “How dare you!” I pointed him!

He didn’t say anything, he’s just staring at me without any guilt in his eyes, he tried to laugh but I glared at him so he stopped. “I didn’t saw you.” He said while scanning my….my OMG! Is he staring at my chest.

“ Are you a pervert!? Why you’re looking at me like that!? Stop staring at me I will sue you for reckless driving and for your pervert behavior!” Instead of saying sorry or bothered in what I have said, he just chuckled. My Geez! He’s annoying! How can I go to school with this filthy uniform.

“W-wait Miss. Me? Pervert? I can also sue you for your big false accusations.” He scanned my body and take a step closer to me, he bend his body to level his face to mine. His face is really close to me. I don’t understand but my chest suddenly felt heavy. “You’re not my type.” He whispered.

I can feel his breath against my face. I took all my strength to push him away, he just smirked in what I did. “Anyway. I have to go, but If you want to ride with me…” I cut him off.

“Wow! What made you think that I’ll go with you ha?” This guy is getting in my nerves.

“Woohh. It’s kinda rude young lady.” He’s really annoying and arrogant how can he managed to smile in after what he did.

“Are you always like that? At least don’t you know how to say sorry?” I frowned while saying it to him. “Look at me, how can I go to school with this filthy uniform? How can I laundry it?”

“I can help you with that.” I suddenly flinched when he leaned down towards me.

“W-what are you doing!?” Cant help but to higher my voice with this bastard. He’s very close to me. What he is thinking? I pushed him away and slap him when he tried to close his face to me.

He was surprised in what I did. He look at me while cupping his face. You deserve it, you bastard. My Geez he’s presence is enough to ruin my day, how he act and how he communicate, he will get to your nerves and will reach your boiling point.

Is it really hard to say sorry? But this rude and ill-mannered guy reach my boiling point. Instead of saying sorry, he suddenly grabbed my arms very tight. He’s staring at me.

He looks scary! “W-what are you doing? Please let go of me.” I said trying to ignore the fear inside my chest. He didn’t react or say anything. I pissed him off after I hit his face.

Is there anyone here!? Is there anyone passing through in this street? All I can feel is I’m scared, I’m really scared I cant think straight. I have to call Zhai! Yea right I have to call him I was about to push him away again and again but he’s too strong! He was about to kiss me. Yes he’s trying to kiss me so I took all my strength to kick his balls.

“Uhh.” He painfully twisted his legs while holding his balls. He’s really in pain. I grabbed that chance to run away from him.

“You pervert!” I shouted while running away from him. “You deserve it.” I’m already late to my class, because of him I have to go straight in school. Because if not I’m going to be late. I call my friends to ask them an extra uniform because I cant attend my class like this.

“You should pray when we meet again, you will pay for this.!” It constantly playing on my mind. I still remember his face how he got angry.

“Hey you okay?” I was a bit shocked when someone tapped me in my shoulder. It’s Rina and Nikka. These two are my closest best friends.

We don’t have a class to attend so we decided to have a snack here in Cafeteria. I’m a bit disappointed cause I was in a rush to get here on time, for nothing.

“Yea, I’m okay.” I replied. I keep thinking that guy. He’s really annoying!

“Don’t bother yourself thinking that arrogant guy, there’s no way in hell you’ll meet him again.” Nikka said while putting down her tray of food in our table. They bought a food for us.

“Much better, I don’t want to see him again.” I replied. They just laugh at me. I frowned, I don’t know what’s funny. “What’s funny?” I asked. They keep on laughing I don’t know what they laugh about.

“Is this guy is handsome?” Rina asked. My subconscious starting to play over again. I remember when he take off slowly his helmet how he shake his head, how he smiled at me, how he leaned down towards me, how he talk, how he blink his eyes, how he move his lips when he talks, and that stare.

“Phia!” And then someone snapped her fingers, I saw Rina and Nikka with their questionable look. “You okay?” They are smiling. I know that look. A malicious one.

“Nope.” I reacted indisposed. I took my chicken sandwich and have a quick bite. I didn’t look at them again, I know they will tease me for nothing.

“If you say so.” Rina shrugged while Nikka still looking at me with her malicious glance.

When I get home, I took out my shoes heading to my Mom’s room. I saw her in her bed sleeping. I wiped out my tears when I felt my eyes watering I don’t want to see her like this. She need to rest till she get better. I love my Mom so much.

In this world I only have her, my father left us when my mother got pregnant. Its really painful to have someone you thought would be with you forever, but unfortunately he doesn’t have a one word, all of it was just a lie. I know its wrong to have grudges in my heart towards him. But my Mom provide me. She took care of me and thank God because we still surviving from all the struggles life has throwing to us. I grew up without a father. Its really hard to have a broken family. Sometimes I feel incomplete. But my mom did everything to provide me, to feel me better. She did everything to make me happy, she stands for me being a mother and a father.

“Mom.” I smiled at her when she woke up. I sat beside her and kissed her in her forehead. “Do I bother your sleep?” She leaned in and shook her head.

“Of course not. How was your day?” She asked.

“It’s fine.” She frowned her eyebrows.

“Did something happen?” I shook my head, she knows me very well. Much better if she doesn’t know about that arrogant guy. I don’t want her to worry. In fact it’s nothing, it just happened nothing to bring it back and to talk about. Its nonsense.

“No ma. Everything’s fine.” I replied. “You have nothing to worry about. Anyway Ma, Did you take your med?” She nodded.

“Yes, don’t worry too much about me okay? Live your life, I know my responsibilities I don’t want you to worry. I’m fine. Go ahead its getting late, get up and take a rest.” I smiled at her and kissed her in her forehead before I go to my room.

When I woke up from my alarming alarm clock. I squeezes my eyes. I’m still tired. I wanna go back to sleep. Okay 5 more minutes. But 5 minutes feels like a 5 seconds of my life. I feel indisposed. But I have to get up and start my another day with good vibes and positivity.

I headed in the kitchen and saw a two loaf bread. I prepared it for my Mom so she can have it later as her breakfast I prepared also a scrambled egg with tomato and a fried rice for her. It would be much better if she could have it later.

I can take care of myself even without having a breakfast, I saw the cabinet out of stock. I felt something heavy in my chest, knowing how hard to live like this. But I’m not complaining, I’m contented in my life cause I know how to appreciate things.

When I arrive to school I saw Nikka and Rina waving at me. We attended our major subject for 3hours and now I feel sick. My head is spinning.

“Are you okay Phia?” Nikka keep on asking me that. But I always replied. I’m okay.

“You sure Phia? You look pale.” Rina said with her worried tone. These two are being repetitive. But I can feel that anytime I can lose my consciousness.

“Have you eaten?” Rina asked. I shook my head.

“Phia!” Nikka called my name I know what does that mean. "Let’s go you have to eat. We know how tired you are, but you also have to take care of yourself. If Zhai only knew this, he will get mad at you, and you will get scolded by him.”

“I know! I know!” I tiredly replied, I don’t want any argument. I feel ashamed, it seems like I always make them worried about me.

When we get in cafeteria, they made me sit to order our food, they left me here alone. I get my phone to play my favorite app when someone talk.

“Aha! So same school?” I suddenly got my head up and surprised to this man standing in front of my table. He laid his hands over my table and glared at me.

“W-what are you doing here!?” I asked him in surprised.

“Like what I have said. You will pay for what you did.” I frowned at him. Where did he get his guts to say that to me. After all, it’s his fault. He ruined my day, my uniform, and unfortunately he didn’t even apologize. He tried to kiss me, what is he expect? I will let him to do that? Of course not.

“As I remember, you owe me an apology.” He just smirked. Is he serious?

“Apology? After you hit me in my…my…” He can’t say it obviously. “Anyway.. I will forget what happened.. If you…”

“What!? Are you crazy!? You know what? Leave me alone. I don’t wanna waste my time talking to you. And to be honest you should be the one, apologizing here. So much pride ha? It’s your fault anyway.” I sarcastically said, this guy has no conscience.

“So you are blaming me now?” He angrily said.

“Yes! So leave!” I said with an authority.

He is really pissed off, I saw his jaw clenching. He’s really intimidating and a top of it a big jerk.

“Ahm excuse me?” Nikka and Rina came back with our tray of food. They were shock because of this jerk.

“That’s our seat.” Rina said while putting down our food.

He step backward to make my friends sit. “What!?” I lifted my right eyebrow saying what are you still doing here. Can you just leave.

Instead of stepping back. He leaned down on my table making his face super close to mine. That made my friends surprise.

“What if I stay here?” He gave me a sweet a smile. My geez what is he doing? Is he teasing me?

“W-what are you d-doing?” Why in this world I’m stuttering, our faces are really close 3inches away I think to be exact. He just switched his mood into this kind of mood. “Do you really want me to slap you again?”

“Do it then.” He sweetly replied.

“I said leave!” Emphasizing those words and trying to compose myself.

“Excuse me? Why are you talking like that to our friend? Can you just leave us alone so we can eat, my friend is not feeling well.” He face my friend Nikka with his glare.

“In one condition.” He said while facing back at me with his smirk.

“I will leave you three, If you will allow me to kiss you?” Saying while looking straight to my eyes and my lips. I felt my heavy chest again and something circulating inside my tummy. My geez! This jerk really such a pain in the ass!!
