Mirela Adeena Castañanez “HERE she is! Make a way for the famous romance empress!” Cyllene announced while pointing me, outside the famous restaurant in the Mall of Laquiero. My best friends looked at the opening of the restaurant as I walked towards the entrance. They were all sarcastically clapping their hands, causing everyone inside the restaurant to stare at me. I was wearing a white spaghetti straps for my top and a light-blue wide-leg jumpsuit. It matched with my messy-bun hair and black round-toe stiletto heels. “You're Majesty.” They all stood up and made a sarcastic curtsy as they greeted before they all rolled their eyes on me. Gosh! It's been years since I left Laquiero and they were still my same. I was really grateful to have them as my real best friends, kahit na may kaniya-kaniya silang saltik paminsan-minsan. “Kumusta mga aliping saguiguilid?” I introduced, teasing them as I removed my shades then I hung it on the hem of my blouse near on my chest.  They all gave a glance with each other before they grinned. We shared a group hug, making me teary eyed. I am finally home. It was like I got my desired freedom after being locked in the city for a long time, and I could say that I got a peace of mind after all. Zemira, the serious one in our group complained as she showed a savage face. Zemira didn't change at all. Her dark aura is still there, but it seems like she was scarier than before. “Don't mind her, Adi. Naglilihi lang iyan kaya ganiyan,” Masien concluded as she hugged me for the second time, she then pointed the chair for us to sit. She's still my green-minded friend. She's the best in that field. They ignored the waitress as they continued their argument, that's why I was the one who looked on the menu to order our food. I laughed as I was fascinated. However, my eyes wandered when I realized that we're not complete. “Where's Elle?” They stopped chatting as I got their attention. I was still looking around to find Elle, but she wasn't really here. The most pure and the most innocent human being on earth was missing our meeting today. “Hindi ka pa nasanay, palagi namang absent iyon tuwing magkikita tayong magkakaibigan,” Masien told me as she scrubbed her chin. She leaned on her chair and crossed her legs, pretending like a real man, that's the reason why I gazed on her face. Napailing ako at napasimangot. She had a long straight hair before, but she cut it short when she confessed about her sexuality to the world. “How's the romance empress?” Cyllene giggled after she and Zemira stopped on fighting. “I am perfectly fine.” I shrugged while smiling at them. I took that as a compliment and I thanked them for paying attention to the elegance I have. “Puro kaartehan kamo,” Zem contradicted, making me pout. Zem inquired, causing all of them to stare at me, waiting for my answer. I stopped my schooling when I was in third year college because I chose my SECOND love, writing. I saw a little bit of disappointment on their eyes as they knew that they couldn't stop me. I was thinking of something to throw on her when Zemira raised her right hand to get our attention. But then, I realized that they were the only ones whom I could rely on, that's why I smiled on the three of them. I closed my eyes then I let out a deep breath.  “I want a baby,” I announced as I gave them my sweetest smile. “W-what did you say?” they all asked in surprise. Their eyes bugged out as their mouth formed a big circle. “I said, I want a baby.” They all shook their heads in disbelief before they sighed out loud together. I wanted to have a baby, that was my long time dream. I wanted him or her to feel the love I'm willing to give. We all sit in silence as the food I ordered ealier has arrived. It seems like they were all contemplating about me, having a baby. My forehead was sweating as my heart was strongly pounding. I need their help. “What's your plan? Adopting?” Masien finally asked. They all stared at me, waiting for me to spill the tea. “I want my own baby,” I declared as the three of them grasped on air. “We're still young. Mag-isip ka munang mabuti. Ngayon ka pa lang nakalalaya. We should be enjoying our life first. Taste male species as much as you want,” Cyllene advised without censoring her lines, making me blew a huge amount of air. “Buo na ang desiyon ko, bes. I am already twenty-five years old. Kayo? Hindi na tayo bumabata, mga bes,” I hysterically explained while raising one of my eyebrows on her. They all looked at me in full of disbelief. They wrinkled their foreheads before they shared a quick but meaningful stares on each other. “Yes. A twenty-five year old woman, a no boyfriend since birth is planning to have a baby? Are you kidding the hell out of me?!” Zemira's voice echoed inside the restaurant as she violently dropped her spoon and fork on the table, making all the customers glanced on us. “I-I am dead serious, bes. Gusto kong magkaanak. This is what I want to get a peace of mind, so please I need your help,” I explained every little detail for them to understand my perception. My baby and me. “Mahirap iyang gusto mo. You can see through me that your plan on having a baby is diffucult without a father. Kung gusto mong ituloy iyan, marry someone.” Zemira's cold eyes were scanning my face. “You all know that I won't do marriage,” I purposely broke my voice for them to feel awful. Kailangan kong puntiryahin ang kanilang konsensya. “What's really your plan, Adi?” Zemira inquired as she looked at Cyllene and Masien who were seriously thinking while chewing their foods. “I am planning to have a sperm donor and I hope you'll help me find one.” I declared, making them spit out the food in their mouths then they cursed me to hell.
