It's not a Fairytale

629 Words
This is the last time she is putting up a fake smile while going to work, Hazel decides as she is getting up from her bed. She ties her hair back in a proper ponytail as it is a mess from tossing and turning in bed. She doesn’t even want to think about the hair fall since it has been a part of her life now.  _Hazel used to have long thick blonde hair back (not like Rapunzel but long) when she used to live in her hometown, where life was really easy and simple, totally stress-free.  Imagine a Disney movie, with the princess living in a fort, having so many servants and maids to take care of her, making breakfast for her, helping her to bath, to get ready, laying down dresses for her to wear, braiding her hair, spraying her hair with flower scents, putting soft fluffy sandals for her to wear, singing songs for her to sleep at night. Okay, it went too far, but it was similar.  Her father was from a known family of Lord, though he has nothing as an Heir. So life was not exactly like a Disney movie but quite similar.  She used to have her own room, bed, wardrobe, balcony (okay that’s really a luxury most people don’t appreciate when they have it).  She has flawless skin (yes like a princess) and has gotten praised for her long hair many times from everyone living around her.  She has always been lean and short, nothing like any other of her family members who were all little bit chubby which includes her father Arthur, her mother Elizabeth and her Grandma (Okay no one calls grandmothers by their names)  She has been smart, not a topper but then again why she needs to study when she has everything. But she used to go to the school daily since she has someone special in her life, her high school sweetheart Liam  It was one of the gatherings for the royal family and members on a bright sunny day in the large Palace (she doesn’t remember the details of whom it belonged to since she was little). All the members were supposed to attend it and so did their families.  Hazel was there in her little pink frock, with her bubbling personality making everyone smile, that is the day a boy she has never noticed in her school approached her like a dare ( she didn’t know at that time) and bend on one knee to ask her out for Lunch.  It was the first time for her when someone has asked her out and so she said yes jumping up and down with excitement.  And thus started her love story with the handsome Liam.  Everything was laid out in her life like a fairy tale movie when one day her parents decided for her to leave her and her grandmother to fend for herself when his father got an amazing opportunity in France.  Her world came crashing to her when they left. She has just turned 18 and wasn’t prepared to face the world yet. She wasn’t that smart, barely passing her exams when she faced the dilemma to beg any other royal family to take them in or to work for herself.  Little did she know that her Father has already squeezed out all the money he could get from the royal families and No family was kind enough to take her in.  Her hometown was small and the chances for her to get a job there were impossible. That’s when she decided that she will work in a nearby town and send money for her grandmother._
