Chapter 1: Reincarnation

They continued to run fast despite the heavy rain and angry sky that was accompanied by a sharp and deafening thunder and a blinding lightning.  "My two brothers, why are we running?" Ethan Saunders asked while shifting his sight from his eldest brother, Logan to his second brother Brayden. He was at the center of them, hauled by them on each of his arms. He didn't look like running anymore, he was slightly floating. Only his toes were touching the ground.  "Don't ask a lot of questions. Just keep running or else, we are going to die." Logan said firmly. Ignoring the crystal drops of rain water that burst into his angelic face. "But Brother Logan, the rain is irritating my eyes. I can't even wipe the water endlessly coming in." "Can you stop complaining? What do you care more about? Your eyes having a temporal irritation or our lives? Besides, you are not running at all. We are the one who does the work. We are lifting you while running, if you don't realise." "Our dear little brother, did you forget what we once told you? Our parents had a lot of business enemies, and they were trying to kill us now to rob our properties. So, don't ask anymore. The less you know something, the more you are safe. Understand?" Brayden bluffed while gripping Ethan's arm more tightly. What properties could there be for them to rob? Brayden was just a mere model while Logan was a doctor. If there was a property to call, it was the only antique mansion and a five hectares farm land. Aside from it, they had an unmentionable heritage that their parents wished not to dig out. But, Logan and Brayden didn't manage to escape from it. Intentional or unintentional, the two brothers would do anything for Ethan not to inherit such heritage. Because it was dangerous.   "Oh, okay. I understand. But-- can you see where we are heading? Our way is damn too dark." "Just trust that to us." Logan replied.  Until,,, they reached at the end of a cliff and nowhere else to run. "Didn't you say we can't stop running because enemies are chasing to kill us? Why did the two of you stop?" Ethan mumbled as he moved his arm forward and wiped his eyes by it. After wiping, he felt a lot better. "Little Brother, there is a high cliff ahead." Brayden scratched his head. "We can't escape anymore." "Huh, then, are we going to die now?" Fear appeared in Ethan's eyes. His voice was shaking.  "We won't!" Logan said in a more powerful tone. He glanced at Ethan and gave him a small plain smile that was too rare to be seen. "We will assure you that." Brayden groped Logan. "Big Brother, they are already here." "Who? Where? Why can't I see anything but you two do?" Ethan's voice has a hint of confusion.  "Be careful." Logan said, ignoring Ethan's question. "Don't ever let go of Ethan's arm." "Yes, Big Brother. Even if you don't remind me. I definitely won't." The enemies that the two Saunders Brothers were talking about were monsters. Under the darkness, monsters were running in a crawling and jumping like manner all around. Their every jump caused the land shook.  Ethan was startled. "What is going on? Is there an earthquake?" The two didn't respond but they were instinctively alert because monsters were already getting closer to them. Aside from the horrible weather, the place was filled with a creepy beast howl. For normal people, it was enough for them to pass out in fear just hearing it.  Not long after, those who were chasing them succeeded to surround them. Their freakish beast-like appearance returned to their gorgeous look. Uncontrollably moving like a newly transformed zombie, Lucian Robert, spun his neck around with a loud cracking sound and glared his red eyes at the Saunders Brothers. He ordered his people to catch the three in a creepy voice. "Get them and bring them back to the Dark Compound." Logan and Brayden was determined to keep their brother Ethan safe. That was their parents last wish before they die and they oath to fulfill it even they had to exchange their lives for him. "Brother Brayden, why are they look so weird? They look like monsters. Their eyes are red like blood and they are drooling a sticky saliva looking on us. What really are they?" Ethan asked again. Despite the darkness, Ethan could see their faces and movements a little because of the sparkling lights coming from their eyes. Lucian chortled loudly. "Young man, you called us monsters. Then how about yourself? Your brothers?"  "What do you mean?" Ethan wondered.  Logan spoke, "Ignore him. He likes to lie." "Yes, Brother Logan." Brayden looked down to Ethan and showed his most tender smile ever. Allowing his two deep dimples to show off. Despite the darkness, except Ethan, everyone's vision were clearer than a magnifying glass.  "Are you afraid now?" Brayden traced his warm loving palm on Ethan's head.  Ethan shook his head. "I am not. I am not afraid of anything because I have Brother Logan and you on my side." "Then-- are you willing to dash on danger with us just for once?" Ethan nodded. "Yes, Brother Brayden. I am a big man now. I have to be strong too. Don't always treat me like a 5 year old child." Lucian seemed to see through the brother's plan. So he quickly ordered his men by yelling like a howl of a fox, "Get them now! Make sure to snatch the youngest one." Lucian men moved like a wind and immediately charged to grab the three brothers, especially aiming to clutch Ethan's collar.  Lucian also made a move, he stuck his tongue out and it stretched long like a rubber, crawling on air straight towards Ethan but went in vain as the two brothers brought out a knife and immediately slashed the tip of his tongue.  Lucian cried crazily.  Afterwards, as Lucian men were approaching them, Logan and Brayden from both sides of Ethan, interlocked their arms and hugged Ethan sternly inside it. Then they jumped on the cliff. Meanwhile, In the parallel world in a much similar weather and time in completely different years, Ethan Saunders was struggling to ride in his car. The rain water was dripping on his car window like a hammer. It was very dark and so he was unable to see his way clearly.  He had just left the arena where he won as a champion of a prestigious martial art competition and he was too tired already yet he had to fight again with the rain. His arms and hands were chilling and began to stiff because of the odd cold of the weather like he was in a freezer. His car was zigzagging around as he reached the bridge. Under the bridge was a vast depth of water that was playing along with the mad weather. The wide river was raging and its waves were getting bigger like a real sea waves. For sure, the one who would unluckily fall in that water could not survive.  Right as the front wheels of his car reached at the middle of the bridge, the fierce lightning drew on the Sky and a speedy shining object flew down towards Ethan's car direction.  Ethan was unaware of it until the said flying foreign object crashed on his car and shook them into a signal number 7 earthquake. Ethan swayed himself back and forth to the windows of his car, causing it to break along with the break down of the bridge.  The bridge broke into two halves and the car with a seriously injured Ethan inside fell down straight on the hungry waiting river.  Ethan could only scream as his car and himself were drowned under the water but then again swallowed by a strong force, which was commonly called the electromagnetic force.  As Ethan woke up in the morning, he was already in a different place. Sleeping in a grunting bamboo bed under the nipa hut. He tried to move but bloody hell, his entire body ached so much especially his right arm and legs. He thought it was because of the accident he encountered but he was confused where he was.  The place was more like a small village where he could see outside from the small holes on the walls the few kids who looked pheasant on their little torn clothes and was freely playing on the sand with the other kids.  Was he being swept away by the river and luckily got saved by a random person that lived in a riverbank? Was this the tail of the river where he fell? He forced himself to open his mouth and it was cracking a bit, it seemed like his jaw was a bit broken. In much difficulty, he uttered the words, "Anyone here? He-hello?"  Without even a second, two hunk males with a God-like aura and gorgeous faces like a rare masterpiece of figurines that were crafted meticulously entered together, almost squeezing in from the narrow doorway.  Their eyes showed an indescribable joy as they saw him awake. "You're awake." They exclaimed in unison and immediately went over the bed.  Ethan blinked his eyes a couple of times. These two male, he only saw them many times in his dream. The same strange scary dream with them and now he was with them again.  "Am - am I - de-dreaming?" Ethan stuttered with tears unavoidably fell from his shady green eyes.  "This is real. You are not dreaming, our Little Brother." Logan's voice today sounded more like music. Logan was a cold person and he didn't show emotions usually but he was different to Ethan. He would become soft like cotton if it involved his youngest brother. He gently held Ethan's hand and rubbed it inside his palms. "Brother Ethan, you are finally awake." Brayden, who had always set a sexy smile on his lips, sobbed the moment he saw Ethan's eyes open. He went over on the bed too and hit Ethan's tummy softly. "You brat, what took you so long to wake up. You made us worry to death. Do you know that?"  Under the hurt expression, Ethan's furrowed his brows. "Who- are- you two?"  "What?" The two brothers exclaimed simultaneously again in surprise.  "Don't tell me you don't remember us." Brayden asked, pointing at themselves. "Little Brother, this is not funny." Seeing Ethan having no reaction, they were convinced.  Brayden lifted his right foot and laid next to Ethan's side. But Logan snapped it down. "Stay your foot away." Brayden could only glance at Logan. He brought his fingers on his chin and kneaded his imaginary beards. "How about yourself? Don't you remember yourself too?"  "Of course I remember -- who I am. I am Ethan Saunders while you two-- You look familiar but--" Ethan head hurt and his face stiffened, resisting not to cry. In his entire life, he was often injured so pain should be nothing for him but how come now, he was too frail like a powerless lady.  "Brother, what to do? Did Little Brother lose his memory?" Brayden held the shoulders of Logan who was also thinking about the problem. They were wondering why Ethan remembered himself but forgot them.  With a hint of worry, Logan said, "He seems so."
