Prologue

I saw her entire with another needle. Another test. I just wanted to die. I only wanted to die. I could hear the screams of the others begging for death too. I knew better. They would never let us die. She stepped closer, telling me to trust her. I didn’t trust anyone. She took another step as I could feel my muscles tensing, changing. I heard the growl and before I could stop it, I was out of the chains on all fours. I was a wolf! I snarled as she took yet another step towards me. Something in me told me I could trust her, but she had been helping him. She didn’t want me to trust her. She wanted to hurt me more. She stopped moving and dropped the syringe. She held her hands up to show me that she wasn’t going to hurt me again. I bared my teeth at her, she would never let me go. I heard the door open, and he came in. He threw her against the floor, demanding she leave and never come back. She told him she wanted it all to end. He told her it would never end, not until he could do what he did to me to all the other wolves. She begged, only angering him more. He shifted and attacked. I watched as he mauled her, my wolf whimpering as my world went black.
