Prologue

People say that we have to face the karma in this life only, but if it’s true or not that is something which no one is aware of. People around me Call me the impure princess because of my blood. Princess is just a mere word in my life as not even once I was treated in that manner. A maid should be the correct word to describe my position in this kingdom and palace which is ruled by my uncle, King Stephan. Since my childhood, I have silently faced all their abuse and their harsh words about me and my mother. After living my life in this manner for about eighteen years of my life, I thought that nothing could be worse than this until the marriage proposal of the vampire prince came for my cousin, Sophia.  She is the only one who showed me that there are still people who have goodness in them. For the sake of humankind, she decided to sacrifice her happiness, but my question is that why does she need to sacrifice her happiness? The Vampire prince with whom her marriage was fixed is none other than the tyrant of the vampire clan. He is also known as the mad dog of his clan. Mateo Von Valentino is the cold, arrogant and heartless vampire who believes that Vampires should never have any kind of emotions as those are only human things that are not made for them. Everyone wants to sacrifice her as a lamb only to save their necks. I am well aware that this marriage is nothing more than suicide for her. As I have heard many rumours about that tyrant. They keep telling Sophia that this is all for the kingdom and the truce between the two clans. What a load of bullshit. Yes, that’s what I thought the moment they told Sophia about this sham marriage. He is a f*****g Vampire who is going to slit her throat and drink every last drop of her blood. My parents were dead, but hers are only for the namesake. What a nice mother and father they are, right? Well, I am not concerned about anyone here. Not humankind and not the Vampire Clan. All I am worried about is my sister. I won’t disagree that I was jealous of her because she had a complete family unlike mine, but I still remember the day when I arrived at this place. She was the only one who welcomed me with open arms unlike her mother, Queen Emma who only find mistakes in me. My so-called aunt never leaves any chance to insult me and my mother. Sometimes she even thinks that I am an illegitimate daughter of her husband as my birth is still a mystery for them. The day of sending Sophia was coming nearer and nearer and becomes of the sudden pressure she fell ill and became bedridden. Her condition was getting worse day by day and when the king finds no other option, he decided to force me into this marriage. He told me that the Vampire Prince never heard Sophia name or saw her face so, it won’t be difficult to hide the truth from him. I tried to reason them, but all I received was the hard slap from the Queen. This old hag doesn’t like it when I call her aunt and that’s why she warned me to address her as the Queen. They tried every dam method to persuade me for this hoax marriage. They beaten me, threatened me, starved me so that I will stop resisting. When they thought that nothing was working, the king came forward and told me something about my mother’s death.  He said that he will disclose how she died only if I agree to marry the Vampire prince. I don’t know how long this marriage is going to work out as I have heard about how many lovers he already has, but for the sake of Sophia and for the secret of how my mother died, I agreed to them or so they thought. There are still so many things that they don’t know about me. I agreed to them and their conditions. Sophia tried her best to help me out to run even in her condition, but there is a problem and that’s something which is going to be disclosed with time. The day I came face to face with that man in my wedding gown which was feeling more like a shroud to me, I gasped in shock and my face turned pale. When the handsome man gaze fell on me. I got goosebumps all over my body. His gaze was ice-cold and the way he was smirking at me was enough to make me shiver. At that moment, I realised that he knows something about me, but the question is how? The whole place was decorated with flowers and red roses. I stood there with a stunned look when suddenly I heard a seductive voice, “Come to me, my bride.” His tone was more like a command than a request. He thinks that just because he has a handsome appearance, he can achieve anything. Well, what they all are unaware of is that they are just the pieces of my game, but as the time started to pass, I realised that my dear husband is also hiding something from everyone. He was only the piece of my game, but how did he suddenly start to become the missing piece of my heart? No, this can’t happen as this man is still unaware of my reality and that I am the impure princess of the Thera. I am sure that the day he will learn about my identity he will rip me apart and drink every drop of my blood and suck me dry. No, I am not going to become the Vampire prince’s sacrificial mate or that’s what I thought at that time. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Author's Note  I would like to humbly request you all to please add this book to your library and also, please do comment  Thank you for reading :)
