Hell

"s**t!" A loud bang made every moving staff on the floor to halt their actions. After a brief pause, they continued their work. The busy atmosphere was as usual. But the air was chillier this morning, the dark aura was radiating from the room in the corner. Everyone was holding on to their life praying that they survive today. Another curse and bang echoed throughout the floor.  Only one person was unaffected. The personal assistant of non-other than the great mighty CEO of the Joaquin Corporation. Liam sighed with his disoriented employee. He has been a b***h the whole day. He quickly dialled the HR Department to call on the only person who could calm this whole dark aura. "Yo, man! Miss me?", the voice on the other end was overly cheerful for Liam's liking. "Ew! Hell, no. Your friend here is cursing and bumping on every single thing inside the office. Just come here and make sure he doesn't kill himself or us.", Liam complained. "On it." Just after a few moments, Edward was walking into the floor while greeting everyone. He always charms everyone with his stupid grin and overly confident attitude. The girls were drooling and gawking at him as he passed by. He waved and winked at Liam.   Liam gagged. The amount of torture he had to go through looking at the guy in front him was unbearable. He didn't hate Edward, just a bit annoyed you could say. Even his friend gets annoyed with Edward now and then.  "So, how has he been?", Edward asked hugging himself as he felt an eerie aura hanging in the air. "Fuck.", a loud curse came from the room. "There goes your answer. He burnt my freaking pen. How is that even possible?", Liam rolled his eyes. Edward cringed at the tone. Well, makes sense why the office is so cold. He breathed deeply and barged inside the office only to be welcomed by a file flying right towards his head. He crouched just on time and it directly hit Liam who was behind him. A loud groan escaped from his mouth. " I said no visitor, Liam.", Marcus Neil Joaquin roared. Welcome to hell everyone. "Marcus, what the hell man?", Edward cursed looking at the mess inside the room. Marcus slumped down on his chair and rubbed his temple. Liam started picking up all the files that were scattered around the floor while grumping. Edward sat in front of Marcus and gazed at him and it hit him. He started laughing. "For God's sake, shut up.", Marcus grunted.  "Who is it this time?", Edward asked taking his breath. "How should I even know? Go ask my mom. I swear she is really making me crazy." Liam and Edward both started laughing again as they understood the reason behind his mood swing. Well, it was that hard to find out. It could be said that Marcus is a well-composed guy until his mother sets him up for a blind date. They have lost count in the number of blind dates Maria Joaquin has set for her dearest son. "Stop laughing before I fire both of you.", Marcus threw a pen at Edward. "You know, your mother will never stop until you find yourself a girlfriend." "True, boss. And now the room is clean, I will be going.", Liam nodded and left them to continue their conversation. "I am just 26. What is the rush?" "Your brother got married when he was 24 and you are the great Joaquin? Aren't these two reasons enough?" Marcus sighed. He could never date or get married. He never planned on it. Love was never an option in his life. It was just kids play. He could never waste his time spending on his love life when he could be striving for the world. Well, Noah married his love of life and handed over the CEO position to him. Marcus is happy for him and his family but his lifestyle was not to his liking. Marcus does love his niece and cherish them in his life, no doubt about it.  "Marc, come on man. Don't tell me -", Edward was cut off by Marcus. "Don't! I am not getting married and these blind dates need to stop." "Simple, you have to date." Marcus glared at Edward. Wasn't he being clear when he said he will not being dating or marrying anyone? This stupid ass of his friend was really annoying him by taking his mother's side. "Relax, I never said to invest your love or time on it.". Now, Marcus was dead sure that Edward needs medical attention.  "Just have a fake relationship." Marcus was dumbfounded. How could he have a fake relationship? He was not willing to risk have any girl falling for him and making him tangled with all the love business. "My friend, what we need is a rental girlfriend for you." Edward smiled.
