Chapter One

The second she walked into the bar, I could sense her. I didn't know who she was, but I could pick her out of the crowd instantly. My eyes landed on her as she walked over to the bar and ordered herself a drink. Surely she wasn't alone. I couldn't help but let my eyes roll up and down her body as slow as possible. She was hot. Really, Really hot! Either she didn't notice me staring, Or didn't care. Downing the last bit of my drink, I stood and walked over to her. ''Well, Now, There is no way a beautiful girl like yourself is here all alone''. She turned and smiled at me. Wow, She was even more beautiful than I first thought. ''I'm not, I'm here with some friends''. Now that was a small fib, She just arrived and she was alone. ''Well, When I can find them I will be'' She corrected herself. Good Girl. ''Come here often?'' She just let out a loud single laugh and turned her whole body to face me, Resting her arm on the bar. ''Really? Isn't that like the oldest pickup line?'' I shrugged with a grin, Which she returned. ''No, I don't, I've recently moved back here''. ''Back here?'' She nodded. ''Grew up here, Died here, Moved away for a while, Came home''. I loved how casual she was, but something about what she said confused me. ''Grew up and then died?'' ''Didn't we all die before we became what we are''. Damn, She had me there. What a sexy smart mouth she has. With nothing more than another smile at me, She took the drink off the bartender and wandered back into the crowd. Who was she?! I needed to know! I ordered myself another drink and went back to my seat, Now I knew she was here, I didn't want to leave. She was so... intriguing. A few hours had passed and I was still sat in the club, Only moving every now and then to get another drink. The girl from before was still here. Not only could I smell her, But I could also see her. She had planted herself and her friends in a booth directly opposite from me. I wasn't stupid, I knew she did it purposely, And if I wasn't so sure she did, Then the fact that she kept looking at me made it obvious. I played it cool, Sat there, Trying not to look, But, She was so damn beautiful I just couldn't help myself. I looked down at my glass. Empty. Time for a refill. I made my way back to the bar and ordered my usual. When the bartender came to bring me my drink, I leaned over; ''Can you send a round of drinks to that table of girls over there?'' I asked. He turned to look and nodded when he realized which table I was referring too. ''Thanks''. She was looking AGAIN, Giving her a crooked smile, I turned and walked back to my table. I made sure I kept my eyes off her, if she was interested, She would come and thank me for the drinks, If not... I didn't even need to finish my thoughts, Before I could, She and the rest of her group of friends stood, Drinks in hand and made their way over to me, Stopping right in front of me. ''I'm guessing you are the tall, handsome guy who bought us these?'' She asked, Raising her glass. My eyes shot from here, To her five friends standing behind her before they fell back on hers again. ''That's right''. ''Well, Thank you. Do you mind if we join?'' She asked. ''Not at all. Was getting a little lonely anyway''. The evening pretty much went from there, We all sat around talking for a few hours, But then her friends wanted to move to a different bar. Not going to lie, Was a little sad, Chances are I wouldn't see her again. As they all moved to stand up, I noticed Raven, That was her name, Hadn't moved. ''Ray, You coming?'' One of her friends asked, But she just shook her head. ''No, I think I'm going to stay here and talk to Alex for a little while longer'' She told them. They all exchanged a look between them before agreeing and leaving, Leaving the two of us alone. ''So, Would you like another drink?'' She asked. I just smiled and shook my head. I'd lost count how many I've had already. ''No, I really shouldn't''. I thought for a moment... Should I try my luck? The worst that could happen is she says no. What the hell. ''Actually, I think I'm going to call it a night''. I tell her, Standing up, Her eyes follow me as I get to my feet and the disappointment is clear on her face. ''Care to join me?'' I put my hand out for her, I could see she was thinking about it, Just as I opened my mouth to tell her she could say no, She put her hand in mine and got to her feet. ''Why not''. I couldn't help the wide smile that broke out across my face as we walked, hand-in-hand, towards the exit I laid, Staring at the ceiling, With Raven in my arms. Taking a brief look at her, She was fast asleep, With her head resting on my chest. I didn't understand the feelings I was having. I mean, I did understand, But how could I have feelings so soon?! She started stirring and left out a small sigh before peaking up at me with sleepy eyes. ''Hey''. She smiled widely at me, Which I instantly returned. ''Hello to you''. Propping herself up on one arm, Her innocent looking smile, Turned into a grin. ''What?'' ''You know, I don't usually do things like this''. She admitted shyly. ''Oh well, I'm honoured that I'm so special''. ''You should be... You are''. Leaning forward, I placed a small kiss on her forehead and pulled her closer. ''How old are you?'' Her question made me chuckle. ''Now why would an immortal creature such as yourself want to know about age?'' ''I don't know'' Shrugging her shoulders, She started drawing circles on my chest with her finger, Clearly a nervous habit. ''Just curious''. ''I'm nearly 500 Years old''. ''Ewwwww, You're so old!''. My eyes shot down to hers, But I was met with a big cheeky grin, Telling me she was joking. I relaxed a little. ''I'm nearly 100 myself''. ''Only been a vampire for 100 Years? Someone IS so young aren't they''. She giggled. ''No, I haven't been a vampire for 100 years, I'm just nearly 100''. Huh? ''What do you mean?'' Her statement confused me But made me curious at the same time. For some reason, I wanted to know everything about this girl. She intrigued me so much. And that worried me a little... I haven't felt like that in over a century. ''I shouldn't say. Mother and Father say I'm a special secret''. ''Awww, please? I'm good with secrets". I could tell by her silence she was considering it. Should she tell me? Shouldn't she. ''OK Well... I was born here''. I smiled. She already told me that. ''And then I died and became a vampire... Except I didn't die''. '' Then... How?'' ''I was born to become a Vampire''. My eyes widened. Wait, She's a half breed?! ''You're a Half-breed?'' She nodded against my chest. ''My mother was human and fell pregnant by my father, A vampire and they had me''. ''What's your family name?'' Maybe I knew of her family. If like she said, They have lived here for at least a century, Possibly longer if her father was a vampire, I might know who they are. ''Tavish''. She told me casually. I froze. WHAT?! Automatically, I shot up and pushed her away, Maybe a little too harshly. I could tell she felt rejection because she grabbed the bed sheet and pulled it up to her chest, Covering herself. I didn't know what to say... I was speechless. I felt.. Disgust. ''Tavish?'' I asked. Maybe I heard her wrong, But when she nodded, It was obvious I didn't. ''Oh for f**k sake!''. ''W-what?'' I had to turn away from her, Even now, The thought of her being upset wasn't something I wanted, And I certainly couldn't sit there and watch her get more confused and upset. ''Are your parent Rose and Kane?'' 'Yes, Do you know them?'' Her voice was barely audible. ''Is that why you don't like me anymore? Because you know my parents?'' I sighed loudly and slid off the bed, Grabbing my boxers and pulled them on. What the hell am I going to do now!?
